I don't know if this is against the rules, of so please remove. I tried to remove anything that specifically identifies anybody. I moved here from the country last year and I am still getting used to the city. This was so jarring I just... I want to check with other folks local to the areas to know if this is a location to avoid.
Tonight at the Safeway off 41st & Rucker, my partner and I witnessed the a night manager aggressively yelling and swearing at an employee, who was crying while he kept berating her. It was shocking and completely unprofessional.
When he noticed we were watching, he approached us aggressively, looking for conflict, and asked in a hostile tone, "Do you need something?" We asked for the manager, and when he said it was him, we asked for a superior manager. At that point, he became even more hostile, started swearing at us and another customer, and continued cursing as we left the store.
His behavior was so aggressive that we immediately stopped shopping, checked out, and positioned ourselves near the front of the store in case we needed to call the police. We were genuinely concerned he might physically attack the employee, given how out of control he seemed.
We’re planning to speak with the store manager first thing in the morning to report this, along with at least two other customers he verbally attacked tonight and have already filed a formal complaint with corporate.
Has anyone else ever experienced this kind of situation at this Safeway? It was one of the most unprofessional and aggressive displays I’ve ever seen in a grocery store (by a member of management), and I’m curious if this was an isolated incident or if others have witnessed similar behavior there.
My son is interested in busking around town (acoustic guitar and singing) at places like the waterfront. I haven't been able to find any information about the legality of busking in Everett. Does anyone here have insight into whether he can legally busk? Thanks!
Be careful walking around out there. But the drink are hot are adorable at South Fork Baking!
I'm looking for someone that can install clear plastic sheeting (or Tyvek) around a small apartment balcony so it holds in heat from an electric space heater. Recommendations would be appreciated.
Moving to the cascade view close to highway 99 and Everett mall area in everett. I notice all the shops are at a walking distance and the Everett police station is a 5 mins drive. How safe is this area being it not too far from casino road?
Since I've seen people post asking where they are several times, well today they're on Evergreen and Casino (by the smoke shop).
hello, this is my first reddit post ever lol. i currently live in dallas tx and plan to move to everett or at least near it within the next couple of months, just wondering if there’s any recommendations on safe areas of everett or even safe surrounding cities? i am an 18 year old female moving by myself so definitely want to be sure im moving to a decent area 😊 any info in or around everett would be greatly appreciated as im not able to visit often due to distance and money

Apparently some car drove thru our neighborhood shooting a gun out of the car. My younger siblings said they heard about 7 shots fired. Not sure if they were shooting at someone or something or just up into the air as they drove past our house. This happened Friday 1/31/25. We live in a residential street with houses next to each other so not sure if it’s some kind of warning but definitely feels uneasy with things like this happening in our streets now. We’ve lived here for over 25 years.
We ended up finding some bullet casings so it was definitely gunshots and no a loud exhaust which we’ve been having issues with.
If it matters we live by 2nd ave next to north creek apartments on 3rd ave
I am looking for a few recommendations if anyone has any. I'm still rather new to Everett and want to stop traveling into Seattle if possible for my hobby supplies.
First, I'm looking for a really good fabric shop/repair store to do maintenance on older Singer Sewing machines (Pre 90's).
Next, does Everett have a local rock shop? I've been to NW Rockshop and while a pretty interesting place, I have not had a great experience with them when I've gone in. Bonus points for classes and not being a new age focus.
I'm also searching for a local jeweler who can work with antique ivory and either do repairs or create something new out of a few pieces that got badly damaged in moving. I'm pretty sure at least 2 of the pieces are damaged beyond repair, but I'd like to see what's possible.
I’ve got a craving for coconut shrimp since last weekend when I had a 2 entree plate from Thai Go! In the Alderwood mall (Bbq chicken and Coconut shrimp, rice and lo mein with a mango lemonade on the side) for the low price of 21 dollars. Wondering if anyone can help me with a closer option as I am lazy and don’t like the idea of going to a mall just for lunch¨̮
I ride occasionally and couldn’t find any single place with good discussion dedicated to Cascades service, so here it is!

Title pretty much says it all. Told a girl and her friend that they can’t park in handicapped parking, wasn’t rude about it or anything. They continued backing into the spot so I walked off into the store (the Nordstrom Rack in Lynnwood). Few minutes later I hear them talking shit about me, they followed me into the store and when I turned to them they started yelling about how I was being rude and a racist for getting after them. I called them entitled fucking Mercedes drivers and left after that.
So, here’s the question. As a sole individual, can you report a car for parking in a handicap parking spot when they have neither the placard nor the plate? Would taking pictures of the car clearly showing the plate and sign be valuable to the cops if the person were to drive off? I mean if the cops even would do anything about that here… These were two young girls who were clearly just being lazy. As someone who has had to help my mother across parking lots in the past due to her significantly horrible health conditions, people who park in handicapped parking and don’t require it disgust me cough cough Mercedes drivers, it’s you 95% of the time
Edit before this goes anywhere and just for clarification: These two girls were young, clearly in good health, and they had zero identification on their Mercedes allowing them to park there. Yes I understand disabilities allowing the use of a handicap spot can be invisible, and in those situations I highly recommend to anyone GET YOUR PLACARD/License Plate! If you’re not certain if you may need one, you can always discuss this with your doctor.
If I ever start a towing company, we’d tow entitled people from handicap spots for free.
Following in the likes of some other WA communities, I wanted to start a thread of businesses/companies that should be boycotted by those opposing maga ideologies. Feel free to chime in with any businesses owned by good humans that we SHOULD support as well.
ICE was spotted last night at Winco Foods in Silver Lake in an unmarked SUV with an Everett PD squad car. This was around 9:30pm. I know they aren't there anymore, but the fact they are patrolling grocery stores late at night is concerning.
Good evening everyone! I am possibly moving to Everett from Bremerton soon for employment on the base. I was wondering where I can find a room? Every listing on CL or FB Marketplace is either a scam or unresponsive so I'm gonna try and push my luck here. A little background from me, I'm a Navy vet who just got out in 2024 and I have been gainfully employed with a delivery and install job here in Bremerton for almost 6 months now. I am clean-never done drugs, don't drink or smoke, and I respect everyone's personal space. I'm also quiet and single. I have no issues chipping in with household stuff. If you know anyone or you're looking for a roommate, let's have a chat! Thank you very much!
