Two QBs that to start of the season you wouldn't have been excited to watch, but Darnold has looked great with the Vikings and Flacco has kept the Colts going with Richardson on the sideline

#Week 8 Recap

The good: It’s so nice when not one, but two of your stacks hit. Both Hurts and Cousins were terrific last week. Hurts-Smith stacks were profitable. Njoku was a nice TE play too

The bad: Love got hurt unfortunately and none of the RB plays did very well, not a good week for the one offs on my end, but the low owned stacks with the right chalk and it was a good week.

#Week 9

As always, it’s not recommended to plug all of these pieces into every lineup. These are pivots off of chalkier pieces.

#QB/stacks

1. Geno Smith - Geno is a pretty high variance QB. But that keeps his price low and ownership low. The Rams look like some chalk, but I’d rather play Geno, mostly in singles. I would call my shot with JSN or Lockett. Both having big enough games to roll out Geno doubles feels risky.

It’s all cheap enough to play the Rams big boys as one offs too.

2. Kirk Cousins - Kirk was my pivot off of Burrow with the Higgins injury and my God did it work wonders. Once again, Falcons stacks are flying under the radar despite being in the highest total game of the day.

Cousins is great for doubles because he has zero rushing upside and his weapons aren’t expensive.

3. Dak Prescott - I’m just going to play the other side too. Might as well. Dallas and Atlanta could be shootout city. I also don’t think it’s possible that Dak has an optimal game without Lamb, so if you play Dak, I would also play Lamb.

With the affordability of the Falcons, bring backs aren’t too tough either.

#RB

**1. Kenneth Walker ** - Walker is a terrific runner, but he is also getting some work in the passing game. There are times when he is the entirety of this Seattle offense and if others don’t want to play him, then I sure will.

2. Tyrone Tracy - Tracy is quickly becoming one of the more explosive runners in the NFL. He amazingly cleared concussion protocol after being knocked out of MNF last week. He has more or less taken over the Giants backfield

The ownership is low on Tracy for the game that I think he can have. He is also pretty cheap and easy to fit in.

3. Saquon Barkley - I include Saquon in these write ups almost every week because his ownership is always low. And the Eagles now get a matchup against one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

Barkley is expensive but he is as capable as any one of destroying a slate. Plus against THIS Jacksonville defense, sign me up for some Saquon shares.

#WR

1. Jakobi Meyers - Meyers has a nice matchup here against the Bengals. Other than Bowers, there just isn’t another consistent weapon in this Vegas offense. And Meyers is cheap enough that he is easy to get to.

Meyers can do well without the Raiders necessarily having a great game as a team.

2. Courtland Sutton - How do you beat the Baltimore Ravens? You throw the ball down the field. Sutton is the Broncos best downfield threat by far.

Bo Nix has shown the willingness to throw it deep in recent weeks and I’m fine taking some shots on his big WR1

3. AJ Brown - Brown is a great play this week, but tough to fit in with that salary. However, he like Saquon, is going to benefit from a downright bad Jacksonville defense.

Brown is another player that has some wicked variance but that’s an advantage in GPP contests.

1. Sam LaPorta - Yes, I know this is crazy. But with Jameson Williams out of the lineup, this might be the one time all year when Sam LaPorta is a DFS play. Ownership is low and so is the salary.

I’ll take a TE anytime that can pop off for a huge game and LaPorta is certainly that.

2. Taysom Hill - What’s more fun than playing Taysom Hill in DFS? Especially when he’s against the Panthers who make everyone look like a world beater.

He’s cheap, low-owned and has a pretty high ceiling if the Saints can score a bunch of points against a bad Panthers team.

Edit: Huerter out - keon should start and is one of the better values on the slate. only issue is not good ppm and will be giga chalk. Also helps monk who looks very good now.

I made a cash deposit for Yahoo's Daily Fantasy and they had a $10 site credit promotion for your first deposit. They are refusing to honor that promo and give me the credit. Has anyone else had problems like this with yahoo before?

Just a post to vent. NBA fantasy is the only sport where every player can be on fire and you still not make the money. Pisses me off so much. Like, I can get away not max entering football, but it seems it’s a prerequisite for the nba. Grrrr

Heard a lot about PER . Other metrics on box score seem to have some disadvantages. Due to time constraint can't watch all the game and not experienced enough in nba to make judgements viewing tape.

Analysis: I was pretty confident that Beal was going to play and when he was marked out that kind of ruined a lot of things. It opened up a lot of PHX that I didn’t have the roster spots to pivot to and the winners ended up with PHX. Decent night, but Clarkson really held it back.

PG: Jose Alvarado ($4,600)

With CJ and Dejounte both OUT, Alvarado slotted right into the starting lineup and didn’t miss a beat. 35 minutes and 36 DK points is a great output and that was in a low scoring affair against GS that didn’t even break 190 points. Now he gets to face the Pacers who run at a fast pace that also might be missing some bodies. The price tag is cheap and he is almost guarenteed a big role. I don’t know how you get away from him in this spot.

SG: Austin Reaves ($6,100)

While he did disappoint last game, it was against Cleveland and the Lakers got blown out. Now he gets to face Toronto who is missing a ton of options, running at a top 10 pace and statistically has the worst defensive efficiency in the league so far. Having JJ Redick as a coach has unlocked something for Reaves who was playing great up until that blowout, but everyone played poorly not just Reaves. This matchup will be much easier for him so I think he gets right back his 35+ DK point ways and at this price tag you really can’t pass that up.

SF: Zaccharie Risacher ($4,500)

Another situation where a guy is just too cheap for how they are playing and on top of that there are a ton of injuries that are securing his minutes. The 1st overall pick has gotten the start in each of the last 3 games with all of Daniels, Bogdan and Hunter out. All of those guys are once again out so we should see the same or a similar rotation as last game. ZR played 35 minutes and scored 33 DK points on 16 shots AND he was in foul trouble. I actually think he can improve on that, so at this price tag he will be gold. DFS Hero is projecting him for big ownership which could be worrisome, but the reality is in NBA DFS you have to eat some chalk. They are projecting well for a reason. He is just way too cheap.

I am going to be completely honest, there is a strong chance he completely busts. However, with Paolo out for the foreseeable future and the DFS Hero data (and others) projecting him to be the best value on the entire slate by a mile, I have to have some interest. His ownership will likely be ridiculous which is the main reason behind being terrified to play him. He is close to a 1.1 FPPM guy which is great for someone at this price, but oddly enough each of his last 3 starts have been against the same team he plays tonight and it is Cleveland. He definitely has a massive ceiling and could play huge minutes here with the Paolo injury, but please be careful. He just has to be my favorite given the fact he projects for close to 7x value and 2nd highest for PF is in the mid 5x range. Be fluid with Isaac tonight, because this could change.

C: Luke Kornet ($3,400)

No Kristaps or Horford means he essentially has to play 24+ minutes (if not 30+ minutes) and against Charlotte he will be able to eat. The price is just way too cheap to pass up. You have to take the chalk here. Don’t overthink this one. To wrap this up, as you can see there is a mountain of value tonight, so the macro approach should be stars and scrubs. You can build a very strong lineup with that construction tonight.
