Hi yall!! Longtime FFTA player here, I feel like I’ve run into this wall where I have replayed the game many times, but I end up using very similar builds every time, what are some unique and OP job combos I could go with on this newest run that y’all have used?? Will take any recs, especially for viera!! Thank you!
What're the chances I could still get that $5 off? 🤔
want to play but the game and GBA are buried in the attic somewhere. any pc recommendations?
i recently got a gba and have been looking for story games to play so i tried FFTA. but i cant understand how you’re meant to play,if swords are outlawed for the day how do i use characters who use swords, and is the game just a bunch of meaningless missions or is there an actual “overarching” story?
Not before somehow hitting shots that only had 35% accuracy though
A little Ramza skeleton from airborne brigade to celebrate the event !
Every time I bring up a build using a different reaction there is always one person who comes in and is like BUT MANA SHEILD. WE KNOW....we all know that mana sheild does what it does, but it's not perfect. With other builds mana sheild people will say but what if a X comes up and deals 999 damage downing your character?
Well let's forget about phoenix downs, chemists, protect, sheild, and all the other possible ways to mitigate damage. Let us forget that with the right equipment you can render anything invalid. Let's also forget that chicken exists. Let's forget every other single portion of the game that makes this argument completely irrelevant. Mana Sheild.
You know what mana Sheild is? It's the reaction for people who can't figure any other possible ways to handle something. It's the reaction for people who don't want to have to do any kind of thinking. When I post another build not using mana Sheild for those who are but mana Sheild people.
I KNOW.
As the title states, I'm stuck.
How do I open the dam? I've defeated all the enemies, now my party is just wandering the battlefield trying to figure it out.
I was too lazy to shade this but I still had a lot of fun drawing it! This is my Nu Mou she is a time x black mage named Mimi, and running for dear life as she seems to have disturbed some malboros 💀
I want to draw more of her adventures with her clan but I still haven't nailed down all their designs yet lol. I think next I want to draw them fighting some worgen or slimes!
First time trying deleveling in the desert.
Once I found out about the stat lowering problem, I started hiring level 1 mercenaries to tailwind. I just repeated that to get all the class level and JP up. I then use the frog and berserk combo to automate some of this.
It’s been one heck of a grind. Another unit is close too, but will take a while since I stopped deleveling.
Off now to kill Argus. Excited!
I have been experimenting with soulbind as a reaction ability and find it to be insanely good.
Basic build Ramza Brave 97 Faith 03 Guts Darkness Soulbind Safeguard/attack boost Lifefont/move +3
Key beneficial status Haste, Regen, Reraise
Equipment notes Cursed ring (if running multiple darkness skills) this allows you to heal Ramza using darkness from other characters while performing AOE damage from unholy sacrifices.
Other than having the three major status you can pretty much center your equipment around needs.
Deleveling Health, and Speed. PA of course helps.
The staying power and utility of the build is something to behold. You can run Regen and lifefont sacrificing mobility making you hard to down...even if you are downed you reraise, sag sword for health, move for health, and end turn for health starting it all over. If you time your sag swords you never drop, but enemies will literally kill themselves attacking you. I've cleared battles just sending in Ramza healing passively, and watched enemies just kill themselves trying to take him down. I give it a 10/10 as a reaction to build around especially with guts and darkness. As you passively can dish out damage, heal, and shout/scream or tailwind (making you impossible to take down as you are healing constantly) At first I was running attack boost, but if you are running exclusive equipment then safeguard is the best option as knights can ruin your day with a well placed break. Definitely a build worth a try. You can run things like re-equip to boost your mobility until you are in melee distance, and then switch items off. Re-equip can have interesting utility with being able to manipulate equipment. Instead of hoping not to get hit you are hoping they get a critical strike lol.
Whoops. Believe it or not, unedited save, apparently my mage has a high toad hitrate because everyone got turned into a toad in one go unintentionally. Pretty hilarious situation. I just realized this battle is going to be nothing but gains for my jp
One of my main clan members is a Nu Mou White Mage who I’m considering giving Beastmaster abilities
Is it worth it? I just beat the Bangaa Totem and notice there aren’t as many monsters as there are humanoid battles so far
