Any suggestions for a sheer light/medium pink gloss/oil that is not milky?

I have so many red and berry toned glosses an oils like this but I find that pinks always look milky on me 😢 I just want a sheer wash of color.

Lipliners for Super Pale Humans

Hi friends, I have a beast of a time finding nude lipliners that don’t go straight orange or pink on me, I prefer cool tones and I really want to find a cool lighter brown. Help! 🥲 Any recommendations?

Wetnwild dewy or matte?

Is the wetnwild foundation in the dewy version better than the matte does it remain wet? I have an oily t zone but the remainder of my face is rather dry I wouldn’t even say normal so I prefer a hydrating formula but something that won’t swim around too much in t zone. So wondering what would be better

Best drugstore concealer for 30s skin?

I've had a run of trying and being disappointed by higher end concealers lately (tried the Haus Labs concealer, liked it for the colour but didn't find it lasted that long; tried the Merit shade stick, loved the performance but it oxidized so fast; and most recently tried the Milk Future Fluid concealer, but found both the performance and colour match lacking (despite swatching it in store) so I'm seriously considering returning to drugstore concealers again.

I'm 35 with fair-light skin (NW20), and mostly use concealer to spot conceal red marks from my adult acne and undereye circles caused by my allergies. I'm looking for a conceal that's medium to full coverage and in particular has staying power - tired of my concealers slipping off after an hour.

I'm based in Canada so preferably only brands that are sold in Canadian stores or ship to Canada (so unfortunately no Target or Ulta-exclusive brands).

Some of the previous concealers I've tried with mixed results include:

  • Maybelline Fit Me (may try this one again, but I feel like the staying power wasn't great);
  • Maybelline Age Rewind (too sheer);
  • elf Camo Concealer (pulls too yellow on me, even the supposedly cool shades);
  • Revolution Conceal and Define concealer (pulled too yellow and didn't last long).

I need a new brow pencil

I just got into makeup about a year ago and I finally finished my first brow pencil. I thought instead of buying one right away, I would try to use eyeliner instead. That was a mistake… of the two colors of eyeliner I have that might work for my brows, neither one looks good….. like, at all. Remember I’m a makeup newbie in case anyone thinks I’m an idiot for trying this lol

So what is your favorite brow pencil? My previous one was Il Makiage in ash brown but I’m looking for a drugstore brand this time around. Thanks in advance!

Breakouts with Cover girl Skin Milk foundation?

I’m late to the game but I started using the cover girl skim milk foundation (shade fair) about 1 month ago. For the past month I’ve been having breakout after breakout which is really unusual for me. I’m not 100% sure if it’s the foundation causing this but nothing else in my routine has changed, and I’m out of ideas as to what could be causing this. The timeline is what’s making me think it could be the foundation.

Has anyone else had breakouts from this foundation? I’m going to stop using it and see if my skin clears up.

dupe for Too Faced Born This Way Foundation?

Hi guys!

I want to enjoy makeup but makeup I can easily afford. I overspent about 2ish years ago on a Too Faced foundation called Swan, it is fair skinned with neutral undertones. In the past before this I used TruMatch, but it covers up my freckles when I wear it - the Too Faced does not! But it kind of dries out my skin. Someone told me I should look for a light coverage BB Cream but I know nothing about them so looking for some tips from people who don't expect me to spend $45 on a bottle of makeup! :)

Got this from Dollar General

This is the second time I've bought a lifter gloss. Last time I got one was in 2023 and it lasted for a good time. I don't buy these that often because they are on the pricey side. This was $9.50 but I like the non sticky formula these have. This the shade petal.

Hydrating + blurring primer for combo skin w/texture

I need a blurring primer that is also not too drying for my combo skin! I have texture from old scars and large pores, plus that wonderful combo of occasional acne and emerging wrinkles in my 30s 😑

My go-to primer has been discontinued (No. 7 Airbrush Away Tinted Skin Perfector). I liked how blurring and smoothing it was, and not drying

I bought Maybelline Master Prime Blur + Pore Minimizer but it seems to be so drying and makes my texture look awful

Any primer suggestions?

Thank you 🙏

Falscara/Lash Extension Tips

Hi ladies! I want to know if anyone has tips on how to make their falscara or diy lash extensions last. If there is a way you go about the application process or do you use a certain product or is it the preparation process? I need all the tips and secrets!

I feel like my falscara lashes last one night and they're done by the next day. They just start popping off.

I apply the bond to my kashe base and the top of the lash cluster. I then press them up to my regular lashes and then apply sealer.

Silicone Based Vs. Water Based

Hello gorgeous people. Thanks for taking the time to read! I have combination skin and large pores, but don’t really struggle with acne on the face. I am looking for the best primer and concealer duo. I am a bartender so I needs to last long sweaty hours. I’m currently using Elf power Grip and Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer. I feel like they look really weird on my skin, and they don’t last through a shift In the past I have used a silicone primer like Porefessionals and liked it, but I remember it being on the pricer end. Any advice, pointers to dupes, and guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you so much 🫶🏼

Concealer recommendations

I currently use the maybelline fit me (worn in pic) in the shade 25 and my under eyes still look ashy. This shade also looks really white/bright yellow under the sun in contract to my normal skin shade. Any ideas on how to fix this and product recommendations?

Elf Flawless Finish Foundation Discontinued

Just to make it official. I'm sure people noticed the stock issue. I emailed them and they said "We apologize unfortunately this product is not available and has been discontinued. We understand that it is difficult when a favorite product will no longer be available, and we have noted your interest in this product for future development." So it can be considered officially gone.

Help me find a similar lip liner please!!

Hi Reddit fam,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have an olive undertone and randomly found this taupe lip liner at a Sally Hansen store.

Does anyone know the name of this brand/color ? Or know of a good dupe?? This is the only taupe color that doesn’t wash me out or make me look like I’m on deaths doorstep lol

The darker line on my hand is a swatch with 3 layers, the lighter line is just 1 layer.

The writing on the pencil says dist by: Arcadia beauty labs llc and the color is natural. A google search doesn’t help 😫

Fingers crossed! Appreciate yall :)

Concealer Advice?

I’m not sure if this is the best sub to ask this in but I really need help. Anyway, I’ve never used concealer before in my 30 years. I’ve always just used foundation and it has worked fine. However, I’ve aged.. as we all do.. and I’m trying to find a concealer for under eye discoloration. I’m a fairskinned redhead, I have pink undertones, and I only use silicone based products. My favorite foundation is Lancôme ultra wear, but I’ve been wearing L’oreal Infallible for a while because money is tight and it’s worked great. My questions are- -What brands do you recommend? -Should I use concealer before foundation or after? -Should I find a shade that matches my foundation, or is lighter than my foundation?

Also: I have tried using a color corrector under my foundation instead of concealer; but my skin is pale and the color corrector always seems too dark and harsh on my skin, because it looks darker than my foundation after blending. Do you have suggestions for that?

Thank you in advance. I love makeup but I don’t use a lot, and I’ve had the same routine for years so trying new things is scary for me!
