When i play a timed battle, why does time counts differently?
I've tested various timed battles and the result is the same. Variations per element/dungeon only.
Using Atomos as an example. Poison Full MAG team.

The realm banners are set to update on 12/2 at the usual event time, per in-game announcement. I'd guess they'll be updated to about the same time as the Elemental banners were updated to.
And truth to be told that was quite unexpected, considering the struggle i faced with certain elements (especially Fire Weak, it took me four days to figure out how to beat it... u_u).
But still that should not has been such a big surprise, considering how loaded this team is, and the amazing number of Magicite or Labs bosses it has sent to oblivion.
Been pulling hard on Core Realm banners twice (once when i started JP - back on September - and then once again when Shadowsmith made his debut on the game), so now i'm running with :
Anyway, with that, Zero's MAG version is finally done!
Next targets :
Thinking about how they gave us magicites related to ffVI, VII, VIII and IX in the crystal dungeon, do they intend to give us more unique magicites according to the realm?
(ffvii: Bahamut neo and Zero)
(ffviii: Gilgamesh, Eden)
(ffIx: Atomos, Ark)
(ffvi: Raiden, Crusaders)
I think that following this line, will we have the dreamed magicite Anima, Yojimbo (ffx) (another version of Gilgamesh, for sure) or even Ragnarok (ffxiii)? however, in ffviii they could have given us Griever.
About the Record Grids, will they put another level of motes?
the game revolves around 3 pillars of group formation at the moment: JOBS, ELEMENTAL and REALM. In addition, they could better exploit another type of synergy.
Record Materia: many are forgotten forever in the vault, the long-awaited goal of multiple RM would give meaning to their use.
gauge 4 soul breaks or full gauge SB.: with the advent of 3-bar SB, I soon foresee a type of SB with 4 bars or even full gauge SB, but with a unique effect, specific to the character.
I'm hoping they can add overdrive to Crystal Dungeons, because just like in Magicite, some F2P players could advance the story more easily. (I include myself)
level caps: if the Historia Crystals already reach lvl 140, what prevents the characters from having a higher evolution?
The multi-party system in the Colosseum Dungeon seems interesting, it would help us use more sidelined characters. Some I never used, I just dived their records and they are there, unused.
For those who already have everything, are already in the endgame, what is left to do besides farming daily and doing weekly events? The game has the potential to explore so much, the concept of Nightmare Dungeons with unique abilities or weapons could be explored more.
Job characters could also be further explored, having some sort of resonance with the equivalent jobs. (I don't think anyone uses Job's spellblade or samurai) in this way, we could use these characters as a synthesis of abilities that others have, or even be used in specific dungeons.
let us not forget the content forgotten by DENA. such as ffxiii-2 Caius or even Lightning Returns realm record dungeons.
about game mechanics, I think they could allow us to select the number of times we could use SBS that are not from a single use, in this way, we could use the older ones, for those that do not yet have the most recent and strong ones, but without having to select one by one on three pages of SB; some characters have 4+ Ultras, which are old-fashioned today, but which could gain a better light in AUTO if they could be activated in sequence.
I still believe that they will put Knights of The Round as a magicite fight similar to Crusaders. I've already given up on the idea of having some Esper from ffxii as magicite such as Zodiark or Ultima.
I really miss the Crystal Tower event. It was the most interesting content they had, a shame they discontinued.
an RM dungeon would be interesting, I see myself totally playing something on a difficulty of 600 for example or even 900 for a dualcast or triplecast RM.
There's a lot of old content that could be rescued, they don't need to change much of the game, just enjoy more things they started and put aside.
If the game continues for another 10 years, maybe one day we'll be buying Master Awakenings in the Lens Shop. Planning a battle against a 2000 difficulty magicite and with SB texts with effects for more than 15 lines.
I believe the game still appeals to me as it did in 2018, but without more fluid content, Endgame Farming makes progress boring.
Greetings Keepers. Our second Mage job dungeon is here! Remember that anyone with white 6 or black 6 access is included. That includes Minfilia, as probably the best magic support with synergy (and Orran, if you were lucky enough to snag his Zen last fest).
No job banner refresh, so the working theory is that there will indeed be a Darkness JCD in December or January. I'm guessing that'll be hybrid? But they're a bit handicapped by weapon break only hitting one of atk or mag... Heroes with darkness HAs are split 11:7 phy:mag (plus Vayne, who can do both), so they might just do phy. Or do phy & mag separately - ninja only has 8 viable DPS options by comparison.

Since I came back in March, I periodically make internal notes rating the characters whenever a set of discount banners come out (White Day/Realm banners, etc.) I also did so for the latest batch of job banners.
This will probably just lead to arguments and flaming, but for whatever reason I figured I'd share. (After all, I already made the notes for my internal evaluation) I'm a bit bored waiting for new content/realm ticket refresh so might as well make a spicy topic. Anyway, 'tis the week before Battle Speed updates, and everyone is hopefully looking forward to using Cait again. What we know:
Past that, we had an elemental banner refresh. Still G5, which is obviously ridiculous, and the cutoff was also ridiculous (before MASBs, 4+ months ago). Mage2 JCD this week, but a job banner refresh wasn't mentioned in the mini-report so it looks like we're getting a Darkness JCD at some point later.
Anyway:

So I was just playing and this red and white box just appeared and I have no idea what it is?! It shows up if you Double tap. Did others know about this? What does it do?
I've been watching old Dirge streams lately and I've come to the conclusion that late 5* era was the best era of FFRK. The doublecast USBs were top of the line, this was just before AASBs launched and completely changed the nature of the game. Meta support hadn't solidified into it's current static form, there were tons and tons of support you could reasonably use, almost every healer was viable.
Radiant shield was useful, Chain wasn't 100% mandatory, bosses used normal physical/magic attacks so Magic/Blink was useful, each Magicite summon was unique rather than them all being clones which was super fun and there was real strategy there. And I actually kinda like having to wait to be able to use the Magicite, they weren't all instant. It built up anticipation.
Rage was limited to one stack and wasn't cast often, so it was really satisfying to break, especially with an OSB, which was also good damage back then. With no Hero Equipment or Abilities there was also a lot of planning and strategy around abilities and equipment. You might pull something on a draw that wasn't a fantastic SB but was an elemental boosting weapon or armor that would really help.
It was actually also kinda fun managing keeping up haste, wall, protect and shell. When they weren't unlimited and you had to re-cast part way through. All SBs being unlimited use was really nice, too. Now that everything's single use it's less fun.
Overall, nowadays there's less choice and less strategy, it's more just checks: get a character's HA, get their HE, use only Cait and Mog on magic teams, Elarra and Sazh on physical, Healer G+ on turn one, spam HAs, etc. It's all pretty standardized.
I do love the modern game, but in the grand scheme of things I think the late 5* era was the peak. 6* and Argent Odin was great too sort of as a capstone, as something that at the time was different and new and leapt up into epic territory, but in the long run I think the introduction of AAs and Rage stacks as a standard mechanic sort of killed the game.
What do you think? Curious about everyone else's thoughts. Whether I'm alone here or most other people feel the same way.
There's a crystal dungeon challenge book that is going along with the current job support banners. It gives a series of rewards, as usual.
If you can master three different D750+ job fights, you can get all rewards. If you don't care about the gil, you can get them all with one D750+ clear and two D730+ clears.

I'm curious how other F2P players strategize their Mythril expenditures, so tell us all below.
Given that I just started my JP account a few months ago and have so much catching up to do, my current strategy is to basically only spend Mythril on banners with either meta support, or multiple MASBs. Even CASBs and such aren't good enough with the advent of MASBs, and I figure, while I'm chasing MASBs I'll naturally get C/Z/DASBs, so no need to directly pull for them. I do make exceptions for special fest banners that I think have comparable value, though.
It's paid off well so far, I have five MASBs and six usable meta supports (none of them are complete, but they have their basic stuff to be baseline usable in endgame content).
Haven't thought about this game in a long while. That tote bag looks pretty good to me
and pull thread, if you feel so inclined. 14 banners (!), half price first pull, CA/Z/Dual for 4 chars.

This is your official reminder that Duals are weighted 1.5x the 8*s here - keep that in mind when calculating dupes/hits. (8 8*s at 1% each + 4 7*s at 1.5% each = 14%)

What's next Power Creep Wise? I haven't touched Ark or Gigas Arena. Gonna start working through and trying to sub30 some previous content for now, but want a goal to work toward after that.

Having said that, evidence suggests that Ark has been under tuned in general compared to previous CD elemental content, so maybe it won't be too different. Good luck!

Hey guys, no I didn’t wander into the wrong sub (I hope…). iPhone 16 pro user here and I’ve just updated to the iOS 18.2 beta 2 and the game is like super snappy!
I’m sure I’m not the only person who, when switching from global to Japanese version, noticed a significant lag when it comes to loading! Tried and failed to ‘fix’ it and just put it down to data having to come from the other side of the world, that is until now!
I know it’s a very remote chance that not only someone else has the developer beta for iOS and also played this game but anyone else notice??
Finally, and only four months overdue. Seems to be only Elemental at this stage - perhaps Realm/Job will be a surprise inclusion, but my suspicion is that they've deliberately been postponed. No mention of G6 either, so I'm guessing that ain't happening. Wouldn't surprise me if MASBs were excluded as well (in the same way CASBs were in the first refresh after they debuted).
Feeling really torn about this. On the one hand, Poison was the next banner that I wanted to target and the banners are being refreshed just as Poison Ark is being released, so the timing is perfect from that perspective. On the other, keeping them G5 only (when free fest tickets are G6) and seemingly not refreshing realm and Job banners at the same time are both very scummy moves. Especially when they're four months late in being refreshed (for context, these banners have been refreshed every January and July since 2020, so a precedent had been set even if not formally announced).

They are releasing a paid offline mobile version since online servers closing. In addition, they are letting you keep your accounts and data. Such a stark contrast to FFRK that shut down and deleted everything global. FFRK could have been saved. In FFRK's defense, Nintendo has terminated past mobile games with no offline mode such as Dr. Mario World.
