French entries has won eurovision 14 times: Switzerland- 2 times, France- 5 times, Luxembourg- 5 times, Monaco-1 time and Belgium- 1 time, Last french singing winner was Celine Dion representing Switzerland in 1988
I am tired of the fact that only one trophy is created each year despite the clear split in televoting and jury (this year, the split was terrible). I feel bad for Gjon's Tears, Sam Ryder, Kaarija, and Baby Lasagna that they did not get anything from the EBU. So how about multiple trophies to indicate a winner(s) in a particular vote? Crafting some trophies dedicated to someone/group winning the televote or jury should not be hard. Even if the budget is not there, the trophies could be donated by a fan. What do you think?
For me, I’m a new fan who has been watching casually with family for years but never really took it seriously until after this year’s contest. Something about the display of different identities, cultures and music genres really clicked with me despite this year’s obvious controversies and I realised how honestly amazing it is.
For months now I’ve been rewatching old contests and I can’t wait to watch 2025 with a new perspective on the show.
Hello everyone, Is there a rule that specify how much backing vocals could be used? Like 30% percent of the song or 50%. Because it feels like singers are relying too much on backing vocals lately. I've been watching vocals only performances yesterday and you can hear the backing vocals played on top of the artist's voice. It's like they've been overused, there should be some rule that specify how much they are actually allowed to use. Even nemo used a lot, kaleen also. I believe they have their place but not that much. What do you think?
It'd have to fit. You wouldn't see Switzerland send in "Still in Love with you"
Like I'm sure Norwegians would claim any song from the left side. But for example a French person would probably love "Poupée de cire, poupée de son". Sang in French, won, and a classic bop.
As an Englishman I wish we could of had "Rise like a Phoenix". We were loving our vocal showcases and experimental stuff. Sending a drag queen with a James Bond esque ballad would of fit us but oh well.
I like watching the eurovision odds through eurovisionworld and i was wondering if anyone knows when the odds for 2025 will come?
Hi, as a Scottish Born Dutch Fellow, i got way into Eurovision.. i dunno why it just happened,
Now for the Netherlands, the statistics to me, seem pretty easy, as only 2020 & 2021 (Jeangu Macroy) being Suriname, and Linda Wagemakers in 2000/2001 being Indo-Dutch (i believe) and the rest being Dutchy-Dutch.. so far so good,
But Scotland doesnt perform as Scotland, we perform as a collective called "The UK", and now i know in the 50s we had 1 Scottish guy, and in 1969 Lulu our lovely Scottish gall won the damn thing, but i just wandered if there was a site or a forum, Wikipedia page, or SOMEWHERE, where i could find how many of the UK entries were Scottish, or Welsch, or even Northern Ireland, and which entries were actually English.. does anyone know?
Before Australia made its Eurovision debut in 2015, they were huge fans of Eurovision way before the Internet existed. Australia’s recent entry One Milkali (One Blood) by Electric Fields showcased Australian Aboriginal culture. If Australia’s neighbor New Zealand makes its Eurovision debut, I hope it will introduce the Māori language.
I want to see Windows 95 Man here in America and was wondering what to expect for one of his shows. I only see that he has No Rules and want to know what other songs he performs. Are they covers? Are they original music? Is it 1,000 variations of No Rules? I’ve never seen a concert like this before.
Let me explain: Caparezza is one of best artists that we have in Italy, he’s working for a new album and some months ago he went viral in America with his song “Jodellavitanonhocapitouncazzo”. The possibility to see him in ESC as our representative would be a dream

Happy listening!
Just for fun! I was bored, so I compared how many times I've preferred the jury winner vs televote winner. It's not something I've thought about before and I was surprised at how many of the times I preferred the jury winner.
Note this is only winners, not whether you agreed more with the jury or televote overall or in other circumstances!
2024: Neither were my winner, but I prefer The Code over Rim Tim Tagi Dim. Jury
2023: I love Cha Cha Cha, and was never really a big fan of Tattoo. Televote
2022: I wholeheartedly agree with Ukraine winning, and Stefania is an amazing song, but as a song I do prefer Space Man. Jury
2021: This is the biggest difference for me. Zitti e Buoni is a good song and it made my playlist, but Tout l'univers is magical. It's amazing. It's beautiful. It's one of the best Eurovision songs of all time. Jury
2019: Neither Proud or Spirit in the Sky are favourites of mine - neither made my playlist (Arcade did, though). I'd have to say I prefer Spirit in the Sky. Televote
2018: Toy has grown on me, but there's something about Nobody But You that I've always loved, and I'm not even sure what that something is. Jury
2016: Both are great, but Sound of Silence just wins over You Are The Only One. Jury
2015: Don't underestimate Heroes, but Grande Amore is one of my all time favourites. Televote
2011: Ok, this might be an unpopular opinion... I don't really like Madness of Love. I don't love Running Scared either, but I do prefer it. Sorry! Televote
Skipped as the same song won jury and televote: 2017, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2010.
So, it's a jury win 5 to 4. Curious how other people's opinions are on this!
