i need opinions and advice

im a 14 yr old gay guy, and i have recently fallen in love w drag. its all i think abt. while not necessarily a career i would do, i love the idea of fashion design and drag speaks to everything i want to get out in that aspect. the thing is though, im not. a very good artist so i need u guys opinions on my first ever design. it was for what i would do if i had unlimited resources and was competing on the last runway of rpdr, tickled pink. ill attach an image lol

the skirt and two piece trains are made from a translucent plasticky material, with a bow at the back that can be pulled to quickly reveal whats underneath to aid in case of a lipsync. (the underneath is just a pink bodysuit cutoff with some rhinestones, slightly visible through the translucent skirt). it has a pink fabric rim which matches the top, with slits in the sleeves and an open back. the hair is in long pigtails with a bow in the middle which carries over to the chest of the dress. there is also a bow on a stick, which is more for actual performances not drag race. the shoes are awful so dont even mention those lol. there would also be two ribbons attached to the bodysuit bottom so they would not come off with the train. finally, there is a rhinestone encrusted corset and i imagine the makeup would be mainly pink with rhinestoned eyebrows and a little button nose moment. (i cant draw faces lol)

all i rlly want is thoughts and advice as i would like to go into fashion design and i really idolise drag queens and i would just love to hear tweaks that you guys would make to make it more practical and stunning.

thank u for reading this all lol!!

How do you pack/travel with your makeup

Hi (Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place)

I'm going on an airplane for the first time and I'm not sure how to pack my makeup. I'm nervous about eyeshadow getting smashed and foundation breaking open. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks:)

Illusions Drag Show

Went to the Indianapolis Illusions drag dinner show last night and it felt like a total scam. The venue was entirely unprepared. The door were supposed to close and the show was supposed to start at 7, but it nearly 8 when the first performer went, it was supposed to end at 8! They almost didn’t even remember to bring out the champagne I paid for in advance before the show. The drag queens were independent of the organization, they were lovely and I felt so incredibly sorry for them. There was no working dj set and no music for them. They had to try and find/ play their music over touch tunes… one of the queens walked out on her second performance because they couldn’t find her song. The queen mc’ing was even saying it was a mess. Feels like a total scam, for viewers and the drag queens.

Stoning question

Hello! I don’t know if this is the right subreddit to ask questions but I wanted to add rhinestones to a dress and I don’t know how to go about it. I figured drag queens would know about these things.

So my questions are How do I add rhinestones? What glue? How do I wash it without ruining the stoning? Shoud I dry clean it?

Thank you!

I made this look to celebrate Lunar New Year 🧧🐍 (IG: @bokchoiqueen)

I'm Bok Choi, an Australian-Malaysian drag queen based in Amsterdam. I picked up sewing almost a year ago and I decided to challenge myself with this look. It was my first time making a corset and working with non-stretch fabric... and I'm very happy with how it turned out! Any feedback is welcome :)

Drag Block: skill level not meeting imagination

Hi all! I have been doing drag for five to six months! I’m still pretty new to it but I feel like I have a lot of ideas but am unable to turn them from imagination to reality. I’m wondering if anyone has advice on how they overcome feeling unable to create the vision they have in their mind or advice on how to tackle this!

Currently I am enrolled to do a mini skills course with some local queens! Hoping this may help bridge the gap a bit but any advice is appreciated!

18 yr old, gonna graduate high school, and need a job in college

Hello! I'm an 18 yr old pansexual girl and am currently being driven to the college that I will be attending after I graduate this summer. My mom and I were talking about me earning money in college. I made jokes about me selling feet pics and stuff, but I genuinely need to think of a way to earn money.

I have performed in 2 drag shows as a drag king! My high school has drag shows, sponsored by the LGBTQ club. So in 9th and 10th grade, I was a drag king. 10th grade, I had the budget for lace front chest hair! I dressed up as an 80s Jazzcercise man and my cheorgraphy was based on the excercise moves from those 80s videos. The song was an 80s cover of "Bubblegum Bitch" by MARINA.

Idk how to go about this, or how to join a drag company or whatever. I'm still super inexperienced here. Any advice? Much appreciated!
