/r/easyfix
Here at /r/easyfix is to help others with their problems, solving them in an easy way. People will post a picture, or write their problem, and the comments will be of fixes to that problem.
Post problems and receive a bunch of ways to fix your problem
[FIX] To show you have a fix
[PROBLEM] To show you have a problem
A proper submission should look like this:
[Problem] Broken zipper
I. Posts must be from a reliable source or site (Look in header)
II. Be kind and respectful in comments. No judgements.
III. Titles must have either [FIX] or [PROBLEM] before it. Any posts without it will have 4 days before it is removed.
IV. Close posts after the problem has been fixed.
If your post has a comment from AutoModerator, this means that you have something wrong with your post. If it is not fixed within 4 days, it will be removed. Usually it is because the title doesn't have either [FIX] or [PROBLEM] before it.
Q: Can I post video's on how to fix stuff?
A: Yes.
Q: Can I post anything to do with fixing stuff?
A: Yep. This is for fixing problems of any kind.
I. Avoid posting from 'unreliable' sources or websites.
II. Close your post (using the fixed tag under your post) when the problem is fixed.
III. Please avoid reposing, and to avoid this, search before you post.

This black piece with the knob is supposed to come out of the grey bike main frame and be turned around. I can’t get it out. It doesn’t just pull up. Playing with the red knob does nothing. That hole is for where a different bar with a knob eventually goes to adjust seat height, but right now through that hole it is just this solid black piece. What am I missing? Thank you! This is the bike: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XMHI7LC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So, I own a 2011 OG 3DS. And last week at started turning on the 3d even thought the 3d slider was off. I tired turning it on and off and even tired disabling the 3d from parental controls but nothing worked. please help if you can.
Why is the such a fucking mess?!, if I right click a file and cast to my xbox itll work 50% of the time but always with issues, if I rewind the movie the cast just fails to play again, also subtitles do not work.
If I right click a file and select cast to my smart tv, that's works about 80% of the time but still with no subtitle option and more often the resolution is fucked.
Now if I use media player and select cast to tv, that works but again resolution is fucked, if I select cast to xbox is just constantly tries to connect to the xbox, and just wont then itll forever try disconnecting from the xbox.
Why is this function so fucked up and frustrating to fix?!.
I've been through all my settings, media sharing is fully own, the devices are on the available list for my pc. Only solution I couldn't try from google was trouble shooting hardware and devices simply because that option does not exist in my trouble shooting section!
Does anyone else have a massive headache of an issue trying to use the windows 10 cast to function
My old membrane keyboard is having issues with the backspace button, lately the backspace key is tempramental, for example sometimes it will delete normally, other times one press will delete several characters, i don't know how to fix this?. i've removed the key and cleaned as best i could under it, but still have the issue. is this keyboard on its way out? or is this fixable?
Hey every one !

For instance the first line types this :
grf
Do you think it is a configuration issue, or a hardware problem with the thing the cable connect to. How can I do a diagnostic at home ?
I tried $ showkey -k all key work with a strange number
I insist on the fact that everything else works correctly and with the original performance.
Thanks for your attention
I had a wall plug-in with oil sitting on my dresser and my cat knocked it into the drawer, leaking all over my stuff. There aren’t any stains, they just have a very very concentrated fragrance smell. I’ve washed them ~3 times, with and without detergent, hottest water possible, and they still smell. Any ideas?
Originally helix but I stripped it using a drill to unscrew it. stupid I know but I had no helix screw and I didn't know what to do with it. How can I salvage the situation and take it out? Other side has an unstripped version
Thanks
I have a 4TB external hard drive that I use to store screen recordings and steam games. For some reason, when I plug it into my computer it slows everything down and I am unable to access the files in the hard drive. It shows up in the "This PC" folder but does not tell me how much space is left on it. I have tried using multiple computers and as soon as you plug it into a computer it slows down immensely. The only two things I think could have caused it is: Unplugging it from my computer without doing the eject drive thing, or I downloaded a program and had the installer saved on that hard drive. It had some sort of sketchy files in it (https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/6e50527cfb375670703976d97e91b628d98c568111413914bd3de1ac0b3430df/detection). I think it is the file because it seemed to slow down right after I installed the program. Does anyone know how I can get the files off/ wipe the hard drive?

(No camera or phone right now, so bear with me.)
I have a cart, had it for a few years. It's not worse for wear, except the bottom bar for the frame, the front one that connects one side to the other and keeps the bags from grinding on the wheels and such. Tried duct tape, two different crazy glues, and a glue gun. Can't find a nut or screw that will fit yet, and I am a NOT buying or renting one of those metal capping guns just to get an end back on so it wont slip when it gets some weight in it.
Now, I could just throw some cardboard in there and be done with it. But, I'd like to A.) not have to keep putting cardboard down here when it starts grinding away, and B.) not have the poor thing eventually spit apart from, oh, say, bringing two cases of soda and a case of water home.
No, I don't drive. Yes, I hate cars. Thanks for asking.
I have a 31.5" x 9.5" piece of particle board that is about 3/4" thick from an old IKEA TV stand. I was hoping to recycle it by screwing on a set of hairpin legs to make a narrow coffee table. Will it be safe to use a bunch of 1/4" screws to mount the legs on? If not, what size screws should I use? I don't plan on putting anything heavier than a laptop on the table.
This is my first time assembling furniture, so any advice will be appreciated! Thanks!

My TV is probably too big for this cheap TV stand I like. But I like the way it looks and if I can strengthen it to ensure the safety of the TV, then that will also tickle my frugal bone. Photos below.
https://imgur.com/a/5DGcdsM You can see by the photos it tends to lean towards the front or back. I'm afraid it will lean too far over time and the legs will snap
Please help!
