I love a good and authentic Caesar salad. My favorite besides homemade is McAlister delis. Any recommendations on a local place who makes a good one because we all know the dressing makes it! Or best salads in Evansville as well! I have been craving a good salad !
What was the name of the nightclub in the Days Inn on 41?
Had a recent small exterior fire with soot/smoke damage on our exterior concrete patio and brick siding. Looking for decent local and reputable businesses that deal in this line of work. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I am attempting to drive my vehicle that is parked here in town to my location (home lol).
My wife drove it earlier and was unable to drive it home due to reasons I can elaborate on for good reason but for the purposes of this post I won't out of respect for her/our privacy.
I'm currently unable to drive due to medication I'm taking--I'm sure if I had to then I guess I'd be OK but it isn't worth the risk, given the possibility that I couldn't live with myself if something unspeakable happened, not to mention I'd probably be in a great deal of trouble if the unspeakable involved another individual(s) so I'd rather not chance it.
I don't want to leave the vehicle parked anywhere overnight (but I'd sooner do that than drive impaired, even if it amounted to its being towed or something, which it probably wouldn't but it def would if I ran into something or someone, or if they ran into me, for that matter), and I don't want to bother anyone this late to do my bidding if they're not hired for this sort of thing as a career or something lol
I'm somewhat new to the area (another reason I don't want to bug anyone--it's a relatively small group of great people that I would even know to bug, ha!), so I don't know if this is an option, but are there services wherein I could hire someone to drive my vehicle to me?
It would be a one-way trip, as the keys are in the car in a location that I will of course share with whomever I would task with the job to drive it, which may be best left to old Father Time and friends, but I'd be happy and willing to get it home sooner if such a place/group/person exists!
Don't come at me, bc this is a common thing in bigger cities especially but it's often been advertised or used more to get home from bars, nightclubs, alcohol-serving establishments etc. than anything else, as far as I'm aware (or maybe it's less common than I thought/think and was just common in the areas where I've lived, idk), but that's not exactly the case here esp given I don't care if I'm in the car to get it to me, as long as it makes it and does so in one piece and all.
Thanks in advance for any input on this!
Hey y’all I was wondering if anyone knows of any places that offer assistance considering it’s the slow season where I live. I currently work 3 jobs (1 is biweekly pay serving in a hotel, 1 is weekly pay bartending, the other is at a diner that’s cash daily but I’m lucky to make 10-20 a shift here the past 2 weeks) and unfortunately am living in a hotel after moving 2 states away to get away from my ex who kept violating protection orders. I struggle to make the weekly rate let alone anymore than that. I just received a call from hospice that my grandfather will not make it through the week and I need to come say good bye. Does anyone know of any places that will help with gas cards for situations like this or even help with the hotel bill so I can go? Any information is greatly appreciated.
I normally go and get great sports/game gifts at awesome prices, but haven’t seen any word of it this year. Did I miss it, or maybe they’ve decided not to do it this year? Thanks!
I'm throwing in the towel guys. I have a giant antique swing door with a sag that I can't correct.
I have tried everything one could find on YouTube but this monster has got more going on then your average door. Even if this thing wasn't built to withstand a nuke I wouldn't know which knuckles to bend: Two sets of combination hinges with four rotating points on each hinge and a tension spring that would make a garage door blush.
I think it’s amazing.
Is it still hittin? I haven't been there in sooo long
My yard is full of small divots, but usually they just sink no more than an inch. It's not even something you really see unless the grass has just been mowed quite short...however, today, I discovered one of those divots is actually a sinkhole! It is about a foot wide and maybe three feet deep...I've contacted the water/sewer department to see if they'll come out and do a check to make sure this isn't related to their pipes. But if it isnt...does anyone have a lead on what to do next? Online says a geological survey, but that seems extreme? (Maybe not). Should I tear up my whole yard and completely start fresh? Companies to look for or avoid?
I'm on the east side, in a neighborhood built in the 30s or 40s, if that makes a difference.
I know it's not in Evansville, but it's close enough that this sub seemed like an okay place to post this.
We have never been to the light parade, but we're considering it this year. Is it difficult to get parking? Do they throw candy or anything? The stuff online about it doesn't mention anything other than theh have candy sponsors. But what candy?
I know it's a boring question, but I like to know what to expect.
Which target is my best option to get the eras tour book? Not sure what the discourse is around Taylor here. Will it be busy? Do people go Black Friday shopping still?
Does anyone know of any therapists that provide in-person hypnotherapy? (No judgements or opinions on the practice itself needed right now, thanks for understanding.) We've found just one, but they only work one day a week so it's very tough to make and keep appointments. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Has anyone visited family at Select Hospital? Visiting hours end at 8pm but do they allow overnight guests like St Vincent? I'll be traveling 5 hours & really can't afford a 3 night hotel stay this close to the holidays.
Is the Coconuts on N Green River closing?? The entire front of the store is covered in "everything must go" signs. I can't find anything online about it. I hope it's just a black Friday thing. Does anyone know what's going on?
Meijer used to sell it, but not since covid they said. Schnucks is charging $5.44/lb which seems a little high to me. Anyone know where else I could go?
I’ve seen a few of the free phone tents outside on a few corner streets but I can’t remember the location of any? Does anyone know the places and their hours? Thank you!!
Anyone know if Lamasco’s is still kicking? I pass by during the day and it seems like the place is going down hill, just curious is it for sale or anything?
Does anyone know what that weird wavy looking building that’s going up over near Costco is going to be?
Does anyone else struggle with the website? Anytime I try to log in to check my bill it’s just as dysfunctional as trying to call in and speak with someone in a timely manner.
Never wants to load, almost like they want it make it as difficult as possible for you to make a payment 🤪
There's a new place that just opened and another one opening soon. Plaza tire, I saw an add and they had some really good deals on oil change and bogo on tire deals. The one I think is open is the Newburgh location. From what I saw it looks really nice. I went for an oil change just to check them out, I'll for sure go back. Just spreading the word.
I recently moved to the area and am looking to meet people and stay active. Where’s the best place to play pickleball? I prefer larger groups
So back when I was a kid I remember going to a place to play video games but blank on the name. It was pay by the hour, they had consoles and computers. I wanna say it was somewhere on green river.
I’m thinking about going into nursing and was wondering who is the better employer? I know the pay and benefits are going to be similar.
