I am sure this same questions probably pops up here all the time but sorry not sorry. I was looking through my promotion tabs in emails for some god knows why reason and saw an EVE revenant expansion email. I thought to myself, that was fun, I wonder what the game is like today.
I played EVE a LOT but stopped back in around 2012 after a collapse of the corporation I was in and the loss of a lot of my in-game assets + a new RL job.
Two Main Questions:
Might be worth coming back to try some of the new content.
In Revenant expansion CCP add this:
Since volumetric clouds are part of the graphical updates, please note that they can potentially impact performance when multi-boxing. To mitigate this, we’ve added a setting that disables clouds when low shader quality is selected.
Im play with single account and high graphical settings. And i want to disagle this clouds on high shader settings! PLZ
CCP created an item with an in game event, lore tie ins, and a month long of hype only to shoot it in the back of the head on patch day by making it completely worthless. Atavum is simply not farmable in the quantities CCP has balanced it around. I don't know if someone at CCP thinks they can dictate what items are worth, but, fuckin quit it. You took a good thing and made it a dumb temporary gimmick to fix the fact you can't price control exploration loot. Creating a passively farmed commodity that can be used as an alternative to compete with something actively farmed is a joke. Ignoring all the aspects of merc dens and the new ships, you can't require 2400 of an item that is found in quantities of up to 10 per site, and also expect that item to trade at 500k ISK each.
Stop trying to manufacture fixed price commodities.
So I see a lot of recent YouTube videos 12-18 months old about marauder ratting being the bomb! The most isk and damage etc.
But then people in game say it’s dead and just too high risk since the bastion module changed from 30sec tick to 60sec tick.
Yes I understand the risk with a full min stuck in bastion but is that really the nail in the coffin? Anyone still doing it?
I’m sick to death of Ishtar ratting and am happy to be active in game single box focused without stormies.
Hello, as a player who has been away for a very long time, could someone please explain the recent uproar of the ratting changes?
How was it before, Why was it a problem, what were the bad changes specifically, and how does it effect the game overall?

CCPlease, all I want for Xmas event is googly eyes for mah ship
Like title says..I'm disappointed in that. My Corp mate mentioned that J Space doesn't get any new content or updates from this expansion. Will CCP add anything for wormhole corps in the future?
I've created a private Paragon Hub listing, the creation fee was deducted from my wallet, the skin is no longer in the list of my unactivated skins, but I can't find that listing anywhere.
If you're tired of the grind and want a passive ISK farming strategy with no skill requirements, minimal effort, and zero risk, this is for you. Here's how you can make 2.000 billion ISK in just 3 months winning the Alliance Tournament with 1 toon—and all you need is a bit of patience.
In 3 months, you’ll earn a total of 2.000 billion ISK, which averages to about 13,5 billion ISK per hour of semi-AFK, no-risk work. This is a perfect strategy to fund a coup in a subsaharan African country or bankroll your real life PvP action without ever having to grind another mission or mining op!
Ps: And the best part? If you take on the responsibility of any of the following:
You might be able to earn even more!
Can we please have them reworked to have no structure timers the same as MTUs?
Thanks.
Wow. We managed to add a deployable structure that afk farms shit and two ships.
Truly incredible. EVE is saved. I read every day in discord and this subreddit the main problem people have with eve is there’s not enough afk content and structure timers.
I think the next expansion we should add a faction mobile depot, two new pirate frigates, a nerf to crab beacons, and let’s add skinr packs to the store for $19.99. Hire me
Obviously, above and beyond what is in the patch notes.
Any surprises from setting one up etc.?
What sort of rate do they produce the infomorphs?
Every single "New improved UI element" you have given us uses twice the space to display half the info, and the other half is hidden behind some convoluted unintuitive symbol.
They're bad at basic UI 101. Somebody got paid to design them and nobody thought to say it's shite?
I'm a solo player and occasionally play with one other friend. We took a break about 3 years ago and just started playing again. We stick to high sec and run some missions for fun. I was really interested in mining and industry but after finally saving up for my first exhumer I was immediately caught in a gate camp by 2 tech 3 ships and lost the ship immediately.
At this point is it just better to only mine in high sec and buy other materials for blueprint runs and not even risk it at this point? I know certain things can only be built from the low sec materials. Not sure if i should just give up on industry all together. I basically lost all my progress and I'm trying hard to not be discouraged to quit again.
Hello caps, I have tried getting into eve a couple times in the past even joining a corp last year to get some help and a sense of things. flew way out into god knows where to their base and just felt lost and stuck not knowing what to do. Well now I see there's a new expansion and wanna try again though I'm not sure what to do. I did a lot of the sisters quests I remember and I do like combat. Any tips?
Hi folks,
excuse for my bad english, but im about to share my eve story in here. Im in desperate need of help. To make a long story short:
I receive a ban for 3 days by using a macro. I told my self alright how can this happen, but i was pretty sure just the mass of my operation lead people to just report my sorry ass in highsec. Dindt even bother myself to talk to Gm´s because this would lead to nothing like so many other tickets i´ve written about ship loss by ingame bugs etc.
dont get me wrong overall im happy about GM´s and tickets. they are pretty fast and many times super helpfull. After this first ban i was pretty mad. tried to calm my self lay my hands down for few days might help my mood overall. never the less i prepared myself to handle the situation if they might ban me again. didnt even needed long. After 7 days of busy playtime i receive a next ban.
THIS TIME i told my self im soo smart. i even get a security camera and recorded everything on my desk for this 7 days. i uploaded everything into my dropbox (around 200gb) and even explained my setup.
i use Eve-o, changed shortcuts to handle my massiv operation by hammering the buttons next each other.
Here u see my sorry ass setup:
red circle is my eve-o setup. blue circle is my second pc with few accounts running on it. yellow is my main monitor i use for overall controll of the situation. i explained in my ticket how my setup works here in short for u guys.
i changed my eve-o setting for shortcuts into this:
this is legal as i know, because i dont skip anything into something that is shorter. it only makes handling accounts way more easy.
second i handle this kinda weird shortcuts on my keyboard to get a fast track to my charakters. so i lay everyshortcut for easy access like this:
yeah ur right. this are many accounts. and yeah i reduce them for sure in future. I use a letter (like "a" )to switch to this character and "0" for getting missles out of launcher.
even with my video material where u see everything. and i mean everything i did or didnt do in this 7 days i get no response at all in 16 days. i cant even go do stuff i normally do i fear of the next ban. and lets be real this one could be for ever.
if someone has some knowledge how to handle it, shortcut to ccp. knowledge how to proof that i dindt do something wrong or did wrong.
thanks so much
I live in null I get why people are complaining
However these changes should affect Botters as well . All we ever do is cry about botting and RMt
Now seems like these changes hurt the bots and pochven and we cry about something else
If you're tired of the grind and want a passive ISK farming strategy with no skill requirements, minimal effort, and zero risk, this is for you. Here's how you can make 66 billion ISK in just 3 months using Project Discovery with 6 toons—and all you need is a bit of patience.
In 3 months, you’ll earn a total of 66 billion ISK, which averages to about 400 million ISK per hour of semi-AFK, no-risk work. This is a perfect strategy to fund Omega accounts or bankroll your PvP action without ever having to grind another mission or mining op!
Ps: And the best part? If you do it accurately, you're actually helping to contribute to scientific research by assisting in the cure of diseases.
This is my opinion/observation
inb4 reddit hate for CCP, I'm not saying this was some great expansion - it's overall pretty meh, with some good potential.
TLDR: Merc Dens have the potential to start a shift to more nullbloc members living in their space, but there are improvements that could be made to significantly further that. Overall, a step in the right direction. Thoughts? Let's make this a discussion thread :)
Mercenary Dens have two main mechanics:
The neat thing about them is that if they are completely left alone, they will slowly start to siphon more and more workforce, which would likely end up shutting off Sov Hub upgrades. This means that in order to keep Sov Hub upgrades online, the player who anchored the Merc Den will actively need to run the missions every so often
Running those sites is, by definition, living in the space. Sure, it's not a ton of living there, but it's certainly a step in the right direction: actively (as opposed to passively via PI) making use of the resources available in the solar system, and undocking to do so.
I'm conflicted on the fact that it has to be THE character who anchored the Merc Den that has to run it. IMO, if an alliance wanted to anchor Merc Dens, the sites for keeping anarchy down / infomorphs up should be available for all people in the alliance, with some sort of way to log which character actually ran the site so that alliance leadership could potentially reward them with a share of the infomorphs. That would have the potential to put even MORE people in space, as right now an alliance leader toon would probably be placing all the merc dens on the same toon and then having to run the sites 1 by 1 on that specific toon (instead of multiple alliance members being able to contribute to the Anarchy suppression sinultaneously)
What are your thoughts on this? I want to discuss this with you.
Last time i legitimately played was the end of 2019. Ive been gone a while. I stopped because the corp i was in had a lot of drama and got ripped apart (Bergmann Empire).
I got stuff spread out in a lot of systems. My character has almost 29mil sp. Ive thought about jumping back in on several occasions the past few years but never did it.
Now i see this new expansion and start reading on this sub and a lot of people are complaining about it. And I’m on the fence. Problem is if i do decided to come back i want to enjoy myself. I really enjoyed running with a corp back then. Minus the drama. The pve stuff was fun and learning how to pvp was fun.
At this point I’m not sure what i would remember. I feel like it would be almost like learning from square one again. I turned 40 a couple weeks ago and if i came back would want a corp that is similar in age to myself. But then feel i would just be a burden because I’ve been away for long.
Anyone got an opinion on the matter they would like to share?
Rip baiters lol
(screenshot from ibeast's stream where he was piloting Tholos)
(also blame reddit for not knowing how to work with small res pictures)
I woke up this morning to find I was hacked, some guy took all my ships and sold them, then transferred the money to his clone, luckily ccp managed to get most the money back, but how can I stop this from happening again. Is there two fact auth or anything like that?
And would it be better just ti create a new account with a fresh email?
