this is super random but is there any bar or place in downtown Fort Worth that has one of those old school photo booths. not those new ones that do boomerangs or something but more like the ones they used to have at the mall or theatre lol
it would be nice if it also offers a digital format with a downloadable link but ultimately i just am looking for something with that style of 3-5 different static pics on a 1x5 (ish) format.
Is it finally going to rain/is raining? Siri says there’s a 35% chance so, maybe?
It was so steamy all day. The air was pregnant with humidity.
Is anyone having allergy problems?
Good night, y’all.
I remember there was an antique store in the area with like a restaurant or cafe attached. I can't recall if the antique store was open regularly or by appointment only. I could swear that I went one time and there was a cute little coffee bar and cafe inside and then a small patio area with a small stage and then a bridge.
Am I crazy or does this place sound vaguely familiar to anyone?
Recently new to the city and still fairly new to the nightlife. Never been to any of the bars here and looking to socialize with people my age. Any suggestions. I’ll be going solo
What’s your favorite breakfast/brunch place that also has a really good iced coffee/cold brew. Open to any area in town.
Does anyone have any experience with mulch delivery in Fort Worth? I know I can go to the city Drop Off location to pick up some, but currently don't have the capacity with my vehical.
edit: Situation resolved! Thanks to everyone who reached out to help and especially to the angel who is arranging a foster
There is a feral cat in my neighborhood who we think has abandoned a kitten. We're guessing that the kitten is around 3 weeks old. He might not be abandoned, but he's been crying all day, and she been close enough to him that we know she's heard him, but she hasn't gone near him. Unfortunately, we cannot take him in. We aren't sure what to do.
Hey Fort Worth! A new comedy club has opened downtown called Big Laugh Comedy Club. I know it sounds exciting, but the reality is that the owner of this new business is corrupt. Since opening, he has barely gotten people in the door, so he has decided to scam and lie to everyone around him to save any penny he can. For customers, he regularly cancels shows that don't sell well but does not refund the customer. Look at the reviews and you still see dozens of bad reviews from customers who have experienced this. For the employees though, we have experienced it the worst. I was an employee, and while working many times paychecks would arrive late. After a while, we realized this was a way of wage theft as it was a way to circumvent weeks of pay. After I learned this I contacted the government and discovered that the taxes out of my paycheck he was not giving to the government and he was not paying unemployment insurance. I have already reported this wrongdoing to the authorities, but want to let the public know. If you're going to get your money's worth do not ever go to this club. As well let your friends know about it so they know to avoid it. The people of Fort Worth will not tolerate these types of people operating in our city!
Hello world! I am 27 (female, white) and have lived in Como for just shy of 3 years... When I tell people I live in Como, they are shocked, and say the funniest things..
So on, and so on...
Well, my experience living in Como, has been enjoyable. Very friendly neighbors, nothing crazy has happened. The first year we lived here, there was some sketch cars hanging out, but that has since stopped. (Knock on wood). I feel like Como has a bad name to it, and my goal is to change that. Is the neighbor the most beautiful? No. But let me tell you, everyone is very nice and just trying their best. Nice homes are slowly being built, and Como has been approved for some grants to help make things better. I truly believe in the next 5-10 years, people will be happy to move into the neighborhood. Especially with how prime the location is.
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk! Let me know if you have any questions or comments.
-Sincerely, Como Resident 🤍
The day has arrived and I’ve done the drive!

Looking at buying a early 2000s house in NFW / Saginaw, how well insulated were houses from that era and what could I expect for electricity costs (house has some solar but current owner doesn’t know anything about it since they bought it as an investment and never lived in it)
We're thinking about moving there.
A breakfast taco featuring mashed potatoes. Can you guess the Fort Worth eatery responsible ?
today there is a sale at vagabond vintage on foch street. they're doing $10/lb of vintage. lots of cool stuff. 11-2.
I am a relatively new musician to the scene in Fort Worth and definitely offer something that is not super standard (cello/electric cello). I started my cello business to focus on Fort Worth, but I've found that probably 75% of my bookings are actually coming from Dallas or surrounding cities. Overwhelmingly, when venues are the ones reaching out, its from Dallas-- when individuals are reaching out, its a lot more evenly distributed between the two cities.
So this begs the question: does Fort Worth have a venue problem? I see a lot of musical acts get booked very regularly at several venues so I don't know if venues are just happy with what they've got and not interested in new sounds, or if Fort Worth venues simply are not as flexible/creative with what they are willing to host.
I know that the Stockyards is a very homogenous area for musicians (understandably), but it seems like other areas would be a little more friendly to new acts. The Lost N Sound festival was frustrating for a lot of musicians I know, as there were some bands taking up multiple spots each day (for example, one artist took up three different sets in one day, which prevented other artists from having the opportunity). Fort Worth venues are also the only place I encounter venues asking me to "play for exposure" versus actually paying me. I haven't seen a venue act that way since I was playing 6th street in Austin over a decade ago, right before things started really taking a dive for live music there.
I guess I am just trying to understand what I can do better to find more opportunity on my home turf, rather than relying so much on the surrounding cities. And maybe we could stand to have some new life injected into the Stockyards? Being such a tourist trap, I'm sure the cross-section of visitors goes beyond "retail cowboys." :)
A group of scary men outside of El Chigon were harassing and cornering women Nov.1st around 2 a.m. There was one particular man who would initially approach these women and hold his phone to his ear as if he was on the phone with someone as he is trying to convince whichever ladies he’s speaking to to leave with him and he wasn’t taking no for an answer. There were other men that would show up not long after he started talking to these women and would make efforts to corner them. I saw this happen three time and the final time the original man who would start the conversations was walking next to a black woman who dressed as cat woman and another man from their group snuck up behind her to harass her as he walked past her. I needed to post this so everyone would know that there is a group of possible sex traffickers hanging out on west seventh Halloween night and if any women went missing. They were all tall men, heavier set, wore black shirts with thick white lettering and black baseball caps with thick white lettering. They all seemed to have buzzcuts and large bushy beards. They were all white and the man who initiated the harassment had hazel or brown eyes.
EDIT: sorry pro lifers came in and politicized my post 😭😭😭😭😭
Just this week a woman died because she couldn't get an abortion, and it was on the day of her BABY SHOWER! A wanted baby, but no pregnancy is safe, and yet texas will let her be collaterol damage for "muh unborn babies" laws. Both are dead now.
I witnessed a 7 car pileup happen in action in Plano too. Ah, and as I write this from my lyft to go home, I pass another accident. George bush turnpike never change /S
What happened man. Even republican signage used to be more classy. The amount of beyond innappropriate language signs I see now is ridiculous. Yes, they've always been there, including the nasty ones: but their language was more appropriate for general audiences on average!
I miss you old texas. I miss having so many spots to go to and not having to worry about my existence being politicized. It's just a lot!
As I head back now? Texas is awesome to visit, hell to live. My apartment i got in 2018 at 800/mo is now 1550/mo. Crazy.
Any recommendations for a shed to be built on site? Southwest Fort Worth.
Bought a house this summer and am looking to have the chimney checked out and swept. How much should I expect to pay in the west Fort Worth area?
My 15-year-old water well stopped working....water one day, nothing the next. I live in River Oaks and would like to use a reasonably-priced, local company.
