Misfuel Help ?

So after driving petrol cars for a long time, I decided to buy a diesel car and put the wrong fuel in second week. Mechanics have drained out the petrol from the engine. I am not sure if it's worth driving that car and I am worried there might be expensive repair waiting for me. Car is fine for the time being.

I would like to know what kind of issues should I be expecting if I were to own this car. Thank you in advance.

1985 Volvo 740 GLE Wagon D24T

o I just bought a 1985 Volvo 740 GLE Wagon with the 2.4 I6 turbo diesel from auction as my new intended daily. (Will Post a couple pictures when I get home) the car drives great and only has 144k on the clock. Starts up perfect every time and the glove box was full of maintenance receipts from volvo dealer dating all the way back to 1987!! Now my question is there anyway to get more gearing out of the car? From everything I've been reading this car comes stock with a 3.91 rear end and a 4speed auto with overdrive. People claim it has a dana 30 rear end (dana 30 1031?). I've also seen it called a G80 differential rear end. Now I assume the easiest way to go about this would be to swap the ring and pinion for something lower like a 3.54 or 3.31 for ideal highway driving. I know it will be slower but the car is literally only driven on the highway. (95 miles one way). If you want to go 70-75 your pushing over 3000 rpms. I've been cruising 60-65 at about 2400-2600 and she seems to do alright. I just know if I could get her to cruise at 2000 ish rpms at 75 then this would be the best daily I've ever owned. If anyone has any ideas as to re-gearing this thing any input is helpful. I've already tried looking into the auxilary overdrive systems but can really find one even close for the volvo... I can only find ones for allison, 47re, etc.

Additives and cleaners: why are some used at every tank, and some every 3000/5000 miles?

Volkswagen/Audi Clean Diesel come back to US

I know that Volkswagen isn’t allowed to make new Clean Diesel models to sell in the USA due to an emissions scandal in 2015 but is there any chance for them to come back? I mean I like Diesel Passenger cars because they’re fuel efficient and I think it would be great if Volkswagen came back with Clean Diesel using a different name like instead of TDI use something else. I mean it would be nice if they came back and were more truthful and used an SCR system and the “Nitrous Oxide Trap” they spent tons of money on developing.

Is #2 diesel the same as ULSD?

And can it be used in a 2013 Mercedes Sprinter?

Best diesel cars?

Just wondering what everyone's opinion is on the best diesel cars. I drive 30 to 50 thousand miles a year. Also am I better off buying new or used? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
