Just got accepted in bs aerospace engineering, with 14000 a year scholarship. Is there any way to nego or increase cuz as an international 32% scholarship is still very low for me need atleast 40-45 percent
I'm an international student and the degree requirements confuse me a bit. I'm looking to study undergraduate, BS in astrobiology. Do the requirements for the different high school years apply for me too? As nowhere on the page, there's mentioned a separate thing for international applicants.

For people currently in the program or past, how likely is it that you finish the flight program in four years with or without PPL coming in? Do you have to fly over the summer to finish in 4 years, or will flying over the summer help you finish in less time?
I am an international student (Indian). I got accepted into the MS Aerospace Engineering program at Florida Institute of Technology, and have been looking to apply for assistantships since then. The website asks your to contact your academic unit to apply for positions. I did so and the HoD asked me to write to Professors in my research areas. I wrote to about 3-4 professors in my area of interest, but I haven't received a response yet. Is this normal? Also, how do we apply for TAs.
Does anyone have an extra graduation ticket for this Saturday at 9am? I’m willing to pay for it.
hi all! for those who are in the Florida tech aba program (Orlando and Melbourne, not online) can you collect hours at a non-approved site? i wasn't aware that their list was so exclusive and only offers less than 15 companies to collect your hours with
I’m very torn between the two. I’m looking to go into computer engineering. I really liked Florida techs maker spaces, I’m certified in CAD and welding so I like to goof off with tools. Any advice on making a decision between the two? I really like MSOEs class catalog for computer engineering.
I (25m) will be starting at florida tech in the spring as a graduate student and was wondering if anyone is looking for roomates. I saw the school has an internal roomate search through paws so I can be reached there as well.
Please dm me if interested
idk man ihave music certificates completed : nasa space apps
Hello!! I’m interested in getting a graduate degree in a space related field. My undergrad is in Meteorology, so I have calculus/physics foundations but I’m not interested in doing a masters that’s as equation focused as my undergrad. All that to say, how technical is the Space Systems M.S? Is it engineering? Or conceptual? I was trying to find syllabi from the courses online but had no luck.
Has anyone got academic dismissal from Florida Institute of Technology and have you re-applied to the same university for course change ?? Whom should we talk to or mail if we had an academic dismissal and I have applied for reapply to the same university to different major ??
How long will it take to get the result from the college after reapplying for the branch change from the department??
I recently got accepted into UF, UCF, and Florida tech I will be majoring in computer science and I really just wanna know where I will be put into the best position for a software engineering career. Tuition isn’t that serious I just wanna know what the best school would be.
I just got accepted to computer engineering with a 60k scholarship, im a canadian highschool so basically international student, and cost isn't much of an issue.
I'm just wondering if this university is actually good, because so far people have told me it sucks
I'm in the online college and at first it was going great, but now I just find it lame and can't keep up with courses. For those who don't know I have 8-week terms instead of a normal 16-week semester. In the first fall term, I took 2 relatively easy courses, and this term I'm taking COM1101 and MTH1701. Ever since the start of this term I often find myself submitting late assignments and having a few missing ones. I live abroad and because the deadlines aren't too strict I often write them at 3 AM instead of doing them in the day. It's the 4th week in this term and I'm getting sidetracked by other things. I'm also unhappy that I only got $500 in financial aid for how expensive this school is. I can only think about transferring to another college and going on campus now that the election is over. Keep in mind that I'm an international student and I have to prove I have funds for tuition and fees+housing+expenses if I go to any school not online. Does anyone else have the same experience?
I was just accepted into Florida tech. I’m majoring in forensic psychology. I would love to hear from any students about the campus, if they enjoy Florida tech and any insight on the major if possible.
Does anyone know what happens when you fail a class in FIT ABA program. Will it put me behind in graduating?
So I'm set to begin a Masters Course in ABA with Capella Univeristy, but I understand it is not ABAI accredited as a ABA program. The university itself is regionally accredited - but the program isn't recognized by the ABAI (their courswork is acceptable to sit for the BCBA exam) per the BACB. But I wanted to know if I began my coursework with Capella in order to raise my GPA, would I be able to transfer to FIT and do they accept credits from Capella?
I am an international student applying to Florida Tech and have been awarded a $16,000 per year scholarship with my admission. Is this a typical amount, or should I consider seeking additional funding? Additionally, are there any other scholarships or financial aid opportunities that I could explore to help reduce the overall cost?
My son applied over a week ago I thought we would have heard something by now. Any thoughts on how quickly FTech issues admission decisions?
First of all, thanks for reading this. I am currently preparing my application to Florida Institute of Technology and I am applying through Common App. I was asked to upload my green card information, as I am not a United States Citizen, but a Permanent Resident. However, I do not know how to upload it. Do I have to upload only a picture of the card itself, front and back?
Got an interview for a CFI position this week as an external hire. Looking for anyone who recently went through the interview process to share their experience?
Hi all, to be clear I don't go to Florida tech but am in the same age group (m22) and looking for an apartment if anyone is interested in being roommates. I have a dog and work a lot, I don't smoke, and am clean if that helps
Canadian Working professional on vacation visiting melbourne and the airbnb i am looking at is in the university neighborhood (vassar, rutgers, rollins st) area.
How safe is this place to stay?
Thanks all!
Hello! I just got accepted into the spring semester of the above Master’s. I do not have a background in this at all (bachelors in Psych) and want to hear any advice and experiences for those that have been in this program. What are some things that I can do to help myself come January?
has anyone decided to purchase all of these and think its worth the money? the handbooks are basically the slides that you can download frkm your course (while taking it only) on your computer except way more content and organized better? and the fluency flashcards are in the units also but when you graduate FIT you will not longer have access to the digital one? so im wondering if buying the physical cards will be more beneficial long term
What programs does FIT offer that does not have calculus in the curriculum?
Hi everyone, if you're an online student I've created a Discord server separate from the main server. It's more of a group chat for those who don't know what Discord is.
It's all set up properly for the most part. You can also find it by going to Discover and joining the student hub with your Florida Tech email. Non-online students can also join.
I decided to follow the plan for MA in Behavior analysis. Please do not be like me and start taking your electives in your 3rd semester. My final semester looks like this
BEH 5076, 5074, 5040, 5065, 5046, 5072.
I am lowkey STRESSING before the semester even starts. Why did I do this to myself LOL. I wanted to take 5076 earlier, but the class filled up so fast :').
Hello, guys I’m going to start Florida institute of technology aba in masters practice online program this is the 5th edition. I start in a couple of weeks and I’m nervous can anyone tell me how the program is I’ll be doing full time but it doesn’t seem too bad cuz I’ll be taking three classes but not at the same time I have two that start in a couple weeks and one in November that start. Can you break down how the curriculum is and how it is managing the course load and working as an RBT 30 hours a week. I decided 30 hours a week would be fine compared to my usual 40+ hours. Please details details!
Any feedback is accepted!
Hello all,
I am a senior who goes to UConn and I’ve been a manufacturing engineering major there and I’ve been trying to switch to Mechanical Engineering, however they have denied me despite being qualified. Now that it’s my senior year I have to take senior design and they won’t let me. So I applied and was accepted to Florida tech.
In short: I can go to Florida tech coming in with around 75 credits and in the mechanical engineering major or I can stay at uconn and do an extra year, and that extra year I will only be taking senior design.
Both options now require an extra semester minimum, so for people at Florida tech… what would you recommend?
