Let me elaborate a little bit:
I'm a pixel art artist who sells his work on itch.io and unity asset store. I'm fairly succesfull with it and people ask me to make them some custom stuff. And I'm more than happy to do it...
But then they ask me for a price. For example I have this guy who wants me to make him multiple top-down 24x24 NPCs. I have a template for those npcs with all animations. I would just need to design them and animate them (Each animation need to be done in 3 sides - up, down and side). He would send me how he would like them to look though so i would need to convert that look into pixel art (I'm not sure if its actually called designing and want to be specific).
So should I first charge him for designing those npcs and then charge individually for each set of animations like idle, running or i should give him a flat price?
And of course how much? I was thinking about 5$ at first but when i think about it now its not a feasible price for the time i would need to spend.
So could you guys and girls help me with that? I can't wrap this in my head cause i checked fiverr and people charge as much as 5$ up to few hundred for these and I'm just lost.
Thanks!

I want to be an artist in the gaming industry and I never really thought about game jams being for someone like me. I don't know any coding and specialize in drawing/painting. I only have a little knowledge on character animating and environments for games, so I want to get some low stakes experience actually putting design into practice.
I have a basic understanding of how things work like hitboxes and healthbars that everyone who plays games understands eventually, but I wouldn't know how to create these things under the hood so I felt like a game jam would be a waste of everyone's time. However, I was told recently by a few developers that I should look for a game jam anyway, they usually need someone to at least animate a stick figure, and it would teach me some rudimentary hurtles for large scale development.
Now for the big question: Would it be worth it to find a game jam to attend if I don't intend on being a coder? I'm open to the idea of learning a little coding to make the other departments' lives easier so I don't make something impossible to animate or interact with, but I don't have enough room in my head for both art fundamentals and a coding language, lol!
Hi All!
We are working on a narrative-heavy JRPG, and are looking for a talented cutscene specialist to bring our story and characters to life. This project includes intense character moments, dramatic boss fights, and intricate world-building, so I need someone who can handle everything from character animation to environmental storytelling.
The game features complex character arcs, dynamic boss battles, and a blend of high-stakes action with emotional depth. Previous experience with RPGs or action-adventure games is a plus!
To Apply: Please DM me with your portfolio, relevant experience, and your rates.
Hi there,
I am a UK based Unreal 5 developer and C++ programmer looking to join a project to top-up my income.
I come from a background of developing games with my own C++ game engine and dabbling with making films and comics. For the past few years I was developing games with Unity however I have now switched to working exclusively with Unreal (5).
My areas of expertise:
I know my way around the Unreal 5 editor and am more than capable of researching and figuring things out on my own if I don't already know how to do it.
Here is my Website/portfolio
I have worked on both 3D and 2D games, and created myriad of different game prototypes and demos including: racing games, 3rd person action hack-and-slash, RPG, fighting games, sports.
Generally I am a quick learner and excel at debugging, and have experience of using Version Control and Git.
I can do basic modelling, character rigging and skeletal animation in Blender, and am also adept at using Photoshop and creating relatively decent user interface art, though I am not a professional in those areas by any means.
Please do get in touch if you need any assistance!

Project Overview: Hey everyone! I’m developing my first indie game, Bloody Threads, a dark, choice-driven game set in a gritty, dystopian world. The game will focus heavily on immersive storytelling and atmospheric visuals, and I’m looking to build a team passionate about helping bring this unique world to life.
Who I’m Looking For:
1. 3D Asset Creators – If you love creating characters, environments, or props, I’d love to hear from you! I need help designing assets that fit a dystopian, eerie aesthetic.
2. Blender Mentors – I’m also looking for someone experienced in Blender who can help me learn more efficiently. Guidance on modeling, texturing, and animation basics would be a huge plus.
Project Details:
• Role Commitment: Part-time collaboration—flexible and based on your schedule. This is an indie project, so while it’s unpaid initially, I’d love to talk about potential revenue-sharing or crediting if the game gets monetized.
• Project Timeline: I’m aiming for a year or two until completion, so no immediate rush. We’ll be moving forward at a steady, manageable pace.
• Style/Theme: Dark, atmospheric, dystopian visuals that immerse players in a haunting world.
What’s in It for You?
• Credit as an official team member on the game.
• Experience working on a game project and adding portfolio-worthy assets.
• A chance to work on a unique indie project with creative freedom in asset design.
Interested? Please DM me with any examples of your work, your experience with Blender (if you’re interested in mentoring), and anything about your design style or game experience you’d like to share. I’m open to any questions and excited to hear from you!
I have a sort of puzzle game where you need to dodge invisible obstacles. They should spawn randomly at each map generation. Difficulty increases (number of obscacles) as the level progresses. The prototype works and was done in Gamemaker, so I would continue with this so I can also look at implementation and learn from it.
My want list:
What I have: graphic assets and working prototype. Working proximity system. Cheers!
