Based on WFBoom's website, it appears they discontinued their famous 12 shot 200 cake collection that consisted of Aquarian, Binary Star, Midsummer Dream, and Paradise City. If this is accurate, what a loss in the world of consumer fireworks! Those cakes were absolute classics in their own right.
10% on Chinese goods just announced. IF the standard protocol on this is followed, it will be 270 days for them to kick in. BUT there's some indication that the Trump administration MIGHT invoke some emergency situation in order to start collecting the money from importers sooner.
Bottom line - at some point in the not too distant future, fireworks are going to have increased cost to the importers, and there will be increases for wholesale and retail customers as a result of this. It's just a question of how long before buyers feel this pinch.
Where should me and my wife go for 4th of July to watch the fireworks this year?
Happy Chinese New Year to all
I have been impressed by Monaco (international fireworks competition), and Hong Kong. Not impressed by DC (4th of July). I have heard good things about Sydney and Dubai. France is also pretty good, even in smaller cities.
Where have you seen the best fireworks?

Looking for some fireworks (to make noise- firecrackers/mortar shells) for Chinese new year in Washington State. Do any of the reservations have any kind of retail during the off season? Just looking for a small quantity. Yakima/Moses lake/tri cities area.
Thanks for any recs
Hey yall, my budget this year is way bigger than last year; around 2k, I'm still trying to get the most bang for my buck tho, does anyone know what the cheapest 12 pack of 6 inch artillery shells there are? Like any website or link to them? Or the name, looking for under 120 for 6 inch 12 pack
Any wrap designers that I can connect with?
My father drives to Prague every 2-3 weeks with a trailer to buy food at the Asia market. Does someone know of any good shops that sell shells all year or close to NYE? This year my father only found smaller shops with a few chinese style crackers and rockets from Klasek
Hello Again!
If I have contingency storage and bit a magazine on my property, do they still do a site inspection, and surprise inspections?
Thank you
EDIT:Thank you all for the information, I really appreciate it!
Hello,
Looking to get my Type 54 license and I am looking for a supplier with contingency in Northwest/North Central Indiana or Southwest Michigan. All I can seem to find are just 1.4g stores. Thank you!
I have never been to firework Super Store and i am just wondering if it's worth the drive? I live about 3 hours away and wanted to make sure that I'm not just gonna end up paying retail opposed to wholesale.
So, AWF just sent out an email about looming tariffs as they seem to be getting a lot of questions about it. In said email, they claimed that Trump imposed extra tariffs on fireworks during his previous administration:
"So, if tariffs begin hitting the “Fireworks” category, like they did prior during this administration, we would then be forced to add those costs into the cost of the product."
I have heard others claim this as well in another discussion about tariffs a few months ago. But, I can't find any proof that these tariffs actually went though at all. A news article I can find from 7/3/2019 states that Trump suspended the 25% proposed tariffs that impacted the fireworks category.
I talked to my boss at the professional display company I work for as he directly imports 1.3 product. And, he confirmed not a single tariff increase yet since Trump was in office.
So, does anyone have any actual evidence of tariffs actually being imposed on fireworks over the past 8 or so years? The AWF email seems a bit deceptive in the way they hint that tariffs already increased in the past.
I think a lot of people equate the COVID price increases to fireworks with "tariffs" Prices never recovered as international shipping got more expensive and never really went back down. So, I can see how people mistake this as a "tariff" of sorts. Any input is appreciated, please keep politics out of the discussion!
Hi, I am in Houston area and there are a few items in stock at the Houston Elite Fireworks center. I am wondering if they do pickups during the off season (such as right now). Can I order something and show up at the pick up time?
Looks like the family is going to Myrtle Beach for the 4th of July weekend. We'll be staying at a resort by the beach. So need as much info as I can get. Do they do a display? Can I bring my own?
ANY MINNESOTA PYROS IN HERE !? Looking for friends to burn with .
I was looking to purchase fireworks for the first time online from a place that’s out of state and was wondering if the state of TN will allow that or not. I looked it up and it said that “No it is not legal to ship/deliver fireworks in TN” but the company that I was planning on buying from said that they would ship to TN. I am looking for some advice, please don’t crucify me! I’m new to a lot of this stuff!
Friend and I started connecting line and stuff to make some nice shows for friends and really want to step things up but still kinda keep it cost friendly. We compiled a list of some we really loved, maybe some pyros in here know what is similar?
