Hey guys... sorry if this has been asked before... but, could somebody here maybe recommend me an album (or a few) of kinda slow, nostalgic Fado, but with no singing? Just instrumental? I've found a lot of Carlos Paredes stuff on youtube that is kinda close to what I'm looking for, but much of his stuff seems to be out of production or not on itunes / google music. I also really love the entire Com Que Voz album by Amália Rodrigues, but I need music with no vocals... Custódio Castelo has some stuff on google music but much of it is relatively happy and lively, I'm looking more for a ballad / nostalgia feel. I thought I'd ask here... any recommendations would be appreciated :)
Does anyone know of good modern cover of this song? Preferably by a female but doesn't have to be. Thanks.
Does anyone know of a good modern day cover of Amalia Rodrigues's 'Nem às Paredes confesso'? Preferably by a female. Thanks.
Quais é que são os álbuns que poderiam ser considerados álbuns essenciais para uma pessoa que está interessada em ouvir fado?
Hi all,
I discovered Fado through a friend who recommended the song "Escrevi teu nome no vento" by Carminho and it was on repeat for the longest time! I then tried to let Spotify recommend me tracks but only got lucky a few times. One of the greatest ones I stumbled onto was by Pedro Moutinho ft. Mayra Andrade called Alfama. Such a beautiful song and while I can only enjoy it based on English translations, I really love the instrumentals of this track.
Can you recommend me some artists (preferrably newer or in the same styles as the aforementioned artists)? I would greatly appreciate it!
