Exeter is the capital city of Devon and provides the county with a central base for education, medicine, religion, commerce and culture. The city is also home to the magnificent Exeter Cathedral, which dates back to Norman times.

If you are planning a trip, a holiday, or a short break, Exeter has something to offer people of all ages to enjoy all year round.

The surrounding area of Devon with its sweeping countryside, its narrow hedged roads and lavished green fields are only a few miles from the centre. And with its pivotal position within the county, Exeter is also ideally placed to base a trip to branch out visiting places such as the famous Dartmoor National Park and the unspoilt beaches of two coastlines.

We hope you will enjoy visiting ExeterViews whilst also learning about the beautiful historic city of Exeter...

LPG refills?

I'm wondering if anyone know of LPG fill points for cars (not to refill a take away cannister) in the area? There used to be one at the M5 Services, Honiton BP and one in Seaton but none of them do it anymore. Any help is appreciated.

Do you know of any walls, maybe even abandoned buildings, that would be good for tennis?

I'm aware tennis courts exist, but I need a wall to practice against. Where I used to live parks often had a dedicated wall for this purpose, but I haven't come across one in Exeter. Are there any that I'm not aware of? An abandoned building, car park, etc. could work as well—anything at all really, as long it's not someone's living room wall. I would really appreciate any suggestions!

Birthday party ideas for 6 years old?

I’m looking for birthday party ideas for my child who will be turning 6 soon. I’d love to find a venue within the CITY CENTRE to celebrate with a few of his friends. I’m open to play experiences or places that offer both play/crafts and set snacks. Thank you!

Where to buy cigars in Exeter

Does anyone know where I can buy cigars in Exeter? Nothing overly fancy required just something nice as a one off occasion. McGaheys used to be my go to, but seems to have disappeared off the high street. Thanks.

One Piece

Hi! Just wondering if anyone is interested in the One Piece tcg? I'm trying to get a group together, but according to Imperial they often had low turnout at their events, so they don't run them anymore. So if anyone is interested or knows anyone who might be, please let me know! I'd love to be able to get a few people who would be interested. Thanks!

Hello everyone, I play for a team in a league at Exeter University. We are looking for 1/2 regular players for Tuesday evenings. Age range for us is 20's-early 30's, although we are not bothered by how old you are. We are pretty easy going, drop a comment or message if keen.

Cheers!

FEATURES // 2024-25 SEND overspend rises to £45.8m as government “safety valve” deal target breach doubles to £14.7m in two months

County council breaches Local Government Act by failing to publish budget documents in time for scrutiny and cabinet meetings and councillors complain about missing financial information and being “kept in the dark” about SEND delivery.
