goldees bbq

I plan on making a trip out there and was curious if this place is still selling out by noon everyday or if things have calmed down since they placed 1st.

How long is the wait in line? Be prepared to wait a few hours? Get there 9am?

Outdoor event space?

My fiance and I are eloping in Colorado in April while we close our time living here and moving back to our home in Fort Worth! Since we are having a private ceremony in CO, we would like to throw a big reception party with all of our friends in Texas

I’m looking for recommendations of locations that have an outdoor space to give a backyard reception kind of feel.

If you have any suggestions that would be amazing!!

TIA

PSA: If you’ve moved within Texas and haven’t updated your driver’s license, you can register to vote on the same website without having to mail anything.

This is the only way to register online, and it can only be done at the same time as your license. There’s no mail requirement, and the voter log should be updated within a few days. October 7th is the deadline, so you have a couple days to get it done!

Rocky Horror Picture Show

Does anyone know of any RHP shows happening in Oct in FW? I tried searching and couldn’t find anything. I know they used to have it at a small theater by Ridgemar mall but I think it closed down. #show#fortworth

Hey Fort Worth musicians!

Andrea von Foerster, the music supervisor for Yellowstone and other Taylor Sheridan projects, will share tips for artists on how to get their music onto TV and film at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth on Oct. 8. The free event is sponsored by the Fort Worth Film Commission and Hear Fort Worth.

Over the last five seasons, Yellowstone’s soundtrack has largely featured country music from both established and up-and-coming acts. In the show’s official podcast, von Foerster described the music selection process as a collaboration with Sheridan.

“We do have a pretty narrow lane of what kind of music we use. We don’t have a lot of celebratory music,” she said in the 2021 conversation. “There’s a lot of reflective songs. There’s a lot of redemption or regret.”

Placement on the hit Western, which has been one of the most-watched cable series in America, can be career changing. Just ask singer-songwriter Dani Rose, who has landed several songs on the show.

“Yellowstone bumped up my monthly streaming listeners to [nearly] 100,000 listeners, which was crazy, going from really nothing to being put on playlists and being asked to play different festivals, just based off of the fact that I had music on the show,” Rose told Rolling Stone last year.

Kids Creative Class Recommendations

I have a 5 year old son and I’m looking to get him involved in a weekly class that’s creative and not competitive. Something like art, pottery, cooking, music, even robotics. Any recommendations from stuff other people have done? We live on the west side of Fort Worth.

Hey Fort Worth! What are good moving companies that can move my stuff from the Dallas-Fort Worth to another state?

I am moving out of Texas. What are some good, but affordable companies that can efficiently move a 1 bedroom apartment? Budget is 3k max.

best car sharing options in Fort Worth?

Hi everyone, I just moved to the downtown area, and I'm curious about car-sharing options in Fort Worth.

Do you have a favorite? (Zipcar was ubiquitous where I'm from, but I don't see many available cars in that service whenever I check.)

Rent prices in Fort Worth

Hey all, looking to move out soon and I am browsing apartments, I am seeing some listings with insanely low prices posted, what’s the catch? Would I really be paying 400-500 a month for rent or would they jack up the prices?

All of Texas at 4:53 am

Except for me. Turned off all alerts a while back for this reason. Was startled awake one too many times.

What’s going in on 183 in front of Lowes?

Lots of construction/movement but I didn’t see any sign.

4:53 am blue alert in Hall county...Why am I being woken up in Tarrant county?!

Join me in filing an FCC complaint. This was submitted as a critical statewide emergency. Push alert level equal to a tornado in our immediate area. This is an abuse of the system. We shouldn't have to turn off all emergency threat alerts because the Hall county sheriff can't think logically. https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us/articles/115000914506-Emergency-Complaints

35W northbound between Rosedale and Basswood might be the most poorly-designed stretch of highway in all of DFW.

But hey, we put more express lanes in, that’ll solve it, right?

…right?

What is the new construction at the SW corner of Silver Creek Road and West Loop 820?

Just south of Brewer high school and where Silver Creek Stables used to be.

Youth Wrestling Club/Gym?

Looking for suggestions for a reputable wrestling club as I am planning to get my son started in folk style/freestyle wrestling in the next few months when he turns 4. Anyone else here have a child that is in a wrestling program? Any suggestions?

Need recommendations for auto body work that's not Caliber

I had a distracted semi driver side swipe me the other day in my truck and need extensive body work done and need some recommendations for quality repairs.

I've had a horrible experience with Caliber, so certainly don't want them.

Anywhere in Tarrant county works.

Dont judge me

I just ended a 13 year marriage that turned extremely abusive. I feel broken and a mess. I don't really talk to all the friends I used to run around with when I was single and the ones I do talk to are married or have kids. I have a long road ahead of me but I feel like I just need to let loose. Are there still raves? I just want to drop a tab or two and be one with the music.
