Is there a way to grind JP without gaining xp?
So I have been playing the fft from the play store on my phone and now I have a tablet and downloaded it(same account) but I was wondering if there is a way to use my save on my phone and my tablet swapping back and forth since I travel a lot. If I just have to pick one then that is fine but not ideal. Anyone have any idea on this?
Everyone gives him swords, spears and monk fists but I kinda wanna do somthing out of the box. Any good ideas for a flail build?
Why does "Basic Skill - Heal" misses every time,!?
Is there a way ahead of time to tell whether a crystal left by a dead baddie will teach an ability, or just heal?
I have a Gemini unit, and whenever I level her up as a mime, sheβs not getting hardly any HP. Leveled up to 30, barely any stat growth. Okay fine, Iβll switch to monk and see if anything changes. Nope. Leveled back down to 1 as a chemist, switched to mime class, HP is still very low. Am I doing something wrong or is this unit just not able to grow yet HP?
I was about to come in here and ask for the recommended party... Then I thought maybe it'll be more fun just to play around with stuff and see what works and what not.
So I guess Ng question really is, How badly can I mess things up if I spend too much time down the wrong rabbit hole/job for my characters?
(The Lion War Remixed Mod if that makes a difference) *edited - to list correct mod! π
I'm grinding levels right now and I've noticed when I cast 'aja' (fire 4) spells, they will sometimes move into it's aoe. I've never seen them move into any 3x3 cross of a lower tier offensive spell, they usually take a hesitant move and wait when I pre-emptively cast a spells to protect my units. This may be different with summon spells, I haven't tested that class yet. Does anyone have any insight?
Hi all,
Been playing FFTA for years, exploring game dynamics, focusing on character combinations and growth, etcβ¦
Willing now to begin FFT, since everyoneβs always spoke wonders about it, but Iβm afraid that being used to a certain level of βin game character build upβ, I wonβt be able to enjoy the game as much as I should.
Any suggestions? Anything I should focus on? Any specific hints on character classes (ie. From FFTA: donβt waste time building a moguri, they are crap)?
Thank you!
So I know about de-leveling as a chemist or bard, but how does leveling up as a mime contribute to HP and attack? When I switched my character from leveling up as a mime back to dark knight, I didnβt notice any difference to attack. I noticed that the HP did change some, but it wasnβt a whole lot. Could someone elaborate on this whole process? Thanks in advance!
So I just got a PS2 and final fantasy tactics. I started a game, but unfortunately was unable to save because my memory card was defective. Since then I've gotten a new one and restarted, but I noticed something. My main character under the command "Guts" had "Throw rock" available as an option. But the second time I started, instead of throw rock, there was "Wish". In both cases, I put in the same birthday, and started as gemini. Are the Guts abilities randomized?
Saw an ancient youtube comment discussing this and it made me curious to see what people think these days
Heyo! So I've been trying to decide on a subjob to give my dedicated Blue Mage (still my fastest unit so far since I recruited him as a really fast Ninja, but probably gonna level him entirely as a Blue Mage).
What are some good subjobs to give him? And this is assuming I'm not just going for Night-based strats in every fight lol
So far I've just kept him as a Thief sub, since I have him set up with Steal Ability/Weapon/etc. And I like the utility of stealing gear to weaken enemies, but obviously the Blue Mage itself has tons of utility behind it already. I was thinking White Mage just to have some healing/revives in reserve just in case, but that's probably not too necessary with White Wind and eventually Angel Whisper. I also thought of Ninja, just for something different, but why use that when you can just Bad Breath? :P
Anyway, if anyone has any ideas for what to run here, I'd appreciate it!
I have many words for this level but it's not pleasant.π
Emulating on Steam Deck PPSSPP. Anyone else have issue with music stuttering and becoming muffled at times.
Final fantasy tactics is my favorite game of all time but I do acknowledge the games flaws but I want to hear others opinions. Do anyone want a remake of fft?? If so is there anything you would add or change to the game? Or keep it the same with a major graphics upgrade. Me personally I would make a couple of changes like actually giving Ramza a secret unique class which would based off Barbaneth Heavenly Knight class making it similar like Cid holy swordsman class but like a combination of Dycedarg Rune knight & Zalbaag Ark Knight and with a couple of new unique abilities never seen on the game. Adding more side quests to unlocking the class basically adding more lore to Barbaneth Beoulve story making players understand more about why everyone loved and trusted him so much and even more more understanding why did the 50 year war ended in a truce when clearly they was losing battles where Barbaneth or CID wasn't present in.
I'm still very early in the game, only level 5 or so, and so far I've been clearing maps with Ramza, three hires, and the guest NPCs (when they're available). My thought process was even if I'm allowed to bring a fifth character for optional fights they're just going to end up lagging behind in levels, but if I restrict my team to only four then they'll be getting more exp and jp.
Am I good sticking with my team of four or should I start adding a fifth fighter during optional fights?
Edit: I went ahead and started leveling another Chemist to tag along with my party and dispense potions. Thank you for all the helpful responses!
Guess what I got!!
Personally, I like any time I get to put Gaffgarion in his place and Dorter. I wish the Dorter Slums were a repeatable location.
I'm stuck in this game and things just got weird. So there's this sketchy Cardinal who just pulled some seriously messed up move - he killed his own buddy and now the princess is totally in trouble. I try to head to Balias Swale, and BAM, instant game over screen. Like, what? I didn't even get to do anything.
So I'm thinking, "Okay, something's not right here," and I reload my save to figure out what the heck is going on. There's some warning message that I think might explain why the game keeps killing me before I can even make a move.
I have a PS5, Steamdeck, NintendoDS, and an Alienware now; but I cannot find this (my childhood's favorite) π please help!
I've got it on my phone, but the feeling is just not as golden (and there is no cloud save, I change my phone recently and the save is gone).
I've played the PSP version twice so far and love the immersion factor of the Ivalician speech, though can be sometimes hard to read out loud. Also the extra content and cutscenes are great.
I never got to play PSX version when it first came out. I've watched a couple of skits and playthroughs of the PSX version and it seems rather raw and makes some characters sound a lot more harsh and rough around the edges, though seems much easier to read. I also like how the characters will sometimes say things as they cast a spell and didn't realize it wasn't in the PSP version. Lot's of charm I've seen.
What's your preference and why?
