I wish you a good journey, and may all your crystals shatter into better ones.
One last goodbye from your Lore Keeper
And so…our story through the worlds of Brave Exvius comes to a close.
Our journey had started with a chance encounter with two Knights of Grandshelt. The Crimson Knight Rain and the Azure Swordsman Lasswell charged to visit a disturbance within the Earth Temple. With but a single step into this Temple soon would evolve into a journey to save not just one world but all worlds in their universe. Tales of hope and sadness. Tales of loss and longing. Tales of emotion and love. Tales of bravery and revenge. Every new page brought new emotion, new characters, and new encounters. Some heroes' stories might’ve had no relation to our main cast but their tales that were weaved still held significance to the ways the pages would turn in this book.
Our heroes fought valiantly at every turn with every step of the way from their home of Lapis, to a world ruled by a dictatorship in Paladia, on the rails of Farplane Express to various worlds threatened by the Hollow, to where our journey has ended in a world built upon the precipice of sacrifice known as Levonia. Through the tales our heroes would meet villains who would impede their path, like minded heroes who would join the journey, and many allies and friends who would rally to the call of saving these worlds.
The journey was fraught with perilous threats but also moments of levity and a genuine bond shared between the three central heroes. Together you have watched The Crimson Knight, The Azure Swordsman, and The Lotus Mage face off against the likes of threats such as The Sworn Six of Paladia, The Red Eyed Sage of Hess known as Sol, The Cruelty of The Paladian Emperor Vlad and his Elite Soldiers known as The Orders, The drive of the Hollow Keepers and The Will of Darkness, and now embodiment of destruction incarnate from beyond the stars known as Omega. Though our time with them has come to an end prematurely. Let us not be sad that our time with Rain, Lasswell, and Fina's journey has been cut short but let us look at this as a crossroads where we take separate paths. They must continue their journey one way and while we can't follow beside them the road we'll take will still be intimately close to the progress of their journeys. So let us celebrate that the journey of these three individuals continues in new and exciting ways and that at the end of our long and winding roads we can meet once more at the end to celebrate the journeys' truest ending.
Farewell for now everyone.
What am I going to do when there's no more expeditions to claim?
Your energy has been restored!
Well, that's interesting. I wonder how that works if our accounts are deleted. Maybe it set the timer before the server shut down and it resided in memory.
After hearing about the Global EoS, I decided to download FFBE again after a ~5 year hiatus. There were so many changes since I had last played, and I spent an hour or more doing summons, accepting gifts from my overflowing inbox, etc.
When all of that was settled, I continued in the story where I had left off and forgot almost everything about the story! Fortunately, I was still in Season 1, so I caught up fairly quickly and continued. I wasn't able to play as much as I wanted to especially within the last two weeks since I've been busier than usual. Seeing the announcements, video, and connection error message when accessing the app hit a bit harder than I anticipated.
I'm grateful to have experienced the game, and the memories of playing with family and friends will stick with me always. It would've been nice to have the option to download our player data and continue the story offline. It would also be cool to see Rain, Lasswell, Fina, and the rest of the crew again in a future release (wishful thinking, I know).
Thanks for reading :) here are some screenshots I found from years back.

Thanks to everyone who helped to make this community cool. Who helped to make us players feel like winners (especially the F2P ones)! It was a nice journey and all the beast meat and gungnirs in the world couldn’t change it. All the best on your next adventure guys! ✌🏽
Hey there guys! So FFBE has shut it's doors as of last night... sadface. One of the devs who worked on the Global side has reached out to me and offered to do a (limited) Ask Me Anything session. I've confirmed that he is who he says he is.
So in this post, ask questions you would like to ask a dev, and in a video I'll be recording with him this weekend, I'll ask away! Depending on how many questions we get, we may not be able to cover every single question (don't want the video to be excessively long). There's a few things to keep in mind though:
Finally, please be respectful! If you're angry and frustrated about FFBE ending, or how it was run, this isn't really the person to direct that anger towards!
So ask some questions, and I'll try to get some answers!
Given how succesful ffbe was for a long time, do you think there's a chance we see ffbe 2 or a similar game? Tried ff ever crisis but I can tell that game EoS won't take long. Opera omnia was also a great game.
a friend recently reminded me of this april fools joke they did some years ago (that i fell for it, like every fucking year), and i thought, if they ever transform ffbe into a 3D console game just to eternalise the story i'd totally buy it in a heart beat.
i managed to record everything from the first and second season ^((not self promoting, but i'll post it on @ grandshelt on titktok as i have time)) and the story telling is So Good, i think it could sell well - or at least become a hidden gem like FF Type 0?
or maybe i'm just struggling a little bit to accept reality and daydreaming too hard to cope
I had played this game off and on since release. I was hoping to at least finish the story out, but this is as far as I could go before everything crumbled around me in the game.
I feel like overall this game had a pretty darn great run and I must say I had a wonderful time playing.
I want to also commend everyone who helped another player using this subreddit, no matter how "small" the help was, because anyone that did took their time to do so which means a lot (at least in my opinion).
Hope you all have a blast with whatever game or other activity you move on to after this! o7

Edit: I just finished watching it. I have no more words to say about how I feel.
Got kicked out, it's finally over.
Servers go down, flash to a cinematic and BAM
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius: Realm Reborn.
I mean, we can all dream can't we.
I didn't login the last month, and for a few months on 2019 I logged in maybe every 3rd day, other than that my login streak was 1,216 days.
Never gonna forget my favorite team.. best boy Chow, my favorite FF character ever Kain, Mediena and her amazing design, Lunafreya and her ties to Leviathan, and Sol with his ridiculously bad ass persona
Sorry, just watched the opening to Skyfall.
Just like with Opera Omnia, I'm gonna miss Brave Exvius, even if it's still kicking in Japan. What sucks even more is that I literally have no interest at this time to bother with any more SE mobile games, and I don't know if it's because of burnout, or something else.
But, with this game finally coming to an end, and I apologize if it's too soon, I can't help but wonder: for those who played this game a whole bunch, maybe even from the beginning: What units did you not get before EoS?
I'll start:
Not counting Seasonal or Limited Time Units, I wasn't able to get Benedikta Harman, Blade Breaker Esther (I was busy with RL at the time), Chosen King's Shield Gladiolus, Divine Soleil, Explorer Aileen, Fastest in the Skies Setzer, Imperial Shield Wilhelm, Princess of Liberty Ashe, Raegan -Dark Lineage-, Sorceress of the Present Edea, Spirited Friend Penelo, and Sword Saint Orlandeau.
Anyway, I'm sorry to see it go, but it was a good journey still.
Now, side note, some of these were fixed or tweaked but it took years. Feel free to add your own.
All respect completely lost. On one side note, thank you for the many years and amazing players that came across the way. Now if you excuse me, Raegan dumped his armor and well off I go to Eorzea. Peace out
I tried to open the game for last minute screenshots of my final stats and characters, but the game doesn't open up because of the arena?
Yeah, I guess I just can't stop with FFBE just yet. I'm pretty much illiterate when it comes to the japanese language, but hear me out:
As a player from Latin America, where the first Playstation was popular as hell due to piracy, I've played a LOT of games in Japanese back then. Hell, even up to the PS3! I finished FFVIII, IX, XII and XIII in Japanese, even got the platinum.
So I think it's kinda fitting trying to play the japanese version of FFBE, at least until it eventually also dies.
But my question is: the global client has (had...) and option to jump to any season of the story, and even up to part 2 of season 4. Is there any such option in the JP client? I'm brave enough to play it, but not enough to play the whole story from the beginning.
In true Gumi fashion, the servers were supposed to close at 23:59 PDT (just under 3 hours from now), but the game is currently inaccessible. Truly, the Gumi way to end the game, you meme'd us one last time!
Goodbye, Farewell and Amen
Like the title says, it looks like access is no longer allowed. I guess this is officially it. It's been a blast having a community this awesome and I'll definitely miss this game. I could go on and on about how much of my life this game has accompanied me on over these past 8 years, but I've seen others talk about that plenty.
All I'll say in this post is this: best wishes to every single member of the community that made this game and experience what it was. I hope the best for all of you as we go our separate ways with the ending of the GL version of the game.
Being at the edge of the global version of the game’s sunset, what things do you wish you had more time/resources to do, or simply stuff you didn’t finish after finding out about End of Service?
I wish I could had time to do an every boss clear using only Valkyrie Profile units, and that I could have gotten those last colosseum 3 trophies I had pending (Day 1 player here, each and every single content cleared, including the 50 unit swaps for Morgana’s latest fight which I actually finished today lol).
It feels like a part of my routine has been violently ripped from me. I wonder how I’ll feel in the future about this…
Goodbye everyone and thankyou for the journey. I've been preparing for this for the past two months but its still sad to have to go
Hey all. I won’t lie, I’ve probably come off as a hater to Brave Exvius in the past. I came into it as a regular series fan trying to play every Final Fantasy game ever, and largely hated this game due to how different it felt to everything the series was like. The bro-y dialogue, anime plots, and power ups felt so weird to someone used to Final Fantasy games as they had used to be.
But obviously none of that comparison was fair to Exvius. This isn’t just Square Enix’s doing, but a collaboration. On top of that, every FF game looks to change things from a previous one. I think what I was missing in Exvius was a gripping story mode; there were far too many battles for me to not use the tools given to me to sweep them, but because of the pressure to “get it over with” I did feel like I missed a certain hero’s journey that I would have gotten had I been encouraged to level as low as possible and use every mechanic given to me.
I do wish I could have done more of the side content. For the record, the tougher side content I did do was a hell of a lot more engaging than most story battles. I think what weighs this title down on my list is the monetization and power creep that even a noob like me can smell from a mile away, and I am glad that most veterans have confirmed that the game, at one point at least, was balanced very differently.
I don’t know what score I’d like to give this game; my list is pretty harsh, but anything from a 5-10 I consider a good game. I think I’d give this game a 5, because it does have a lot of issues but there was a lot more encouraging me to keep playing than most other FF mobile titles (like, good god, this is way better than Ever Crisis). If the campaign took after its side content in difficulty more often (or level locked you) I’d honestly shoot it up to a 6 or even a 7. As it is, I do mourn for the community and sincerely hope something else can entertain you now that this game is gone globally.
… gosh, how did y’all react when season 3 happened? Like, season 2 was a massive improvement on the story and they followed it up with… “sexy Fina”? I wish I was there for that, what a culture shock as an outsider who just played those two seasons back to back 😂
As the game comes to an end I want to thank all of you for 8+ years of quite the ride. This community is what kept me playing. To commemorate the end I thought I'd take my original carry unit (Chizuru) and give the end-game gear to reach her final form, quite the difference the years make. Feel free to share the final form of your carries too.
Best of wishes to all of you.

/u/lady_hero got cold feet on posting, but not before making one last doodle to commemorate the good times :)
Thanks to the community for being amazing, there are too many contributors to list, but let it be known that you were truly the best part of playing the game. Maybe the real Brave Exvius was the friends we made along the way
Bonus Lightning, in usual LadyHero fashion
See you on the next adventure!
