Does anyone know how meta burgers flatiron sauce was made? Really miss those fries
It's hard to maintain a list of where not to eat https://www.reddit.com/r/denverfood/s/kJ65HqF0iu. So I'm looking to make as list of good to go places. What do you got?
My partner showed some signs of severe food poisoning last night after having the big island rice bowl with the poke tuna. Just curious if anyone else had similar effects or if this could be something else like a stomach flu.
Thanks!
Hi all and thanks for any input ahead of time.
I don't know what it is but I feel like I can't find egg rolls in Denver like we have on the East Coast. What gives?
I don't know if its the type of paper or what but everywhere I've gone serves ones with a thin crispy shell. Anyone know where to get the fat boys with the bubbly shell? Since we're talking about it, where's the best Chinese food and dan dan noodles? My vote is Pepper Asian II near Highlands and haven't found great dan dan noodles anywhere.
Unfortunately a majority of of places stop at 11
One of my favorite breakfast spots has been acquired by the owners behind Morning Story and are wrecking the place. Bluebird became my favorite because they consistently put out fresh tasting food at a very reasonable price. RIP Bluebird, you will be dearly missed
Haven’t seen this brought up here yet but this place is 10/10. I thought apps were better than mains and 100% will be back.
Title. Gotta partner with dietary restrictions and we are looking for options to pig out
Going for the first time Saturday. Anything we have to get?
Got a sicilian from Dough Counter and it was good. Not quite like a sicilian back home in NJ but close enough and great in it's own way. Still can't shake $20+ price tags for 8x10 square pies out here
I know it’s a long shot, but want to see if anyone knows of a place in the Denver area that sells Better Made brand chips. Cheers.
for context, I recently moved here from Atlanta for work. I love some cheap, off the beaten path, delicious Mexican food. I’m thinking a greasy quesadilla and a fat margarita. Any good places like that in Denver or the surrounding suburbs? I’m willing to drive. It’s the one thing I crave every day😂😂 yes, I know there’s better/authentic options, but I just miss this feature of Atlanta real bad and would love to find a spot that cures the itch. thanks in advance ❤️
I was looking at Lincoln's Roadhouse and they seem pretty well rated but the way the owner responded to the negative reviews that were there left me feeling skeptical. Are there any other places worth looking into? Ideally somewhere that has good etouffee.
None of us are "picky" eaters and open to try different things. "Decent" price would be no more than $60 per entree.
With a newborn at home, it’s hard to get out to sushi places anymore but I’ve been craving fresh fish! What’s your favorite takeout sushi? Somewhere within 10 min from Lohi preferably
I had an incredible freddo cap when I visited Montreal and I was curious to know if anyone has seen a spot in Denver that serves them too??
Hiya, everyone! Someone I'm seeing wants to do a "dessert only" evening date for her birthday before she leaves town for a bit. She's told me she loves chocolate and baked goods, but isn't a fan of cheesecake at all.
What places would you recommend for a quiet, close evening date for just dessert and maybe an accompanying drink?
Hells tacos are pretty tasty, and same with the truck that’s parked next to the Dab on Alameda.
Anyone got some other recs? Please don’t say wahoos.
I wanna go to a fancy vegan place for V day. Or a fancy place that has plenty of vegan options. Yes I know about city o city and water course but I haven't explored a lot of other places gimmie tour suggestions
Hey!
We moved back home to Co about a year ago but have two young kids so don’t get our for dinner much… (and originally from the western slope anyways-so truly clueless about Denver food scene)!
We have some great friends coming on Monday and have a babysitter (woot!) but cannot decide where to eat.
Any recs for good food/great cocktails that is open on a Monday? Location not a big deal, would like to be able to hear ourselves talk. Does not need to be fancy but unique is a plus!
Coming to Denver for the day and really wanna try some local food! Any recommendations??
Hey! I’m looking for more upscale restaurants for Valentine’s Day :)
We are students so hopefully nothing on the crazy expensive side of things but certainly want something beyond our campus sushi restaurant. We aren’t picky eaters and willing to try anything once.
Thank you!
I used to love Blake street tavern’s tenders (RIP). I don’t like the light type of breading, I like ‘em nice and crispy. (So I’m not a fan of cane’s/zaxby’s style). This might get hate, but I think the Red Robin clucks and fries (tenders) are goated. But where in Denver can I get this caliber chicken tender fix?
Edit: I should clarify that I’m looking for stand alone dank tenders… I know there’s places like Dave’s Hot Chicken, but I don’t want a place that’s centered around the sauce/spice rather than the tendies themselves (and j don’t think Dave’s tenders are even that good).
I'm on the hunt for a really good low key taqueria. Plenty of solid sit down taco shops Mexican restaurants etc around for sure.
What I'm on the hunt for is your favorite just strip mall taqueria with amazing burritos or something. Been having a hard time finding something.
Live in Arvada but I'll go wherever.
The only one that was of note to me so far was the parking lot in front of Vasa fitness off Chambers, there were like 12 taco trucks. Can't remember the one I got but it fit the bill
I appreciate any and all suggestions!
Hey everyone, my fiancé and I are visiting Denver and will be going to the Avs tomorrow night. We're flying into DIA tonight and will be staying on the 16th street mall. I'm slacking and didn't plan this out beforehand. Please help me.
What are some food recommendations for a great pregame atmosphere?
Title pretty much says it all. I’d love it if someone had a recommendation for decent saimin in CO. Obviously there are a lot of decent places serving plate lunch, but I have yet to find saimin on a menu. Yes, L&L has had it in the past, but without hating on them that’s a bit like looking for a good burger at a McDonalds. Nearest anyone gets is pointing out good Ramen shops. All well and good, I love a good ramen. It just isn’t satisfying that saimin craving though.
So any suggestions? Big mahalo in advance!
I used to love Denver Biscuit Company and would go there often before covid. I went last week with a friend visiting town who really wanted to go. Probably my first time eating there in about 5 years.
The prices literally doubled. The cinnamon roll I remember was $5 and is now $10. It was also much smaller than before. I ordered The Franklin and it was $15.95. Very little gravy and the biscuit seemed noticeably smaller. The fried chicken seemed overcooked.
It was just okay, nowhere near the amazing salivating taste from what I remember. I know everything skyrocketed and shrinkflation and all that but this is one of the few restaurants that really had me scratching my head. Maybe just an off day for the location but I don't see myself going back again if this is the norm.
