I have used I&N on Crichton street but are there any others in town?
I am an owner-occupier in a tenement of 9 flats, 7 of which are rented by a few different landlords. Getting anything fixed is a ginormous pain as they almost never reply to my emails, and I don't really have any authority to get them to pay for communal repairs and maintenance. The shared courtyard area is more of an alley that is accessible from the street and is always full of litter, various crime often happens there and I getting really tired of it. I am thinking of getting a factoring company in to manage the shared space, perhaps get some security cameras installed, and hopefully clean it up and maintain it a bit. I have at least 2 landlords on board so far.
Does anybody have any advice on whether getting factoring services is a good idea? I know lots of people find factoring to be a rip off, but there is currently no maintenance happening to the building whatsoever and it's been like this for years, we have leaking guttering, tiles falling off the roof, our front door has been broken for ages and doesn't close properly, there's loads of broken glass in overgrown grass outside, etc. Paying for at least some maintenance has got to be better than this.
If so, which companies are the best (or least bad)? A couple have said they're not taking on new clients so some recommendations of where to go would be amazing.
Does anybody know if the monument on the Law is still lit up at night?
Looking for somewhere to get the wife’s bag fixed. Fell out while moving and lost the part on the right. Preferably in the ferry to get it fixed but can easily go in town.

I live sort of waterfront-adjacent, quite close to magdalen green. Was up at 3 am-ish on the 1st and heart this really weird sound, like a high whistle followed by a crashing noise in quite a rhythmic way. Thought it was the bin men at first before registering the time 😭 any ideas what it could be? Got a little freaked out at the time, now I just want to know.
Just walking past the taxi rank near spoons and there was a burger stand and going down Meadowside, the actual road was closed and they were putting away things. It looked like a stage had been set up and like there was beer too judging by the amount of Tennents. Seemed to be a D.C Thompson building thing. It also looked like they were clearing stuff up from the high school grounds, was it some sort of school event?
I don't know if this is the place i should be asking but I was wondering if there's a small animal vet in dundee I got 2 rats and would like to know just incase of a emergency

Hi, I'm looking for someone to provide guarantor details, is there anyone or any agency who can provide guarantor details service.
Hi everyone, I am an urban planning student who is researching the feasibility of introducing publicly accessible urban edible landscapes in Dundee for my dissertation. Part of the research is understanding what the Dundee public would think about this, so I would be so grateful if you could take the time to answer this survey:
https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/dundee/publicly-accessible-urban-edible-landscapes-in-dundee
There is a description in the survey, but essentially a publicly accessible urban edible landscape is an area of land in a city that contains edible plants which can be accessed, harvested, and used by any member of the public at any time.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for responding, I really appreciate it!!
Hello Dundee,
I'm a data journo and I recently analysed data on just how often in the last few years the Olympia has actually been open. So far this year there's been a full or partial closure for 33% of the year... which tbf to them is an improvement on the last two years. All the leisure pools are currently closed though so that number is going to creep up before the year is out.
I've compiled some charts here and these will continue to update each day to keep track of the situation:

My CD Players Lazer broke. Looking for a shop that would replace it.
Hi everyone, I'll be moving to Dundee soon and I'm looking for tips, tricks, and tales on all things Dundonian!
I'm in my thirties (into kayaking, bouldering, good food, museums) and I've only ever been to Dundee for a brief day-trip before, so I don't really know the town at all!
I'm really keen to hear where you like to go, what are the best places to eat, drink, have fun etc!
...maybe where to avoid, too!
Can't wait to start my new life in Dundee and looking forward to hearing anything you have to share about your city! Thanks!
What does everyone think of the Hilltown area? We're looking at a place in Hilltown (not in the Multis), but after reading the comments on the Lochee post I'm wondering if we should give it a miss. Also, how are the schools? We're interested because it looks like it would be easy to get to the centre, shops, etc., and the council seem to be working on trying to upgrade things like the Bell Street multi storey car park, put a college in the Wellgate, etc., all of which are nearby.
Hey, I moved to dundee not long ago, and i’m going to be starting a new care job in the next few weeks. My shifts will be 4 days on and 4 days off, so if anywhere needs volunteers for those in need during the christmas season id be glad to help out on my days off. This is a hard time of year for me and i can imagine it is so much harder for people who are homeless, elderly, alone, etc.
TIA!

Any one know of any pubs in Dundee that serve Tennent's light? Either draft, can or bottle, doesn't matter. Not looking to start a debate about whether people like it or not, just want to know if any pubs serve it. Thanks for any info :)
Hi just a student asking what can be done about this, I moved into a flat which upon recently I was let known the issues with one being electrical outages when it rains hard. This had been a previous issue for the last 3+ years and was reported on several occasions but apparently not dealt with well. This is a students flat and as such we have deadlines and assignments to hand in. I would like to have this issue swiftly fixed since I don't want my pc or any expensive electrical device to be badly damaged while in use. What is a way I can swiftly encourage this issue to be fixed permanently because from what I put together they may have not fix it at all.
