Greetings fellow ghoul and welcome to the realm of Funeral Doom. Tune it to drop Z, and play at 3bpm.
Rule 1) it should be related to the music, bands, or instruments.
Rule 2) be civil. Hostility and slut shaming is not going to be tolerated.
Rule 3) there shouldn't need to be a rule 3. Just don't be a cunt.
Doom/Death Metal.
Play it fucking slow. Enjoy.

Out now, new Khost
Some atmospheric funeral doom with ambient vibes.
The album is inspired by Plato's Theory of Forms.
The Theory of Forms, developed by the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, posits that the material world around us is only a shadow of the true, eternal reality that exists in the realm of Forms. According to this theory, everything we perceive through our senses is merely a reflection of a perfect, immutable Form. These Forms are abstract, ideal templates from which all objects and concepts in the material world derive. For example, a circle drawn on paper is an imperfect representation of the pure Form of a circle. The theory suggests that true knowledge comes from understanding these Forms rather than the objects of the sensory world, which are subject to change and decay.
If you can't afford to pay for my music for any reason but would like to add it to your collection, just send me a message and I'll give it out for free. I don't want money to be the reason why someone can't own my stuff.
Other than Bell Witch
I am pleased to announce that you can now pre-order Eyðimörkin on CD! The release features remastered audio and new original artwork! This limited first edition will be printed in only 66 copies.
“Eyðimörkin” consists of a single track lasting over half an hour, a profound initiatory experience, introspective and transformative, a shamanic journey to our innermost selves through an atavistic desert in pursuit of what some call redemption, a colossal theme of deeply personal and emotional funeral doom overloaded with signals, ancient voices recognizable only to the soul, imbued with ritualistic sounds and shrouded in a deeply dark and enigmatic aura, a brillant find for fans of bands like Dolorian, Hipoxia, Skepticism, or Thergothon...
“Eyðimörkin” is presented as a unique edition, limited to only 66 hand-numbered copies. It comes in a luxurious oversized 4-panel digifile, meticulously handcrafted from heavyweight paper, enhanced with an exclusive soft-touch matte laminate, and accompanied by a printed cardboard sleeve to protect the CD, and it also includes a free digital download card for the album and, to top it off, all the material has been completely remastered exclusively for this edition, elevating its sound quality and emotional depth far beyond the original...

Icelandic blackened funeral doom. Some truly great material here. From what I understand this is a one man project but it sounds absolutely massive nonetheless.
Quite a few years ago I made myself a "Nois(e)y rock Spotify playlist. The idea was to compile a playlist with mostly uptempo rock from as many different styles as possible, so the list goes from A Place To Bury Strangers to Boris to SIDS to Zeni Geva and beyond.
I already had Funeral Doom playlist (popular for a playlist of mine), mostly to compile the slowest doom. I also have a Dub Doom Metal for the Khost type of doom (with electronics), but a desire grew to also make a list with nois(e)y doom (which is of course a hint to the first playlist I mentioned). What I'm after is the slowest possible doom (simply because I like that best, and this is the reason I ask this subreddit), not the melancholic type and then with a lot of feedback, electronic noise or whatever. What I've got so far is a bit limited in scope. Gnaw Their Tongues, Author & Punisher, Lament Cityscape vs Theologian and Sutekh Hexen (I have yet to filter out more of their slow tracks from their discography for this playlist, that's what I'm working on right now). There must be more of this stuff out there. I've been looking into what's called "doomgaze" (as shoegaze uses a lot of feedback), but that doesn't really seem to have much material that I like.
So suggestions are welcome.
[edit] It seems that I'm going to have to try to get used to the vocals of The Body. Many of their tracks fit well within this list. [/edit]
Anyone have any tips on how to get a good funeral doom guitar tone? I'm recording direct into Ableton, so anything that can be done with plugins would be great. Thanks in advance to everyone!

Please, mock and criticize it. Besides the base tempo, we feel it sounds more standard than funeral. We've been feeding our drummer Valium as we start recording an Ep to get a slower rhythm out of him. We've also showed him that the console has effects, so he doesn't have to sound like he's playing a cardboard box in a frictionless vacuum.
[https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/bleaksunrise/discussion-with-myself](Discussion With Myself), our first single, is dropping on Feb 20th. Please pre-save, and tell us how terrible we are when it releases.
Last year was a rough one, and this year is starting out worse. At a certain point, we just had to get ourselves together to make something of it. We're working on a few tracks currently, to build into an album. Our goal is to release it by March, with a specific target of the 13th. Wish us luck there.
