I tried to find a pic like this before I bought the product and couldn’t—so now I’m posting it for anyone who might find it useful.
Overall, my hair is definitely noticeably more copper—mainly on the tips. However it is pretty slight, and my grays didn’t take any of the color. If anyone has any suggestions for dyes that create a natural copper/auburn when applied to medium brown hair, I’m all ears!
So was it a part all this time and not a spiral?
would blending out the money piece to not look so much like e-girl bangs be relatively easy? or should i go back to a salon and get them fixed?
I dyed my hair green in December, lifted it and went black, in about a month I want to lift the black and go to a bright color. (7 months)
I know bleaching hair with green dye will bring out a bright green. I’m wondering if enough time has past for successful bleaching.
For the colors I am shooting for I will need to bleach and lighten it to about a level 8.
Head and shoulders for 50 min
Im so dumb. Very very dumb. I felt my hair had gotten oily and so i left head and shoulders on my head for 50 min. Sounds insane...but i did it. I thought it would help dry my scalp out a little. (It wasn't that oily to begin with) instead my hair now feels extremely dry, thin, weak. I need some help. How do i get my hair back to its normal state? Have a formal event in Sept. I need to fix this by then. Help.....and yes...i know it was stupid.....NOW!
I had fusion keratin bond extensions put in to my fine hair about a month ago. I am in MI.
I see a lot of hairs with “bulbs/roots” stuck in the bonds. I know shedding is normal and then the hairs get stuck in the bonds.
My question is how do you know if this is natural shedding or artificial shedding from tension on the scalp? I’m afraid the tension or weight of each bond is pulling my hair from the root.
I love having fantasy colors in my hair, and I've gotten pretty adept at keeping the color refreshed myself. I don't trust myself to bleach, but I also hate sitting in a salon chair for multiple hours at a time to do the whole bleach + dye process (last time it took almost 6 hours). Just socially and physically I am dying of discomfort and boredom by the end of it. But I feel like I'd be willing to sit through just the bleaching portion of it because that's truly something I don't think I am skilled enough to do myself.
Would it be rude, bad form, or otherwise a bad idea to go into a salon and say "I'd like my hair bleached, and then I'm gonna dye it X color at home" (so they know approximately where to lighten it to -- I don't need platinum blonde and a bunch of toner). I don't want to disrespect any hair professionals. Thanks in advance!
Hello to all of your beautiful lovely locks ! I have done vibrants for over 15 years on my head but am always looking for any local stylist! NYC preferred but for a good dye job I’ll horseback a 1000 miles 😂 let me know!
I have an extremely rare disease. Hair has 0 bounce and is flat to my head no matter what head movement I do. Help! My hair is coarse and thick asian hair that used to have movement before. It’s 1B hair that is straight and good amount of coarseness to it. No chemical uses. Style is your typical male combover. I don’t avoid silicones or sulfates as my hair gets oily quickly. I wash every other day with silicone shampoo and it used to be bouncy before. But ever since I buzzed my head, it grew back all weird. I do clarify the silicone with a shampoo without silicone in it every week so it doesn’t build up. The problem: If I ran my hand in a slick back motion, my hand will get stuck. And once I finish this motion, my hair will stick up straight to the sky as if I have some gel in it. It does NOT FALL DOWN. It sticks to other hair and clumps together and REFUSES TO SEPERATE. As I said it does not fall down from gravity. GRAVITATIONAL FORCES DO NOT AFFECT MY HAIR 🤣. Please help I’ve been suffering for 2 YEARS. I swear I have a rare disease because I have yet to find anyone who has the same problem as me in the billions of people living on this planet. I would have found it in these past 2 years. I have literally tried everything. From clarifying to using non sulfate. EVERYTHING.
Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting a buzz cut and then bleaching/dying a design onto it but I've never done any coloring to my hair before so could someone help me map out the steps I would need to take?
I want to get something like this https://ih1.redbubble.net/image.5232132670.5581/flat,750x,075,f-pad,750x1000,f8f8f8.u3.jpg (I would like it to be inverted so switch the black and white if that's possible)( I'm also not sure about the light color, if white is a difficult process then just a color lighter than black, my natural color, will work)
Lets pretend I've just got my hair cut. What should I do now and what products should i get? I have black asian hair which i've heard can be a bit difficult to color.
So I used soft sable by Dark and lovely to dye my own hair and it came out great. Went to color my extensions and they are like darker and a little red like a tinge red. What can I do to get a color match?
Heres what I THINK I can do, yall just tell me if its right or wrong.
I found a lighter box dye color that might match if I use it but someone said dye on top of dye is just gonna darken it more, is that true?
Bleach bath? I get some developer, powder bleach, and water and just swish it around until it’s lighter?
Someone suggested running hot water on them may lighten them?
I’m open to more help. I’ll try anything cuz I don’t want to waste my money and I don’t want to try and color match my actual hair to them.
I picked up Wella Color Tango 6RRV but didn't realize that I got the Color Charm developer instead of Color Tango until after I used it. I know that basically all developers the same thing but the mixing ingredients are different for each of the above. The Color Tango instructions say to mix color and developer 1:1 and the Color Charm instructions say to mix color and developer 1:2. I'm fairly sure I mixed 1:1 & didn't have any issues with the way it came out (dark red with some red violet but not purple) but when I went to do the roots and used the Color Tango 6RRV & the Color Tango developer the virgin hair was more auburn/orange than red or red violet. Could this be due to the developer being a different brand? I don't think there was anything else different although it could have been a 10 the first time and a 20 the second time; I can't really recall.
Hi! I have a client looking to source Remy clip ins for wavy hair texture.
She is looking to clip them in when she air drys for added texture / volume. I’ve done a fairly thorough internet search and can only seem to find extensions that are more of a true curl / 3C.
I am attaching her photo - any ideas ladies?
I have brown hair so I’d have to get highlights and low lights. Does anyone know what kind of a cut this is? I suppose I just want to know what to tell the hair stylist.
Hi! I tried to search it up but couldn't get any straight answers, so hopefully this sub can help.
I had my very black thick hair peekaboo dyed to an ashy brown, around 8 months after I had it bleached and dyed to an orange brown colour. I asked the hairdresser this time for maintenance tips and she suggested getting it touched up at least every 2 months so that the heat from the scalp will help the lifting go faster. She did however say it's not a big deal since it's all underneath.
I've been looking up prices and it's only a $30 between a touch up and a full double process colour at most places so I'm wondering if it's worth it. I read about how it's not recommended to go longer than 2 months because of banding and I assume the issue is the same no matter long is in between but touching up so often for roots that won't get seen seems like a huge expense.
If you also have bleached peekaboo hair, how often do you get it redone? Tbh I also don't mind just letting it grow out completely before I do anything again lol
