Lawd help me what is in that Cajun seasoning and amounts??? A five guys employee please help a girl out the internet won’t tell me exact amounts🥲
I got a five dollar gift card at work for an anniversary. Is it true there’s nothing on the menu for five bucks? I could give it to a homeless guy maybe.
What is this supposed to do??
As a 15 year+ dine in customer of five guys, ever since the Pandemic, I feel the experience eating in has been ruined. It not only takes longer to get my food but also if I ever need any attention from the employees, I have to compete with the army of delivery drivers to get my voice heard.
They liked my application and want a phone call which is fine but like I’m fat… I do take care of my hygiene but I’m so worried that I might not get the job. I never worked at a fast food restaurant before and i don’t know…
I had a scheduled interview with a nearby location, just to arrive and be told the manager isn't there. After further contact, I learn the location isn't even hiring.
If the company doesn't care about people's time, I have no more need of the company.
Boycott Five Guys
I hung up the apron about 10 minutes ago. AMA
Title says.
What you think? Will we get laid off?
what do y’all think about it
Got five guys for dinner… cheese burger, add three patties (5 total). I’m bulking but trying to cut carbs so I did a “bowl”, I.e., no bun. This was great, and I asked for mayo… my butler said they put it on the side. Sure enough when he got home, it was in a side container.
So then I decided to dip my large Cajun fries in the mayo. It was absolutely divine. I almost forgot to eat the burger… ended up scarfing the five patties just to get back to the fries quicker. It was one of the most decadent dining experiences I’ve had in days, maybe weeks.
TLDR, can someone give me the five guys mayo recipe so I can pass it along to my butler?
Interview coming up, beside the point i’m wondering if you make friends working at 5 guys?, I hear it’s a positive environment but I’m not sure.
Has anyone tried milkshake with ketchup?
I know the cost of things has been up for a while and we've been feeling it hard, but we did a trunk or treat at a movie theater near us, and across the way is five guys. It poured down rain on us (two toddlers) so I thought how fun would it be to hop into five guys, get some milkshakes, fries and burgers! Over $10 for a child's burger, just the burger. That's crazy. I started ordering, and then I looked at the lady and I said "You know what, I'm so sorry, this is so expensive, and I honestly can't afford this. I guess I'll just take a large fry and a milkshake and we'll all share it." At least she was nice about it, she was like yeah I know I understand sorry about that.
If the four of us had gotten 1 burger each, 1 large fry to share and 2 shakes to split, it would have been $80 🙃😩
Former FG DM & GM here.
Could someone send me an up to date pdf of the GM Cert & Brand Standards Cert?
I went to Five Guys for the first time yesterday. A branch in London. I ordered cheeseburger and fries. Cheeseburger was ready in a few minutes but had to wait six minutes more for the fries. This was at 18.30 so it was really busy and I couldn't understand why fries weren't being cooked continuously especially as 5 orders were backed up waiting for them. Surely there should be a ready supply of fries to go, especially in such a busy period. Seems odd to keep customers waiting for such a basic part of a meal. Is this usually the case with Five Guys?
With the amount of extra fries that they give in the bag, usually half the fries end up being thrown away.
This has been hanging up in our office since before I started here. Interesting to see the price increase since 2011.
Some prices as of today at the same location: Hamburger - $10.69 (a 91% increase) Cheeseburger - $11.59 (a 93% increase) Cheese Dog - $9.09 (a 112% increase, the largest increase) Grilled Cheese - $6.59 (a 100% increase) Large Fries - $7.69 (a 54% increase) Regular Drink - $2.99 (a 37% increase, the smallest increase)
Everytime I place a mobile order at Five Guys, they prepare my burger beforehand, but they wait until I arrive at the store to prepare my fries. I was made aware that this is their policy. Is there any workaround to this?
It kinda defeats the purpose of mobile ordering being that I want my order to be ready when I get there. It wouldn’t be a big deal if it took 2-5 minutes to bag the fries, but on multiple occasions my location takes upwards of ten minutes to finish my order (even when 20+ minutes has elapsed since i placed the mobile order to when i arrived).
I get that the premise is to make sure your fries are guaranteed fresh, but it damages the entire mobile ordering experience. Call me impatient but five guys is the only place that does this. I will be surprised if I’m in the minority here, but there’s gotta be people that feel the same way lol.
If any store manager or corporate FiveGuys person is reading this, please change this policy, it makes a system built for convenience very very inconvenient.
Second time in same week, two different locations. The large fry is significantly smaller is in Southern California. Before it was a white cup full plus 1/4 or so of the bag.
Now it’s just the white cup full, no overflow. Two different locations, same results.
Are they shrinking the portions there?
What is the email to submit requests for songs to be added to the playlist?
I have been working at a five guys store in the uk for about 2 months and so far I have absolutely loved the job and my co workers, however as a full time student I have been really struggling balancing my course workload and work. I could talk to them about reducing my hours but I have been considering quitting for a while and I was wondering how to do it/ what it’s like?
-or is an email better ?
Idk i feel terrible for quitting especially when we are so busy but i am missing classes and getting behind with assessed work.
Does anyone have any tips/ the best procedure for quitting? ideally i would want to quit from the day I send the email, as i am still on probation and don’t need to give notice, would i still get a good reference if i quit without notice on probation?
The fries are good, the cheese is good and all the toppings in the store is good. Like damn, sometimes I don't even wanna order the burgers (Even though they good) when I see the possibility of loaded fries.
I remember my mind being blown when I ordered a little burger chopped with all the stuff on the side and threw it all together into my fries.
So as the title says I quit Five guys a while ago after only 4 days of working there. I was 16 at the time and this was around March of this year. The manager was scheduling me at inappropriate times which I expressed to them I could not work til 11 on weekdays because I would be getting to bed at 12 ish and I have to wake up for school @ 5am. And I would go to work at 5pm. Also i was working a night shift and a guy (a chill guy) started throwing stuff around and yelling when cleaning up. After I had told him I would be leaving at 10 since that’s what the manager and I agreed to. (I didn’t comeback after that day)
I ended up moving to a new location and there is a five guys hiring. I’m wondering if I should fill out an application for the restaurant. And if I do will they see that I’ve worked at five guys before or should I lie? And If they know what should I tell them? (when I apply to other jobs should I put five guys on my resume?)
Overall it wasn’t bad working there it was just slow and they would have me cleaning the bathroom every night. (the guys thought they were doing me a favor by taking out the trash). There was also a lot of walking around trying to find something to do when there was nothing to do.
I’m 17 now and it’s been 6 months.
So recently my previous manager told me my time was going to be cut since the store wasn’t making any profits. And said a store nearby needed workers and said I will have more hours there. However, after being transferred I feel really bored at my new location and my new crew is way older than I am and I don’t have much to say to them. I am considering to ask for a transfer back. What is the best option here?
Hi all,
I have read that it is McCormicks Cajun seasoning used for the cajun fries but which one, it seems there are like 2 or 3 different variations of cajun spice that McCormicks' sells.
if anyone can amazon link the one the stores actually use it would be very appreciated!
