Wenn nein, wieso wurde das nicht als Wohnanlage umgebaut, gerade in D fehlen ja überall Wohnungen. Beste Grüße und danke für Infos.

Hey guys, so we've been fortunate enough to finally find an apartment after 6months of rigorous search. Now the only question remains is the area family friendly? The limited time I saw it felt like a very male dominated area and a bit skeptical that maybe it's not the safest to move around at night for instance if my wife or any friend is coming over at a late hour? I mean I know Düsseldorf is super safe overall but I mean more in terms like do women get cat-called or like when junkies come up super close to your face at times(like on the hbf or worringer Platz)? I understand this could happens on the streets anywhere but it's maybe not at a place of home you know? Another question would be do women feel safe wearing whatever they like to? In advance -Sorry I don't mean to offend anyone just thinking out loud, I would just like my wife and friends to feel comfortable. And since the idea is if we move then we are there for at least another 5 years also. Searching an apartment is a pain in this city.

I have a hesitant friend and I try to convince him to move to Ddorf. He tries to choose between mentioned and Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt. What do you think? Would you struggle as well to choose between those?

As a non white married couple who do not speak fluent German yet, we are finding it hard to find a noce apartment with a budget of 1,200 for warm rent in Düsseldorf. My husband has a decent stable income with a permanent contract at a decent German corporate, and we have a pro Immoscout account with all the details for income proof, positive Shcufa, ...etc. We are usually one of the first people to send our interest message, but we are getting no responses and viewing appointment.

I read somewhere that you can hire an agency to get through this barrier of convincing the landlord, is there such an option in Düsseldorf? And what do you recommend?

Warum sind in Düsseldorf immer wenn ich meine Altkleider zu einem Container der Awista bringen möchte diese maßlos überfüllt und ich kann nichts einwerfen? Wie oft werden die geleert oder werden die überhaupt geleert?

Kann man eigentlich irgendwo in Düsseldorf Sauerkraut kaufen, wenn man das Zeug aus der Supermarktdose nicht lecker genug findet, und zuhause selber machen zu viel Arbeit findet?

Hab gehört vor Jahrzehnten haben viele Metzger nebenbei Fasskraut gemacht und verkauft, aber wüsste jetzt keinen in Düsseldorf der das macht.

I’m traveling to Düsseldorf, Germany, for an onsite visit with my colleagues, and we'll be there from Sunday, March 9th (arriving at 3 PM CET) to Friday, March 14th (flying back at 7 PM). Sadly, we’re only there for 5 days. I’ll have free time after 5 PM each day until about midnight, so I’m hoping to make the most of it!

A couple of questions:

What are some must-see places in Düsseldorf that I can visit in the evening? I’m open to anything, whether it’s cool sights, historical spots, or interesting neighborhoods to explore.

Any nearby places worth visiting outside of Düsseldorf, but still within a reasonable distance for an evening visit?

Where can I buy mechanical watches (I’m a watch enthusiast) and maybe some chocolates or souvenirs to bring back home? Any local recommendations or shops you swear by?

Ich bin auf der suche nach einem Frisörsalon der Dauerwellen anbietet (was anscheinend inzwischen relativ selten geworden ist). Und geübt in modernen/alternativen Haarschnitten ist. Preislich ist mir das relativ egal. Hauptsache es werden qualitative Produkte angewendet, also bitte keine Empfehlungen für irgendwelche Seitenstraßen "Barber-Shops".

Looking for apartments and seemed to have found one there. The area still feels very far from the city, shows around 40 min by train/tram/buses. So wondering if the place itself is happening enough, what are the town center types, supermarkets etc, and the general vibe of the neighbourhood.

I am 32 years old, work in Finance, currently in Berlin, but want to relocate to Düsseldorf or Munich or somewhere else...

Berlin was fun, but these days its no longer for me (too crowded, too big, security goes down, people come and go - hard to build long-term connections). I would like a peaceful, beautiful city with access to nature, many activities to do and ability to make friends, and of course, good job market...

I am here alone, with only one friend in Berlin, and I want to settle down somewhere and want to build up new circles and maybe, a family...

I am hesitant to go to Munich because I was told people are not open-minded nor friendly.. Düsseldorf is beautiful, and I can travel to Netherlands on the weekend, but I fear its a bit small and I might get bored, etc.

This move is serious, because I also want to buy an apartment too.

für einen JGA suchen wir eine Karaoke Bar die sich vorrangig auf Ballermann Hits spezialisiert hat. Und falls es solch eine Bar nicht gibt, eine Karaoke Bar die es überhaupt anbietet. Unsere Recherche ist da leider nicht so eindeutig und die Bewertungen der diversen Bars lässt K-pop/J-pop und englischen Liedern erahnen, was an sich nicht das Problem darstellt aber die meisten sich dann wohl zurücknehmen werden.

Hallo, der Titel beschreibt es wahrscheinlich schon ausreichend gut. Wir sind am Wochenende auf einer Veranstaltung im PSD Dome, also in Düsseldorf Rath. Ich selbst bin erst kürzlich nach Ratingen gezogen und kenne die Umgebung noch nicht allzu gut. Wir wollten im Vorfeld noch was essen gehen und vielleicht auch noch ein zwei Bierchen trinken. Idealerweise wäre es in der Nähe des Veranstaltungsortes (wahrscheinlich eher schwierig, da Industriegebiet) oder zumindest gut mit der S-Bahn erreichbar. Was wir essen ist eigentlich egal .. Hausmannskost, burger, enchiladas. Eine lockere Atmosphäre und entspannte Atmosphäre ist bevorzugt. Hättet ihr ein paar Vorschläge? Überhaupt, wo kann man in Rath oder im Zentrum Düsseldorf auch mal auf ein Bierchen raus, ohne Schickimicki und Bling Bling? Würde mich auch grundsätzlich mal interessieren :D Danke euch im voraus!

Edit: Vielleicht sollte ich nochmal klar stellen, was ich mit "ohne Schickimicki" meine :D Grundsätzlich einfach was normales, wo man ein bier oder was anderes trinken kann, ohne direkt in Abenddress hin muss. Muss aber auch keine Pommesbude an der ecke sein. Eigentlich was ganz normales. Ich hatte es nur extra erwähnt, da Düsseldorf ja eher für seine Extravaganz bekannt ist :D

Edit 2: Danke schon mal für die vielen guten Tipps. Habt ihr vielleicht noch Empfehlungen für Läden wo man eher nen Bierchen oder so trinken kann? Eventuell für danach?

I'm passionate about football and ultras culture, so, landing on the 15th, I've seen there's a match between Fortuna and Regensburg, and I would like to attend the match. I can't still see the hour of the match, so I hope to land in time 😄 I have some questions about that. Firstly, how could I buy tickets as a foreigner? I would like to be in the home stands, that Is the sud tribune right? How Is the ultras\fan culture there? I mean, Is there some hot spots for the before\after match? Is there something I should know? I would like to Exchange some stickers or scarves of my team with some Fortuna supporters, have some beers, make some noise and have fun. And last, but not least, how Fortuna fans see Preussen Münster? Is there rivalry?
