What subgenre is m357 by rusko? I’m in love with the unique style and I cannot find any songs like it. Bonus points for recommendations too. Thanks!
Been waiting to catch a set for a while, definitely my favorite of the night!
My attention has been on other genres for the last 10 years+, but lately I have found myself going back to some dubstep favorites and being drawn to a more droning, hypnotic style, well exemplified in Bar9's remix of Trooper by Rob Sparx, which has a thick, unwavering bassline and a somewhat aggressive synth that isnt too squealy / whiney or high pitched and distracting, overall with a strong dub influence. To me, this track is something melt under a hot sun to:
Rob Sparx - Trooper (Bar9 remix)
A more modern, relatively unrelated take (but still exemplified by the relative lack of harsh and distracting brostep sounds) is Peekaboo - Here With Me:
Im not really looking for chillstep or the super melodic stuff, though Im not opposed. I think its the unwavering, droning basslines, big spacey atmospheric feel, non-brostep synths, and sparser drum arrangements vs complicated breaks and fills. I appreciate any suggestions!
I've been listening to Nimda a lot for over a year now ( maybe longer ), thinking that he's one of the very few artists that always try to make something new/different for every track he makes. I also fancy his heavy design which I find to have more of an impact compared to other heavy-style artist. Of course, this could also be artists such Chime, phonon, Convexity, Aweminus etc. They make some unique sound combinations compared to everything else I've heard, whether in the vast EDM scene or in any other genre. I've personally always liked the creativity artists put in their work, whilst making it sound like something you could listen to, or at least you could make out a sequence or rhythm. I would sometimes listen to more generic stuff, then switch to the spicy stuff. Are you guys fans of the tamer, pop-cultured music or like heavy/ unique stuff?
Tape B was phenomenal last night
Saw Phrva in Orlando last night and he threw tf down. An hour of straight heaters
And a cool video to go with it :D
I know Omar Varela is still active but what happened to the girl?
looking for alleycvt tickets for 11/30 in milwaukee at miramar!
Listen on soundcloud or youtube! Someone requested a tutorial on the lead bass, so that is up on my YouTube as well
Hi everyone, I'm trying to find an old dubstep song that was likely released between 2010 and 2016. It was instrumental and had a male vocal saying something like "bugajigajuba" (or some similar gibberish) right before the drop.
I remember it being used as the intro music for a friend's YouTube channel back in the day, and I think it might have been one of those no-copyright tracks that were popular at the time.
I know its not dubstep its only for real skrillex fans ❤️🔥
I was going through my vids from Blacklist festival last month and Crankdat and Hol! Both dropped this track that sounds similar. I just love that high pitched melody tbh. Would love to finally end this search. Thanks!
G'day and welcome to NMF#214!
Happy Friday! Very... compact this week, where did all the dubstep go?? Definitely still some hot tunes though, enjoy!

I noticed this when Subtronics was first coming up, and then Tape B right before Levity, they consistently release new music to keep their name on the top of everybody’s mind.
Hopefully I don’t get crucified for this part, but then there’s a lot of smaller dubstep and riddim artists who will post a 1.5 minute clip every few months and wonder why they never blow up.
