First time making donuts: old fashioned cake with vanilla bean glaze
Followed Brian Lagerstromās cake donut recipe
They turned out ok. I wonder if I fried them too long. I was trying to get them darker and fried them for maybe 4-5 minutes. Theyāre quite crispy and the interior isnāt as crumbly/cakey as Iād hoped. Maybe my oil was too low.
Gonna do some yeasted or brioche next. Probably have a more consistent result
