Why the hell isn't there a .gov website to vote quit wasting tax dollars on mail-in or booths. We're a rich country filled with stupid and poor people being ran by stupid and rich people.
Simple. Make your selection for the poll. Submit dob and ss#
Can be audited, cannot be fraudulent. The only staff required would be phone support for hijacked vote in the event you're unable to vote. And tech support. If you live in America and don't have access to internet, there are libraries all around the country. I'd you're reading this on your phone you've really got no leverage to counter my point.
I got a phone call today from a man working at a Florida voting office in some county (don't remember the name). He asked me if I was voting in the upcoming election, with it being a federal year I assumed he was inquiring about that, so I confirmed I would be voting. He proceeded to ask me about candidates I had never heard of, after the second name didn't sound familiar, I interrupted him and asked him to clarify if he was asking about the federal election this year or if he was asking about an election specific to the state he was calling from. He repeated the name of the county and for the life of me I can't remember it. At that point I explained I was not registered to vote in that state and he basically got really quiet for a second before asking me if I was registered to vote in Florida, I explained to him I had never lived or visited Flordia and was an Arizona native, born and raised. I can't remember what he said after that as I didn't catch it and then he just promptly hung up.
I had wanted to ask him to remove my number from his call list but brushed it off and had a good laugh about it. Now that I've shared the story with a friend and my grandparents though, I'm beginning to wonder if someone may be using my information to vote in Florida.
What do I do about this? Do I need to report it as suspected voter fraud in my state? Do I report it in Florida? Both? Has this happened to anyone else? I never get phone calls like this during election year, even for Arizona so I'm beyond confused. I'm also fairly certain I put myself on the Do Not Call registry about 2 years ago, which I know only succeeds in reducing the number of calls received and not eliminating them completely. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!
