Would love to know where to go to watch with fans
Apologies for the length. I will start by acknowledging part of the problem is my own doing, but the process I just went through to attempt to purchase tickets for my family was pretty irritating.
My family has been meaning to attend an Elks game this summer, then I see that they are running a promo for kids to get in free with an adult ticket. Great, the weather looks fantastic, the team is playing well as of late, and our Saturday evening is free.
I see on their website that one adult ticket gets you two free kids tickets, no problem, my wife and I have 3 kids, and we invited grandpa to tag along. I head to Ticketmaster to purchase, find 6 seats together ( not in the cheapest section as the game is nearly sold out with the upper bowl closed, but whatever) I proceed to select the option for the free kids tickets and bam, "only two kids free per adult". Well that's fine I have two other adult tickets selected, nope won't let me add the 3rd kid.
Slightly annoying, ok I'll just have to do this in two transactions then, here Ticketmaster take more of my money. I buy 4 tickets (2 adult, 2 kids), and hope the other two are still there on my second go around
I go to purchase the last two, and the system tells me I've reached my limit for tickets to the event. Now I haven't bought more than 2 tickets to an event in a while so maybe this is an anti scalping measure? Anyway now I'm panicking that these last two tickets are going to be taken so I get my wife to make an account and try to purchase the last two. Nope same problem, must be our address being the same even though it's a different name and credit card.
I'm busy trying to find a workaround and we are having no luck, keep losing the seats and having to wait for them to appear again, then my wife tells me she bought the last two, great, problem solved. I looked at her confirmation and she bought 2 full price adult tickets (our fault for not looking closely but I think she was just trying to make the purchase as quickly as possible and forgot to select the right ticket).
Any chance if I beg loud enough the elks ticket office will refund me the extra adult ticket? Since its still within the promo rules.
Why was this process so difficult? If I can't purchase more than 4 tickets per person why isn't this stated somewhere? If the promo is 2 kid tickets free per paying adult, why not mention 2 is the max per transaction?
Tdlr I wanted to buy 6 tickets for my family and you can't do that.
Any updates on his status or when can we expect one? I only caught the highlights from last night.
Hello Elks Fans - We are arriving in Edmonton tomorrow because our daughter is competing in the Alberta indigenous Games next week. I'm from Ontario but an Als fans. We've never been to a CFL game before, but have always been a fan, especially this year with the Jays sucking. I'm really looking forward to it. What should we know about/check out when we arrive at Commonwealth. We are sitting row 2 behind the visitors bench.
Fugggg yehhh
That's it. That's the post.
Why take a knee going into halftime? One play left, why not try a long bomb pass for a touchdown? What's the worst that can happen, you lose possession anyways.... And if they intercept, you have 12 guys on the field that can tackle him.....
