Hi all,
New to collecting swords. Got this from UC on Amazon. My dream item. Thanduril Sword. I feel like this looks bad. Can I get opinions from people who know more.
hi everyone! I am going to order a sword for my partner, for our anniversary at the end of the month. I am able to have it engraved, but I am struggling with what I want to have! he is into really edgy/dark things, but I still want to keep it somewhat romantic. I was thinking of something along the lines of "in life & in death.", but I am still unsure lol. I would love to hear any ideas you guys have, thank you!
I was wondering if somebody could make me a custom scabbard that looks just like this and fits the sword, but I would love to have it made with real wood ,real metal and felt interior would be nice. This scabbard barely fits and it’s plastic.
I just acquired this sword from a friend, apparently it was made in Toledo by a company called Marto, I'm looking for ways to remove the dirt, some rust spots and hopefully restore some shine, asking for suggestions from the community. Also if anyone could provide a ballpark figure on how much it's worth would be great!
A very impractical sword
This one might be my favorite that I have made so far
I just made this design this morning. 👍
Started building my United Cutlery Tolkien prop collection and finally got the time to display. I used Detolf glass cases from IKEA. I cut a non expandable wood to shape the inside of the case and removed the shelves. I used Luke Lighting however you can use anything you’d like. Oil the wood to seal and bring out the color. I used some shelf holders from ETSY to lock the wood in place inside the case. The results speak for itself. Looking to expand more on this in the near future.
Was recently given a sword as a birthday present and just curipus what type of sword it is
Sorry if this isn't the right subreddit for this, but my Google searches have all come up with nothing. What do y'all think?
I have an idea for a custom hilt for a sword. But I lack the artistry to turn the concept into an image or the forging skills to turn an image into an actual piece. Where would I find someone who could make a 3D model of what I am trying to create? Where could I then find a custom blacksmith to craft an actual piece?
Delete if not allowed. I really like the direction they went with this version of Excalibur. They easily could had made it look like something out of WoW. But they kept it closer to the look of a real medieval sword with minor fantasy designs. The sword was definitely a “character” in this movie which was a plus.
I made this design for a big fantasy sword, but I can't get a good crossguard design. anyone have an idea for a good crossguard? idea's and comments for the blade itself are also appreciated.
I just wonder how that work like in some games your normal sword upgrade if add mythril? like are they coating it on the normal blade? or melt the iron and mix it with mythril? or magically dematerialize the mythril and fuse it with the sword then change form? or they just hammer it once and voila upgrade...it for the sake of my isekai fanfic idea i'm writing.
