I prefer works that have been Podficced since the reader has to really love the story to commit to reading it in entirety so you typically only get pretty excellent content. However, when you are starving for a distraction you’re starving for a distraction what can I say🤷‍♀️.

I recommend KouriArashi’s works on AO3 if you like solving urban fantasy crimes. ‘The Sum of Its Parts’ and ‘The Searching Ceremonies’ legitimately need their own fandoms smh. Both have Podfics available too.

‘The Accidental Warlord and His Pack’ by inexplicifics and read by AceOfTigers is an absolute banger for political fantasy though new ficlets are being added still which is a + for me but to each their own. Also, it has explicit NSFW.

I’m specifically talking about fics that are

1. looong (I’m talking 7 to 72 hours of reading/ listening)
2. not original works
3. does not require fandom knowledge (I consume more stories than tv shows so any fandom is good as long as the fic is quality)
4. is fully self contained and has reached a happy ending if not the end of epilogue type continuance.
5. preferably Podficced? (I am very dyslexic but I swear I can read 🤞)

I think Cotyledon!Shinsou is by far one of my favourite Shinsous I've read in fanfiction recently, and the author somehow manages to make all the characters so realistically likable.

Before you ask, yes; it even is complete with a blatant parody of >!N. Tropy's infamous "flirting with his own female self" incident!< from the original Crash Bandicoot 4: IAT, and said parody is every bit as weird/awkward as it sounds.

The Buzz On How Maggie Got Fondled By Flecko: A rather-disturbingly long story in which the Buzz On Maggie universe crosses over into the Rocko's Modern Life universe as an excuse for Flecko The Fly to take Maggie Pesky into the organic Chuck E. Cheese arcade that Virginia Wolfe's brain basically is so that he can then force Maggie to have downright-suicide-inducingly gross, violent and pedophilic uncle/niece sex with him inside said brain while the entire Wolfe family that lives in Virginia's house is forced to watch as said thing happens. Naturally enough, Maggie ends up using Flecko's corpse as a literal hand puppet in the resulting court trial that she becomes the main subject of after self-defensively killing Flecko in order to prevent him from cutting her chest open and then eating the "rape baby" that he has caused her to give birth to. Indeed, Flecko has mentally broken her.

Journey To The Central Nervous System Of Muriel: Simply because he is sick of the way in which Muriel constantly pampers Courage, Eustace decides to team up with Di Lung (his "rich Asian douchebag with a fancy car" counterpart) in order to shrink said dog to a basically microscopic size and then feed him to said woman while she isn't looking. After an extremely awkward and nearly-Muriel-killing journey through Muriel's torso organs, Courage finally reaches Muriel's brain and therefore finds a way to contact her. Unfortunately for Courage, however, literally going into the brain of his own adoptive mother is merely the BEGINNING of all of the utterly crazy stuff that happens to him in this story.

Hey! I'm looking for fan or original het fics in an office setting with age difference where the male is older, and is kinda a mentor to the female. I couldn't seem to find any to satisfy my irl thirst so any recommendation is welcome.

Most new-trilogy Star Wars fics I've read keep the Sith!Kylo Ren part, and one or two have gone Jedi!Ben, but I haven't seen one where he takes a different path. Perhaps pilot, perhaps no Force-sensitivity and the divergences that come from that, perhaps feeling trapped under the Solo-Organa-Skywalker legacy and fucks off to explore the galaxy and become his own person...I just want to see Ben Solo take a path that isn't on the Jedi//Sith road.

(If its not Ben|Kylo/Rey I'd be even happier, but I understand how unlikely that is given the size of the new-trilogy fandom.)

I’ve been wanting to reread a Free! Fanfic and I haven’t been able to find it.

It was on AO3, Hazuki Nagisa/Ryugazaki Rei. I think it was E. What I remember is that Rei rejoins the track team and is going to taper and Nagisa doesn’t quite understand what that means so he’s in for a surprise when it means his and Rei’s sex goes from 60 to 0 overnight.

I remember reading part of a FF7 fanfic a couple years ago, it was a timetravel au, Cloud's mind gets sent back I forget how long, Sephiroth's a chick, engaged to Cloud, and prefers to be called Sephy-Chan, and hunts Cloud down because he forgot they were engaged or dating or something. Cloud doesn't realize something's janky until the third or so meeting when Sephiroth finally reveals that she's a girl, and that they were together or she liked him or something. It was on some forum if I remember right, either Sufficient Velocity or Spacebattles, but I'll be damned if I can find it, which is driving me nuts. Some help would be greatly appreciated!

Trying to find a Lord of the Rings fic I remember from a while back.

Eldarion had grown up, and was overconfident in his warrior abilities after saving Aragorn in battle. Aragorn wanted to teach him the lesson that there's always someone better, but wasn't confident that he (Aragorn) would win a spar, so Arwen advised him to ask Glorfindel for help. Glorfindel, Legolas and some other elves arrive in Gondor for a swordplay and archery tournament. Glorfindel fakes his skill, barely getting into the finals. Eldarion defeats Imrahil's challenger in his semifinals. Glorfindel pretends to be losing to Eldarion, before shattering his sword with one blow. The fic ends with Eldarion being humbled. Legolas places second in the archery tournament to one of the Rangers. (I remember the entire plot, but can't seem to pull the author or title).

Does anyone have any idea who wrote this?

I've been playing Fallout 3 again recently and want to find some good Novelizations fics that feature a good cast of characters, I read a handful a couple years ago but cant seem to find anything thats scratches the itch if that makes any sense.

I'm open to any game in the series; dont care about what gender the LW/Courier/SS is; would rather stay away from M/M slash stories; I just want it to be a long decent read.

I've had this weird fascination with the concept of fanfiction in which characters from any given fandom get together to play D&D in a slice of life setting. So far I've found Game On by Soulfulbard (RWBY), Homestuck DnD by Writefuck (Homestuck Obviously), and Remnant: The Game Series by TheOddCatLady95 (RWBY). I'd love to find more but have not had to much luck, I'm pretty well versed in the fandoms of the internet so any fandom is welcomed.
