Hi everyone🥰 I am interested in making a side hustle with my digital art. It would be really cool if I could make it a career but I don’t think that step will come anytime soon. I’m looking on advice or tips from those of you who have already taken the step to sell your artwork. I have to do some more research but my main questions relate to determining pricing, platforms you sell on, and anything else that goes along with an art related business. Im going to be selling portraits of people or images of pets. Any advice is much appreciated🙌🏻 you are all so talented in this sub!
Should I get a Gaomon PD156Pro 15.6”, 15.4” XPPen Artist 16 2nd, or HUION KAMVAS Pro 16 15.6”?
Hello, so I have been looking into getting a pen display tablet for a while now. Right now I draw on a graphics tablet with no screen. While I love it I get frustrated at the many times needing to ctrz something because my line isn't how I want it. So would you say switching to a pen display is worth it? I know there are pros and cons to both types. But overall is it better to draw on a pen display?
I'm looking at the Huion Kamvas pro 16.
Edit: title should read “amateur”… I am looking for a super affordable drawing tablet with a display (so I can see what I’m doing) that is super easy to use. I enjoyed drawing on my iPad with a knock off ipencil in procreate but i am embarrassed to say it was a little complicated for my “super amateur, don’t have a ton of time to invest in learning the program” ass. But it was nice to have a level of flexibility on what I’m drawing and manipulating. I have been looking through suggestions but find most of them are totally out of the realm of what I understand and care about. I have even been looking at super note as an option but that may be tooooo far in the other direction. Any ideas on where to start would be amazing and I appreciate your time!!
What I care about: pencil shape, color, layers, undo/redo, save to cloud/computer, ability to do shapes, opacity, upload picture, basically paint on light steroids.
What is too advanced for me 😬: drawing a circle and then having it auto fix it, the weird advanced blurr, fill but only in one spot based on some of the shapes you drew. I don’t even know how to describe these things because I understand them so poorly 😭
Is there a way to resize sketches on my canvas without them losing quality once i enlarge them again? Does anyone know?
I'm doing character design and I keep running into this issue when doing different iterations.
Hi everyone, my 11 year old (12 in December) has been doing digital art on her phone and honestly is just getting too good so it's starting to limit her. We'd like to get her a drawing tablet for Christmas/her bday (dec 27th) but I'm a little overwhelmed with choices.
She's incredibly responsible so, I'm not terribly concerned about price.
Ideally, something that comes with programs that don't require a subscription but, I'm not sure how realistic that is.
A must - one that doesn't have to connect to the computer and has it's own built in screen.
She's mentioned she would prefer a glass screen instead of paper feel.
She typically does manga/anime/kawaii style art but does branch out occasionally.
I want something that will help her grow her skills. So, being able to add layers/textures/etc (I'm not an artist so, hopefully you understand what I mean lol)
Any feedback would be great. I've been drowning in options online and have read what feels like 5,000,000 reviews.
I'm new and I don't know how I can upload things here. Help!
My best friend is a digital artist and has planned to buy himself a tablet (I don’t know what it’s called but artists can draw on it like those Apple Ipads).
However, he’s struggling financially, and being that I make enough for myself, I want to surprise him by buying this tablet.
Thing is, I don’t know what to get him and he doesn’t know which tablet either. I don’t struggle financially but I also want to be mindful of how much I spend for this tablet.
Any recos on what good brands/models there are for this kind of tablet? Any suggestions would be helpful.
Also, I’m from the Philippines so if you have recos from here, that’d be great. Thanks!
As mentioned in the title and also I live in India if that is required for anything
Hi, Im a casual artist who is looking for an art tablet. I dont want to overspend and with the upcoming Black Friday sale, Im hoping if anyone have any recommended tablets. A little bit about me, while I do digital art, I do it in a unique way of drawing on paper, scan it and send to my PC. While is a fine way to do art, I still struggle using the curving tool with a mouse that gave the janky edge. As such I deciding on buying an actual art tablet. I have another art tablet which is paper trace by it has alot of problems, ranging from constant paper shifting to the software lacking any way for me to paint.
I have search the web, and I hope for recommendation from XP Pen. I do not want it to be a massive screen size. So I prefer a tablet that is about 14 inch or below. Can be 15 inch if the option is better but no more larger as I do not have the space . I like a tablet that allows me not only to do art on the tablet, but also allow me to transfer like scan images so I can trace art I did on paper to the tablet and clean it better.
I appreciate any help offered. Do limit the price to at least 1k SGD
I am gifting two young, budding artists each a tablet for Christmas. But I have a budget. This would be for digital drawing and maybe some painting. They do not currently have a tablet for this purpose and are just starting High School. I am wondering if the Ipad 9th Generation with 64 MB and the first generation Apple Pencil is sufficient, or if I need to go with the 256 MB. Or is the 10th generation and Apple Pro or USB-C Pencil necessary? The higher the price point, the less likely I am to be able to afford it.
The Scream
I did this today as a test. Trying out my newly acquired second hand iPad and Apple Pencil - It took me about two hours
Hi folks! Black Friday sale is coming, and I've been looking forward to my first ever pen display tablet to replace my 10 year-old Wacom CTL. I have my eyes on either XP Pen Artist Pro 16 (gen 2) or Huion Kamvas Pro 16 (2.5k), both have the similar price range and specs. Which one do you reccomend more? And if you happen to have one of them, what's your experience using it and will you reccomend it? Looking forward to your replies!
Also, I'm in the US and the sale is happening right now. Should I just grab them asap or wait for Cyber Monday?
Im broke and I don't like krita at all
