You know this is a topic that has been brought up many times, but I have to say that the explanations have never convinced me. It is usually said that since it is set in Japan, it explains the lack of guns and rifles. But just because there aren't many in private hands, doesn't mean they don't exist. There are military bases, police stations, heck, there are 200,000 hunters in Japan!!! All vanished, unlike the beauty products used by Tetsuo Hara's beautiful women?

Someone said "Because the bullets are out and no one knows how to make new ones!!!". Sorry, that doesn't hold up very well. Making ammunition for hunting rifles is simple enough, making gunpowder is not an impossible feat. In a world where complex machinery like motorcycles regularly circulate, has the collective memory of how to build/maintain firearms been lost?

I know well that the meta-textual reason is that the post-apocalyptic world is just a pretext to see muscular men happily fighting, but I would have liked the authors to explore this particular detail of the world-building.

I checked a VS battles wiki and Kenshiro at his strongest is like 5 - C That's around like moon level), and i thought, what anime verses could he beat? (Not verses like Romance or something like that) What do you guys think?

Started “playing” this about 6 weeks ago. Anyone else a fan? If not, I think now is a great time to jump in. They gave me enough supplies etc when I started to get straight to level 70ish, which definitely increased the fun factor. It’s just a run of the mill collector/battler similar to Marvel Strike Force, but with Kenshiro and co. So obviously it’s better. lol.

What's your opinion about the holy fight about Raoh vs Souther that did not happened?

Like think about it. This guy managed to surpass Jagi, a dude who was trained by Ryuken himself, and, for a time, fight so well as to convince KENSHIRO he was against the real Toki, with about ONE YEAR’S worth of trial and error on Deku. That’s insane

This shit is so underrated, he blocks an entire barrage of hits. In the anime they somehow made it better with the effect of multiple hands shrinking down to just this lol

It's specified in the databook, that in fantasy match-ups, Kenshiro would win against Toki, Kaioh and Raoh would end up in a draw, Ryuken would win against Jukei, Souther would win against Han and Shachi would win against Rei.

Points summaries are calculated based on databook's point-system with five categories: power, speed, skills, looks and charisma.

I recently rewatched their first fight and it was longer than I remembered. Kenshiro didn't fall immediately after the first few hits but continued to fight for quite a while. The problem is that he kept trying to repeatedly hit Souther's pressure points even when it proved useless! He didn't even try to use other techniques or just, well, hit him really, really hard. I understand the pride and honor of Hokuto blah blah blah at first, but why did he continue like that even when he was literally in mortal danger? (let's remember, up to that point only Shin before kidnapping Yuria had reduced him like this. Not even after the fight with Raoh Ken was in such bad shape).

What am I missing?

I'd love to show an HnK movie to my american friend who has never watched/read anything. I don't really remember the first of the 5 movies made in the 2000 (I'm thinking about a rewatch before, so I'm sure they can understand what's happening), so maybe it's not the best choice as first introduction, but maybe the last one, Legend of true savior, is, so I'm thinking about showing it to them. But question is, where? Do you have any recommendations? Btw I'm Italian and my dvds don't have eng subs unfortunately. I don't really like the 80s movie, that's why I'm not showing that to them.
