Did you know that GBC has a student union and student elections? Just like in movies we have "school presidents" (in our case, it's the Board of Directors) who are supposed to keep the college's priorities on students.

Tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct 30) will be an Annual General Meeting, where you will meet the student board and learn what they've done this past year and their plans for the future.

UNFORTUNATELY, this past year the student board had been absolute shitheads who only care for themselves, and they are planning to introduce rules and changes so that they can stay elected longer than they should be allowed to, while doing absolutely nothing for any of us and earning salaries (a portion of our tuitions covers their salaries).

So far they have:
- Illegally tried to delay the fall elections so they can hold onto power.
- Refused to pass an important document because they wanted power over employees.
- Tried to fire the General Manager because she doesn't let them have the power they seek.
- Have had their friends actively emailing GBC executives like the President with fake concerns.

If you ever used the Student Association services (the events, clubs, CCC, the food bank, awards, bursaries, etc), you should know that the current elected students are actively sabotaging it, putting the student union at risk of closure.

If you are able, please show up to the AGM tomorrow (St James campus, room 128) at 12pm.

Hi, I'm considering applying for residency in GBC at the Waterfront campus and I'm finding little info regarding the private rooms. I know that shared areas include stuff like a kitchenette and I'm just wondering if a private room has one as well. I tried searching up online how the private rooms look like and I have found nothing.

Trying to get into RPN. Unfortunately I thought the chem and bio would be as easy as the math. Cuz i definitely over studied in certain areas and under-studied in others:/

Like is there freedom for you as a student to decide on which day you can take the course? I’m trying to find a job that can correspond with my academic studies so I want to know about the scheduling for GBC. Thank you in advance.

I am taking the remedial math this semester instead of the MATH 1131 ...So will I take that math course in Sem. #2? Or can I do it in the summer? If I take it semester 2, then with my elective that's 8 courses. seems like a heavy load.. or do I take the elective in the spring/summer? what is the right answer here?

Hello everyone, I'm an international student enrolled in Seneca atm, I am studying CPA (Computer programming and analysis) but I don't think I'm cut out for the IT field. I think I could stand out in the nursing field cause of my extroverted and hospitable personality. Never been a tech guy (I thought i was) until I started the first semester. Seneca don't accept international students in the medical field and I want to transfer programs hopefully the nursing field. Is there anyone who did thesame? and if so do I have to take chemistry and biology exams? I was an ABM (Accounting, Business and Management) student in senior high school so we didn't have chemistry nor biology.
