even after re installing foobar2000 multiple times.

It started out of no where when I one day open up foobar to see my Theme crashed. I could not do much other than re install foobar since I couldn't open up settings.

all spider monkey panels are red and say awww it crashed :( or something along those lines.

For the time being I've moved back to an old UI hacks/WSH panel mod Theme.

I am trying to access my SAMBA folder with foobar2000 for iOS. The app finds the server and the first folders on it, but then I have to log in. So I get to the login page and there is smb://192.168.200.30/Multimedia already entered. I enter my correct access data and receive the error message: Folder inaccesible: Unknown argument: @192.168.200.30/Multimedia What can I do?

Recently, I've been toying around with foobar2000 (it's seriously the coolest thing ever) and now that I have a somewhat better grasp of formatting and tagging with components, I've been looking forward to messing around with the cui library tree component (lots of cool features!). The default font I have for my entire set up is Cascadia Mono ExtraLight,7 and spider monkey seems to understand that to an extent, but it simply won't make it not bold and its driving me bananas!!! Halpppp :)

There are some songs which I really like but are way too short and some I really like but are way too long. Of course I can manually switch to another song, but it'd be nice if I could have each song played for, say, 4 min and then automatically switch to the next song. So, if a song is shorter than that, it’d loop, but also get cut off after 4 minutes

So I just got foobar2000 2.1.6 off the Microsoft Store on Windows 11. The old music playing software I had could pop up a notification to tell me which song has just started, and it would be nice if foobar2000 could do that.

I found an option to do that in the display preferences, but clicking it seems to do nothing. Notifications don't appear from foobar2000, and when I try to go into Windows' Notification settings, foobar2000 isn't listed as an app on the list.

Do I need to do something else to let foobar2000 send notifications?

I've searched online, and I can only find skins that look like Windows Media Player 11 or 12, I was wondering if any that look like 6.4 exist. And if not, how would I go about making one?

Not sure what to make of this bug, for now mostly curious if it's a "just me" problem.

Fb2k preview 2024-10-18 [x86] on windows 10, but I'd say I've been encountering it for quite a while over many versions.

Per the title, I usually keep applications on my PC maximized, and largely alt+tab between them, or minimize them sometimes. I also close fb2k completely from time to time, using the top-right X button.

But what tends to happen, is I go to click the X and instead of closing fb2k, the next window under it gets closed. The same happens with the minimze button. I've tested, and it's not 100% consistent but it is pretty common, that I can click anywhere along the top edge of the screen and it will have the effect of bringing the next window down up to the top, as if the fb2k window wasn't actually maximized and I clicked something else to bring it up to focus.

Bizarre behavior, and no other applications behave this way.

I've got a pretty hearty number of extensions installed, and I tried forcing fb2k into safe mode as a test by killing it in task manager to get the option, but doing that yields an error "Internal Error - One or more components have been damaged, please run the foobar2000 installer again". Uh-oh. To be honest, I spent a good chunk of time in the past getting my fb2k setup the way I like it, and I'm concerned it's now built on a tinder bundle that I don't want to go messing with or else I'll have to redo it. But if anyone else experiences the bug maybe it's worth putting in an official bug report?

Is it possible to add a 'favourites' tag to tracks, and have it added as a column? For example, you could have it next to the 'now playing' column (shown as a playing icon here) as a heart icon or something similar. I'm not sure if I've found anything that allows this in foobar.

I've just started using f2k and I organise all my music within genre playlists.

Is there a way to add a column to my UI that will automatically tag all the tracks in that playlist with the name of the playlist it's in?

For example, if I add a track to both the 'ambient' and 'downtempo' playlists - the column will automatically update with 'ambient, downtempo' - and then automatically remove the tag if it's then removed from either.

Hi all

I'm currently building an app to show local releases that I have locally for the foobar now playing artist using spider monkey panel and Discogs tags. Also it has last fm integration. Does anyone need something like that at all or it just me? I wanted to implement everything inside foobar but the functionality inside foobar is just too complex for certain things :-( I have spend a whole week with minimal progress so I have abandoned this idea.

I have several .iso files that are basically SACD files containing entire albums. But if I just want to listen to one song within that album or add one song to a playlist, it's very clunky as there doesn't seem to be a way to access individual songs without first loading up the whole album. Is there any way to generate .cue files or something similar, for each song within a particular album?

I think a computer restart corrupted the metadb.sqlite file on Foobar. Simply removing it and letting Foobar make a new one fixes it- but it seems to erase artist info for all the tracks on my playlist- if not more. Is there a way to retain that information and save the database? I'm not super tech savvy. I wonder if this might be the reason icon thumbnails don't load in the music folders either...

Hello, I just downloaded Foobar2000 for my Mac Laptop. I have a bunch of video files I want to convert/export as just wav files. There is no convert option like there is on PC version.

Elapsed time is showing, but when I set it to remaining time it doesn't show, it just removes the time altogether as if it's disabled...

Anyone else have this issue and know a fix?

Hi, I noticed that for some reason, Foobar will skip (about) half a second of a track when the Playback Rate Shift effect is turned on (to any value other than 0).

I didn't have this issue in the past and I have no idea why I have this now, especially when I haven't changed anything to foobar except updating it and the components a few days ago (could it possibly come from that?)

It's been a long time and I don't remember how I did this. I'm looking to match this layout from my Foobar2000 1.6.2, but I completely forgot how I did this. Can someone give me direction on how to match my old Foobar2000 Layout with v2?

What I'm interested in most, is, yes the tab system that I have, but mainly the tab that says Test. The way it functions, is I select an Artist, it shows the albums. As I'm selecting, the track list becomes more and more limited. When I click the album, the tracks from the album show.

I also have the album's associated images shown: Back, Front, CD, Artist.

Note at the top: Library/Playlist selector, and Filter selector, as well as the Search box, which searches artist/album/track, I believe.

I also use Foobar2000 to tag my albums, so I'd right-click, Tagging>Discogs>Write Tags... . I don't see a Discogs tagger for Foobar2000 v2.

I have some old DVDs that list the audio as Dolby Surround. I tried doing passthrough on the audio but when I play the MKV through Plex, there is no actual “Surround” playback; it’s pure 2-channel stereo. Is it possible to use Foobar2000 to upmix the Dolby Surround encoded audio track into a 5.1 AC3 digital track for use on my 5.1 sound system? Or at least 4.0?

I recently copied my playlists + music files to my phone and would like to edit the playlists (adding new tracks).

Unfortunately when I hold onto a file and select add to playlist, my playlists are not there. In the settings under "Playlists" there was nothing so I added my playlist folder manually under "Media Library |Playlist folders".

I can play my playlists like this on my phone but I still can't add new songs, because the playlists are not showing up in the add song to playlist menu.

What can I do?

Hello, I recently started using Foobar2000 on iOS and i'm confused by sorting or managing my music in folders - i especially would love to sort by file modification date (which is possible on PC app), but i can't seem to find it. Right now the only way i found is to create a playlist and manually sort every song in order that i want, but due to the size of my music library it would take ages. Does anyone know what i can do? I'm trying to set up foobar2000 on my Windows PC to stream to a WiiM Mini. I have installed the foo_out_upnp plugin, and am able to set Output Device to Wiim Mini, but when I click on the Play button, nothing happens. The file I am trying to play (whether flac or mp3) stays stuck at 0:00. Any idea what the problem might be?

What I am using: Windows 10 / foobar2000 2.1.6 [x64] / foo_out_upnp 1.4 [x64] / WiiM Mini.

I have an issue with a group of files that foobar2000 will not play. I keep receiving the same error not matter what setting is changed.

I am currently running my output from my laptop to my DAC. My DAC is an JNOG2 [J2] and uses the Amanero driver set. This is the driver that Geshelli labs provides for windows. I am running it with USB in order to play DSD music files.

Under output, you have to choose, Speakers (Amanero Combo768) [exclusive](DAC driver) to play DSD and everything else. Any other option, knocks off DSD play.

Windows, under system-sound-properties, Allows in (Speakers) (Amanero Combo768) (DAC driver) the format from 32bit- 44100hz (studio quality) to 32bit, 384000hz (studio quality) and everything in-between. I can only pick one, in the drop down window, but it seems to change nothing.

The music files are, flac Lossless, bit rate: 11.6Mb/s, channel(s): 4 channels, sampling rate: 192 kHz, bit depth: 24 bits, the bitrate is 11610 kbps. There several other ones that are 16934 kbps but they are DSD64, but it still won't play them. So if I choose Speakers (Amanero Combo768) the non exclusive driver I can play those files just not any DSD but you can play the DSD64 16934 kbps file just that there is no sound.

The JNOG2 [J2] my DAC can play 32Bit PCM (44.1Khz to 384Khz) DSD64 – DSD512 Compatible. Does anyone have an Idea why foobar2000 won't play these music files with a high bitrate, 11610 kbps and DSD64 16934 kbps? I tried everything, I have AC3 decoder, DSD processor, DTS decoder, installed in components. Am I missing something ?
