Somehow, society has managed to become biased against both genders depending on where you look. Discuss the problems faced by both men and women, and ways to make their treatment more fair.

Men and women are different, hear me out.

If you ask me (and no offense) I don't believe in gender equality, hear me out. Girls and guys are different right? Mentally, physically and spiritually. And they should be treated as such. If you treat your average female like your average male problems occur. Your average male, can he give birth? Can he feed a child? Does he have the maternal awareness and sensibility? No. Your average female, does she have the endurance to work all day lifting crates? Shoveling dirt? Moving things? No. I'm saying all this is as a generalization. Obviously there are some women that are very strong and capable but you can't count on that. Obviously we all need to give the same amount of respect because we both give very much to society. WE ARE DIFFERENT, TREAT US DIFFERENTLY. You can't expect your average woman to work 10 hours pouring concrete or lifting crates. But you also can't expect your average man to care for a child, decorate, or fucking give birth can you? That's my stance. Again, I don't mean to offend anyone.

Issues that contribute to sexual misconduct and women's oppression in college?

I am not talking about anything involving #Metoo; I figure that can be a personal subject that might bother some people, if we talk about stories I mean.

I am talking about things like the "alcohol abuse culture" in college that contribute to why it is high (outside of rapists and such existing because obviously that is the acutal cause)

Someone brought the topic of the "boy problem" to me once and it got me thinking.

(The Boy Problem explained for those who dont know: It is how agression and masculinity is encouraged, yet at the same time leads to so many of the issues that men have and cause in society.  A great example is the Notebook movie. When the Noah meets Allie, he refuses to take “no” for an answer when asking her for a date. Society watches the movie as he threatens to kill himself and do dangerous things in order to force her to say yes.  Society then sees this as romantic and so great how a guy would do anything because this girl is just so beautiful. But, obviously, this is stalker behaivor and in real life a guy who did this would be arguably a criminal and dangerous.)

Any input on this?

Gender Roles (survey)

Hi, my name is Kat and I am a student at Grossmont College. I am currently taking a Research Methods class in Psychology and as part of this class I am required to conduct a research project. For our project, my partner and I are interested in exploring gender roles. We are conducting a survey that should not take more than 10 minutes to complete. It is completely voluntary and confidential - as we are interested in group finding, responses will not be linked to participants’ identities or shared with any entity. If you are willing, please take the survey and share it with anyone you like! Thank you!
