This drawing of mine features characters from FF7, FF8 and FF9 in a Thanksgiving showdown against.
I have never changed a character's name and this is the first. Dagger... after looking at a dagger. Can't she come up with any other name ideas after reading all the books and plays in the castle? In the end I named her Alita... Since dagger inspired her name, the first thing that came to my mind about dagger+ princess is the movie Alita.
So, what did you name her?
Also, no spoiler please. It's my first time playing the game :)
FF9 is definitely a fantastic game, I have no doubt about it, but when I first played it, one thing really pissed me off, and that's Vivi's death. Killing him off-screen felt like a really bad choice, even though the monologue is pretty damn sad. If they're really doing a remake, I hope we get a proper ending for Vivi. What are your thoughts about this? Am I exaggerating?
Only when I recently completed my first play through did I then watch a video of someone looking at their equipment and being able to see their abilities... I played the whole game having no idea what each piece of equipment did above just raw stats and abilities you could learn (e.g. no idea some could absorb elements)
I’m having trouble trying to sell Une’s Mirror to the nobleman, whenever i try to talk to him, he gets mad and says that basically he doesn’t have any words to describe a person like me, any help?
bastard said if he gets excalibur 2 on the pal version I’ll have to give him a kiss… perv did it 🥲
An idea I have is that the protagonist would be the daughter of Zidane and Garnet’s son and Eiko. Eiko would’ve married Zidane and Garnet’s son and since they would be half summoner their child would be 3/4th Summoner, and the idea of Eiko marrying Zidane’s son would be in character of her.
Ive looked at some other posts and I do have controller mode enabled, but my spells are still on keyboard bindings, how do i change it to make it fully compatible with a controller?
Im using an xbox controller on PC btw
edit: for if someone also struggles and sees this on google. You need to go to your character settings, NOT system settings. I got it now
Do I need to progress the story to finish Hot&Cold? I'm where the party follows Kuja after he kidnaps Eiko, so I dont have airship yet.
Mog says I can't find any more chocographs from forest or lagoon. Curretly have my bird all the other abilities except flying.
I have opened all the chocographs amd have 4/6 chocograph pieces.
Here is the final and completed version once again. Thank you so much for liking it; it was a lot of fun to create!
I suppose there are plenty of things to talk about IX, but most of the time I find myself in this sub sharing some fanart and discussion about Burmecia and Cleyra, two of my favorite locations from the series because of their unique aesthetic, their relevance to the game's story, I just like both of them, and I've been wondering if the game would still be the same, or at least leave the same impact as it did on others if these locations were completely removed or if one of the protagonist had no ties to said locations or if the Burmecians were not a thing at all.

I've played this game many times over the years, but I have never beat the game. I am currently the furthest along I've ever gotten. I have just gotten access to the steam engine airship.
My question is this, Should I stop and spend some time trying to get everyone all the spells and abilities that I have access to? I'm not sure if I need to now, or if a better spot in the story will come along. I just want to be able to equip my best gear without having to worry about losing some useful AP.
