What is this fungus in my wooden door?
what the heck is this
These bugs (?) were on an extremely dirty, possibly fungal infested hairbrush. Any idea as to what kind of bugs (or organisms) these may be??
I saw this while hiking on a trail right behind my house in Silver Spring, MD. It looks like lions mane to me and I’m wondering if it’s ethical to harvest it IF it is 100% safe to eat. I looked it up and there don’t appear to be look alike mushrooms that are toxic but I know enough about fungus to know I shouldn’t eat anything unless I’m 100% sure. How do I verify this? Is it ok to harvest it? If so, any advice on how best to do that? Also, I’ve only ever had lion’s mane that I bought at my farmers market. I think I boiled it in water with olive oil, but would love some ideas for cooking this. Thanks so much for taking a moment to read/verify/advise.
Need help identifying this fungus, more curious as to what it is as it comes back frequently
This fungus is growing on some exposed roots. I need to know if this is good or bad for my tree. I use the fruit for various recipes and I don't want to lose the tree over this.
The fungus is white and fibrous. It seems to grow where lawnmower blades hit it. Thanks HOA for hiring incompetent landscapers.
Found walking in NY LAKE ONTARIO region, about 45min west of Rochester
Can anyone help identify what kind of fungus this is? ( if it even is fungus lol) our place had a really odd smell almost like a dead mouse of some sort, we opened our walls and found this growing inside. We have no idea what it is and would really appreciate if someone could help! Thanks!
