On the season pass VIP when it gives you the option between a character and 100 clams for example, how do you pick the clams instead of the character, can't work it out

Stage three has us throwing divorce papers at the roaming house wives. I got them by throwing rocks and the beach party allows me to trade in antiacids for divorce papers.

A direct hit gets a diamond ring; AND, if you can drop a bomb where two or more wives are passing, All of them go BOOM!

What characters drop the adoption papers? I must be missing a few because it’s taking forever to collect them.
