I'm really curious to learn (either by reading or experimentation) how high could a quadcopter drone fly?
At some point the air density gets too low and the propellers can't generate enough thrust for it to keep climbing, I'm just wondering how high this is, 10k ft? 20k ft?
Has anyone tried? I also imagine there might be some legal complications with flying that high depending on where you are. I tried googling this but couldn't find any conclusive answers.
I can spin the props without much force. It will also suddenly start blinking the LED even if the battery is still above 3.7v.
Does anyone know which simulators are currently supporting the new controller & goggles?
Theres been a while since the 2019/947 took effect. Has there been any substantial new resource for learning and understanding the framework? Specifically the SORA, specific category. The easy access is all fine and good, but id thought that there would be more readable material by now.
I bought some balsa wood bars for my project, they are indeed as light as advertised, but I found that they're extremely flexible, and somewhat fragile.
What can I do to strengthen them without changing the original dimensions? I originally thought that using thin super glue on it might work, but would it actually harden while retaining the torsional strength and not be as brittle as hardened super glue?
A short compilation of videos I took at Cotton Fest 2024. This features great performances by Elaine & Emtee. A definite test wether the DJI AVATA can still keep up in 2024. https://youtu.be/fc9mKaODJdA
I have a question. We’re starting construction of a new company building at my office and we were looking into drones to do surveillance and inspection cause we’ve had issues in the past on our construction sites. Does anyone know of any drones that have a really long battery life and can be accessed remotely over the internet while also having a decent camera? Gas or battery powered.
Are there any drone flyers in the uk
I'm in the market for a beginner drone. Something under$3 - 350K. There are a lot of scams out there I am sure. Does anyone know anything about this Black Falcon drone that's advertised for a $99? Any recommendations for me. I'm retired, looking for a new hobby.
Should I just register my done under part 107 since I might do work with it one day and it says I can’t switch it once I register it?
That obviously means I have to get my drone pilot license, right?
I purchased two Hummingbird v3 ELRS and both Tiny Whoops have been in constant use over the past 2 1/2 months. I recently replaced two KV motors on one of the Hummingbirds, but the new motors failed to activate, both on beta and RC. Additionally, the ESC on the other Hummingbird has fried. I have 16 1s NBD Nitrogold lipos waiting to be utilized. Are there any Tiny Whoops, aside from NBD's, compatible with Nitrogold lipos?
I am looking for a drone for travel photography/video. The catch? I usually travel with my family and I hate making people sit around for several minutes while I get the drone set up.
I currently have the original Mavic Air and I never use it because it's too much of a pain to get from backpack to the air. Unpack, attach different parts, get phone wedged in controller, make sure you have the exact special cable needed to plug the phone in, etc.
I want one where I can just pull out the drone, pull out a dedicated controller, and get it up in the air.
Photo/video quality must be decent, and of course smaller and quieter are always good but #1 priority is the ease of getting it unpacked and in the air.
What's my best option?
What app can i download to request approval to fly in controlled airspace? And normally how long do they take to approve it
So as the title says I want to build a swordfish but with a few upgrades and also wondering one could install multiple batteries in on of these
Can anyone please explain these
Mi first drone ever, I’m a marathoner runner so this goin to be good for my necessities.
I want to start my drone and I have bought APM controller but no rc receiver such as flysky. Can I still run my drone directly from mission planner. If yes then how.
thanks
I passed the Part 107 in 2017. I let it expire as I had other interests at the time. I am curious about going back and taking it again. How different is it than 7 years ago? I haven’t really dug into anything g yet and just curious if my previous knowledge will help in studying?
