In the past I've purchased bits and pieces from BandQ. Mostly it's okay, but their wood quality is not always the best.

Where do you guys source your raw materials from for your DIY projects?

Hi all

Me and my boyfriend were just stood outside Efes whilst waiting for some food, we’re both St James’s resident and have never had an issue in Sidwell Street before, it’s our favourite street.

A load of guys walked past us carrying a guy who looked like he was either drunk or on ketamine. My boyfriend approached him and asked if the friend was ok, and offered help.

One of the guys who was dressed in green and dressed as a grandma with a wig on then approached my boyfriend and started trying to start a fight with him. We backed away. He continued to try fight us both until I went forward and tried to push him away but he continued to start on me (female). His friend then intervened and pulled him away from us whilst he’s hurdled abuse at us.

I just wanted to post this in the hope that somebody knows who he is and can shame him tomorrow for his actions, and also to warn people tonight.

why have fireworks been going off for almost an hour? what is celebrating in England 02.11?

I'm selling 2 tickets to the Rock Orchestra by candlelight at the Great Hall, on Nov 10th. I sadly can no longer go, tickets were £45 each. Let me know if you want to buy them.

Morning all,

The time has come where I (33M) am fed up with Stagecoach to the point where I’m finally ready to learn to drive.

Any recommendations for good instructors? Preferably ones that don’t annihilate my wallet (have seen a couple advertised at £70+ an hour, which is plain silly).

Hi All,

I’m not from the area - but I’ll be visiting Dartmoor for the first time soon for an art residency and have some free time afterwards and will be travelling via Exeter.

I don’t drive :( so I’m a bit limited. But I have the gift of time for once. I’m interested in landscapes, ancient sites, history and folklore. I was wondering whether anyone could give me some recs on things to do, that can be day trips or even a few days 😊 google is a bit overwhelming so I’d appreciate any tips! I’ve never been down those ways before so all new to me. Thank you!

I've been wanting to move nearer the coast for quite a while now, I've done some looking around Devon and from what I've seen Exeter seems quite nice. I'm a 24 year old guy looking for a progressive enough area to live in with stuff to do and varied shops, and with nice people. I'm in Cambridgeshire and it's been in decline for at least a decade, I find it pretty much unlivable now. Do you guys recommend Exeter? Are the people broadly nice? Is it clean? Anything and everything you have to say will be really helpful.

Just curious if anyone else is going to see the show in November! I’m so excited to see them again, but am intimidated a bit by the larger arena (and huge standing room pit). Has anybody seen a show there before, and how did it go?

I'm an exeter college student and I had to drive in today though I usually get the train, I'm currently parked at guildhall but I'll be working after college tonight so I wondered if there was anywhere I could park for free near St Davids station as that's closer to where I work, and to save paying for parking until 8pm tonight. I am under the age of 18 and enjoy metal and hardcore music, but the only place I know of In Exeter that does these gigs is the Cavern, which is 18+. Does anyone know where I can go to experience this stuff?

Coming from Manchester I'm shocked to see that there aren't any strip clubs in Exeter/Exmouth or honestly anywhere near them, is it just a difference in culture?

Looking for a place in Exeter which repairs clothes, specifically denim jeans. One of my trousers have the pocket lining worn down and has a rip in it. The jeans is still in tact and have got loads more wear left in it and very comfortable that’s why it is a shame to just throw it out.

Any idea where I can have it repaired in Exeter?

Is there any good places to seem them from? I have been before and hate driving in and out.

Any good spots?

Anyone have any recommendations for cheap Chinese takeout. Just want something like salt and pepper chips or crispy chilli beef kind of thing.
