Sort of stumbled on this as a way to peel a mandarin a while back. And I've been doing it ever since. It's neat and easy and keeps the peel all together for easy disposal. My wife thinks I'm nuts.
It smells amazing, kind of grapefruity? Very juicy! Look like loquats to me too but no big brown seeds in the center
I peeled an orange and I saw this powder coming out of it. I thought I was seeing things, but there's powder on my hand now. I was wondering if anyone knows what that might be??
I’ve never had these before the reviews on taste are between lemon with pineapple or strawberry mango .. honestly I get the lemon pineapple familiar flavors a little more but not sure exactly what I’d say it taste like . What’s your opinion.
Hello All,
A highlight of the fall/winter season for me is when pomegranates are available in my area. I normally have a 70%+ success rate of picking a good one, but something about this year I'm at like a 25% success rate. I just cannot for the life of me pick one that hasn't begun to rot or is milky already.
When I finally get that crystal clear crimson pomegranate it makes my day. Not to mention those suckers are expensive.
So my question to you all is:
How do you identify a ripe or just good in general pomegranate at the store? What tricks have you developed to increase your odds?
So far I normally look for it to feel heavy relative to its size and be more boxy as opposed to round. Other than that I've got nothing and even those 2 tricks are not fool proof.
They are in season for just a little bit longer here so I'd love to get some more good ones. Right now it feels like I'm gambling and have terrible odds lol.
Any insight much appreciated!!
Again, no perv stuff; true honest question - it totally reminds me of that smell when cutting persimmon and removing the outer skin of the fruit - basically the perfect middle orange looking fruit
How are they different from regular ones ? Taste wise not much difference
😎
Hello I love grapes i eat them all the time but recently I've been noticing a lack in quality and longevity of grapes and wondering if anyone else has had the same issue. every time i buy grapes (manly from Costco) they go bad in 1-2 days as i leave them in my fringe and its so weird nothings going on I'm my fringe so it has to eb the grapes and its all grapes all brands. I'm very confused and with grapes being so expensive now i don't even know i swear their is a conspiracy going on with grapes.
:( doesn’t look terribly promising
why is it seen as okay to put near enough every single type of fruit on top of things like cereal, yogurt, cakes Ect… But for some reason it’s considered socially unacceptable to use grape as your fruit topping.
WHAT IF I WANNA MIX IT UP A BIT. WHY DO I GET FUNNY LOOKD WHEN I WANT SLICED GRAPES ON MY GRANOLA YOGURT AND NOT BLUEBERRIES FOR A CHANGE
I buy these dole diced pears all the time and have never seen them look this color (usually more yellow) and have these brown looking seeds in them. Pear seeds are black I think but anyone can help me out I’d appreciate it
Hi fruity friends. I got a "Korean Melon" from HMart a while ago and I loved it. The outside was yellow with obvious stripes. The inside was pale. It was crunchy and a bit apple-like. Maybe it wasnt even ripe. Today I got another one, the outside was yellow with no stripes but similar indents where the lines "should" be. I didn't really like it. Its taste was more like a Cantaloupe which I, unfortunately, cannot stand.
Did I eat it too early last time and just enjoy the taste of an under ripe melon or are these different varieties? Both were labeled the same and in the same spot at the grocery store.
The flesh has a mild flavor like dragonfruit. The seeds remind me of dark chocolate and then descends into complete bitterness. I have a pretty high tolerance to bitterness, but this was something else.
I have never eaten persimmon before and I can’t tell if this one is over ripe. is this okay to eat?
i require the mangosteen
