i was hoping to read more drarry fics from different sites. i love ao3 and there's nothing wrong with the fics there but i feel like that's the only place i've been reading and that has to change!! i'm a bit dramatic and i feel like i'm missing out on a lot of epic drarry fics that's not on ao3, so... if u guys know any amazing drarry fics on either site i would love to read them!

i don't really have a preference, just maybe mid or long fics with no cheating and proper use of grammar?

harry cheats on draco. they dotn end up together and draco lives a happy life and harry sees that and thinks of what could of been.

I don't really remember much about it... Greyback had a thing for draco and tried to attack him at some point.

At one point ha l draco goes to privet drive ( either escaping or saving Harry...idk) and greyback follows him there. And attacks him and Harry. Draco ends up killing greyback.

I know this isn't much to go on but if you know which fic it is pls lmk. It was completed and in ao3 for sure tho.

I am a huge Drarry fan and also a college student majoring in queer studies. For my undergraduate thesis, I am writing about how Harry Potter fanfiction readers and writers use queer fanfiction as way to explore their identities, diversify the canon, and generally promote "queer sustenance" as according to Eve Sedgwick's theory of reparative reading.

I have read a decent number of Drarry fics, but most of them are more recent, and I have not read that many of the "classics" on AO3. My hope is that some Drarry fans on this thread may be able to offer some foundational fic reccomendations from earlier in the fandom history, particularly those that may have been on fanfiction.net before the growth of AO3. The only reccomendation I've found so far along these lines is Underwater Light, so anything similar to that would be amazing! I am also searching for any Drarry fics that really exemplify how fanfiction can be a form of queer exploration and healing; this can mean many things, for example dealing with issues of homophobia, portraying trans* versions of main characters, etc. Finally, I'd love to hear any Drarry fics that you think any fan should read, as I am excited to have an excuse to read more fic for "research" :)

So I just watched a TikTok, where it said that wearing red lipstick during World War II was actually an act against fascism because Mustache Man hated the color. Well I had a thought that maybe Draco, because he was tapped in this impossible situation had a small act of rebellion while under the roof of Voldemort by wearing red lipstick. Obviously all of the Death Eaters don’t understand the meaning behind it because it was a muggle war thing. Maybe he picks this idea up from Harry and his gang or he discovers it in a muggle history book(I personally like this angle best) , but either way he starts wearing it and it becomes a whole thing during 6th year. Hermione immediately knows what he’s doing and informs Harry.

Maybe I'm just dramatic, but I'm entertained by the idea of the Malfoy-Potter family functionally becoming the British Wizarding Royal family. Like, of course, they're not actually the royal family, but functionally, they eventually become a stand-in after a given number of years. The media treatment, inherited positions, distinguishing traits, magical signatures, political standing.

All of the children end up shameless nepo-babies, but it's somewhat deserved being that their father, grandfather, ancestor, saved the entirety of Wizarding Europe.

This came to mind because for the 1000th time I'm thinking about how underdeveloped any depictions of 'wizarding culture' was in the canon books. The pureblood ideology obviously is rooted in blood purity extremism, but they make an entire point of defending a culture to the death that we the readers never get to see. I didn't realize how much this could bother me until I read 'Pureblood Culture' worldbuilding fanfiction! Where is the Potter Family estate?! Where are their heirlooms?? If the Wizemgamot is run by a House of Lords system, how come we never see Harry have to engage in politics?

I believe it takes place at Burgin and Burkes, but it could have been any dark artifacts shop. Draco is glamoured to investigate someone trying to smuggle artifacts through his shop. Harry polyjuices into an employee of Draco’s and investigates him.

It's well writing and the story line is top notch.

Whenever I read fics, I especially love it when Harry holds Draco's waist when they kiss. Every fucking time it melts my soul. There's just something about waist-holding that gives so much passion. I don't know if it's just me but I always notice that subtle action.

Ok so I haven't read mirror of ecidyre yet it's in my collection and I'm just holding it of bc I was told it was mindblowing. BUT the one I'm reading right now is so good and funny asf like I mean Draco is crack ass funny I'm snorting and cackling at ungodly hours.

Summary

• draco loses all his memory's in 3rd year after buckbeaks attack. Only remembering that he is Draco malfoy that's it.

The story progresses from there and currently I'm on the second book. But damn it's good like I wouldn't say there's angst so far, but harrys jealousy is soo fun to read even without his pov bc the whole book is in Draco's pov.

my only picky thing of personal preference would be the fact he has long hair in book 2 and its in a bun and I personally just don't like long hair Draco but the story is too good to pick on shi like that.

! guys trust me the relationship with Justin is sooo worth it to go through bc reading abt Draco's interpretations of Harry's reactions (since the book is in Draco's pov) is the exact slowburn effect youd need like I know I hate it when they just suddenly start loving each other. Also it's not exactly angsty it's actually rather hilarious watching Draco be confused why Harry is glaring at all the boys Draco interacts with.

Like Harry and Hermione’s scene in Deathly Hallows, it doesn’t have to be Horcrux hunt specific but I would like for it to be set during the war. Don’t care how long, short, prefer it to be completed but doesn’t have to be, if explicit, preferably bottom Draco or switching.
