so i wanna play a rally game i never watched the sport or anything but it seems fun the only thing im not sure about is which one because im on xbox (with controller) which i heard is actually verry playable on dirt rally 2.0 but i also have the option of dirt 5 and it was either wrc 9 or 10 dont know for sure but i claimed one of those with gold once so which one do u reccomend?

Just got my G923 yesterday and tried it out, it worked just fine later exited the game and unplugged it to move and adjust wires around replugged everything in and opened WRC and now FFB doesn't work at all in game when out of game it works perfectly reinstalled both game and g hub checked all wires can't fix it please help

why can't we have a rally game (hell or any racing game) where a cussing co-driver who shit talks you when you're not listening or keep making mistakes. A "Career" mode where you have rivals and shit. or you watch your character turn into a red mist on a freak accident when watching the "Terminal damage" replay. Majority of the guys and gals who plays games like this are adults anyway.

to put short, is there no way to have mature content in simcade/sim racing games ? I remember when this game came out I think during the ps2/360 era and got an idea - what if a simcade/sim rally game is violent ?

I am using Logitech G29 on PS5.
How can I tackle this situation?

I am a pretty beginner in SIM Racing. So it's getting pretty difficult to get used to this many rotations.

If you play the WRC game regularly then you probably would've wished for customized pacenotes at a point. You would've wished to have someone read it to you, tweak the notes to your liking etc.

My suggestion is that there could be a pacenotes mode where you do a reconnaissance run through a stage and you highlight specific zones where you record the notes with your voice (and choose the icons if you use the visual pacenotes too). The game could also have preset zones where you're prompted to record the notes within a given amount of time but that may go against what some people prefer but that would still be fun.

I'm no game development guru so I don't know how doable this is in terms of complexity, processing, memory etc but the fact that the game already has like 5-7 different pacenotes I'm optimistic that this would be doable.

It might be too late in the development stage of the next dlc but I hope the developers are working or willing to work on such an amazing feature in future releases.

Stating its the ea anti cheat service. I have tried repairing it, reinstalling it deleting and the re installing still not solves the problem.

I fully believe that Codemasters are listening to us, I know I see PJ around on this sub a lot, the discord too.

I wondered for the future of this game, and with the new and untested strategy of a yearly DLC to get next years cars, if we could have a megathread to suggest possible issues, reworks and ideas for these yearly DLC upgrades.

Once big issue to overcome with this method is, taking F1 games, each yearly release might have a new UI, new songs, new main menu, new voice acting and graphics. Things to keep the game fresh, so that for me is a concern, and a worry that I’m not stuck with the same soundtrack and main menu layout for the next 4 years.

I hope we can all add to a thread together, simple pointing out areas that we’d like to see changed, just to get a conversation going about it.

Personally, I would love to see a tire choice rework. WRCG did it perfectly and realistically accurate. And I say tire ‘choice’, not the wear physics. A percentage is a little unrealistic. I’m talking about choosing your tire compounds before the rally, gaining an extra set for shakedown, being able to re-use a used set halfway through the rally etc etc.

Let me hear your thoughts!

After moving house and putting my rig away in storage I've not played either game for 6 months plus. I've clocked 75 hours on WRC and probably 200 on DR 2.0 across PC & Xbox One. I've recently had a bit of time to fire up my pc, albeit with a gamepad, and a new 7900 GRE GFX card to play both games.

What has struck me is how much more I'm enjoying DR2 over WRC. The only things WRC has going for it are the longer stages and WRC license plus a handful of older cars. I prefer everything else on DR2 the sounds, the way it runs, the looks, even the shorter stages, the daily leaderboards.

WRC is still a good game with lots of content but I don't love it the way I do DR2 which even now I'd put on a list of my top games ever. Do you know what I mean, what am I missing with the newer release?

Ever since i bought the game a month ago i was never able to connect to my ea account even though i have linked steam to my ea account in the app. I keep getting error 110 and nothing fixes it

This game has so fun physics and so many iconic cars, but it seriously lacks career mode depth.

The MINIMUM would be to randomize each calendar year, please, do something about it, playing moments is fun but literally no challange in them, even if i crash out 4 times i get a gold medal each time.

Does handbrake and sequential work on Xbox while playing wrc? Trying to find an answer as the website tell me one thing while others are saying something else.

I bought the game from epicgames (EA WRC). I play it on PC. The EA desktop application is forced to load.

This problem started in the last month. I didn't install anything different on the computer.

I log in and play the game. But after finishing 5 or 6 stages, sometimes it doesn't do it at all, sometimes it gives this error and doesn't record my time.

I'm tired of it, damn it.

Watching the attrition at the Acropolis Rally this weekend, and the amount of work teams had to attempt between stages made me realize EA WRC is missing something pretty important by leaving this out. Being able to attempt to repair very limited issues, with no guarantee that it’s fixed, would add a touch of realism.. the same with limited set up adjustments between stages.

Hopefully it’s something they are considering adding in the future..

And setting aside a mixed tire set up, it would be super helpful if the game allowed us to swap out spare tires for worn tires in these road sections. Especially considering that in a lot of club events you have a 300km rally and two sets of super soft tires. 🤪
