Hey everyone, just curious if anyone has some good general locations to fly fish in Sudbury. Mostly looking for trout but I'll take any type of fish lol
Anybody know of any good on shore or docked fishing spots within Sudbury, or in the area??
Anyone ever have luck smallmouth fishing any waters north of chelmsford? I was thinking of trying windy lake
It’s probably one of the most polluted and disgusting lakes in Ontario but I’ve heard rumours that there are big pike in it because the lake never really gets fished, however I’ve never seen any pictures or direct evidence of this. Has anyone here actually caught fish or seen someone catch fish out of the lake? If so what species, what spot and how big were they? Genuinely interested in knowing.
With the weather warming up does anyone know of any lakes or rivers that are ice free in the area? Itching to get out and make some casts
Anybody know any good ice fishing lakes within 1hr drive? Looking for big pike, or walleye, specs… plz pm
Thanks!
Has anyone been to the Stobie Dam lately? It was my first visit in a few years and what a mess it was. Why would someone think it is ok to leave it in that state ?
Looking to go shore fishing tomorrow. Looking to get pickerel, bass, and maybe some pike. Any good places? Still a little new to the area so not to sure where to go yet.
Is anyone else having trouble determining the locations of some of these regulations? I'm looking at doing some fishing on some off the beaten paths more north of Sudbury and I've been googling for a while yet I can't locate where the Townships of Schembri and Scriven among other townships are. I understand that there is no fishing in some areas, and I want to respect the rules, however I think that the fishing regulations should at least include a map of these areas that they have listed with special restrictions.
Can anyone confirm if the Fish ON Line website has all of the up to date restrictions on it including special season restriction dates? Also does anyone have any recommendations for a map of the townships mentioned in the regulations (ie Fraelick, Rathburn, Langlois, Lynch just to name a few)?
Hello everybody! My friend and I are looking to do some light fishing in a couple days, but we're unsure of a good spot to go. We both live in the valley, but we're not opposed to driving up to an hour to get somewhere.
Is there any relatively good spots to fish that don't require a boat?
Thanks! :)
Hello!
My buddies and I are canoe tripping Killarney for a few days in a couple of weeks. I am bringing most of the fishing gear, and I am trying to figure out what's best to bring. We want to bring the bare necessities in order to catch fish to eat. I am guessing we'd be best to go after walleye, but are there other fish good for eating that we could go for? Also, what's a must have list of baits/tackles you'd bring on a canoe trip here?
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
I’m heading out to kegawon tonight in pursuit of tasty minnows. They’re late this year. Like super late but hopefully we’ll have a good run! Anyone else gone or going?
I know it's a bit early, but are there any good shore fishing spots in the Sudbury area? I'd like to take my lady out fishing, but without a boat we're a bit limited. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Should we all try to plan a day out on the water?
I've heard people have trucks on Whitewater??? Wifey seen someone ice fishin Ramsey a few weeks ago. Any one else out there yet that can give insight on the ice conditions?
Anyone get out there lately and enjoy the cold weather pike fishing? They’re hitting like rockets 🚀
