Hello,
My Wife and I will be taking her first, my second trip to Denver in February and happen to be there during Valentine's Day weekend. I would love some suggestions on where to take her. I will tell you, anything too entirely fancy is wasted on us. We have done the multi course meal previously and it just isn't for us. (nothing against anyone who enjoys that experience). What we are looking for is something with good food, good drinks, and good atmosphere for two, at or under $250.
Side note: the last time I was in your city I caught a Rockies Game, watched the USMNT beat Mexico in penalties at Mile High, had an incredible fish dish at some corner pub in the neighborhood of my Air BnB that was walkable to the stadium, and the next morning had the most ridiculous waffle egg and sausage breakfast sandwich and mimosas at some place I do not remember. Love your city, excited to show it off to my Wife. Thanks for taking the time to read and if you feel so inclined, reply.
My partner and I are looking to celebrating our marriage with our friends in Denver. We're looking for a nice restaurant that has semi-private or private areas available to host 14 people. We've already been through the actual wedding, a family only event. This celebration will be a nice evening out with the people we consider our 'wedding party'. Does anyone have any recommendations?
In my initial search I've come up with: Mizu Izakaya, Izakaya Den, Kumoya, Tavernetta, Botellón
If anyone can vouch for the ones mentioned, or suggest more, that would be appreciated!
Treating myself to a show and steak dinner for my birthday.
I’ve been to Guard and Grace, have reservations at Elway’s the night after.
What’s a good steak place nearby?
Thank you.
I’m in the downtown area, staying at the AC hotel. What are the top spots I should hit up?
Started working near Union. Looking for the best deli. Was very underwhelmed by Heidi's brooklyn deli.
Adding more info: would prefer it to be walking distance to union bc I don't take long lunch breaks.
What bothered me most about Heidi's is that their bagel is more like a roll. I'm an east coaster so I'm always looking for a good bacon egg and cheddar for breakfast.
Also love the Italian style subs like meatball and eggplant or chicken parm. Maybe I'll try the sandys from sliceworks.
Appreciate the info and help!
Hi all! I (f26) have a lot of bad memories surrounding my birthday, and I’m trying to make better ones! I realized I’ve never been “wined and dined” in the traditional sense, and I think that sounds absolutely lovely! A classy, quieter, romantic meal followed by a nice show at the symphony, or a candlelight concert.
My partner (m26) and I are both neurodivergent, and can have trouble picking outside of our normal fair, so I’m looking for help! He wants to take me wherever I’d like. I’d prefer Italian or Seafood - but am open suggestions!
Price range would be about $150 per person if that matters. Thank you all for your thoughts!
Planning my boyfriends birthday and want to go somewhere with a good ambience but nothing too crazy. He likes Italian, Mexican, American food, a lot of the classics but I wouldn’t do Asian or seafood. I want the vibe to be a little more upscale than just doing a brewery but realistically you lose him when it’s too fancy, like with more exotic meets and vegetables on the menu. Any good spots that meet in the middle of special occasion but also simpler food?
I'm curious what are the best French bistro restaurants? Needs to have both the food, and the old school bistro feel. Thanks!
If you had to construct a meal of your choice using a different metro-area restaurant for each of the following, where and what would you choose?
The places can be close to one another, all over town, or a bit of both.
- Appetizer
- Soup/Salad
- Main Course/Side
- Dessert
- Drinks (before/after)
I have a Resy credit I need to use up and all my favorites in Denver seem to book through Open Table. Anyone have any recommendations for any great places that book through Resy? I’m pretty open to most cuisine types but don’t like raw fish.
My brother is coming to town in a couple of weeks to go to a Nuggets game with me and I have never been to Ball Arena (relatively new to the city.) Can anybody recommend a decent sports bar or pub to grab a bite in advance? Walkable to the game.
Hubby and I are planning prime rib for Thanksgiving dinner. Are there any local deals that any one is aware of that you can share?
This post was inspired by another best bites of Denver 2024. Any more recs for a little farther south?

Any insight on how this will work, or it's worth the time and money? 11 chefs in 2 hours? I'm from New Orleans. I'd love to go check this out if y'all think it's a good idea.
Sometimes, you read a restaurant review (professional or otherwise) and think "Wow, they're full of it" without even having visited the place in question.
What examples come to mind for you?
I've got family coming into town and my mom loves French food, but I don't eat it very often. So, thoughts on which of these spots is better?
Hard to beat the Tuesday night $10.99 tuna melt / home fries special. As always, on fresh made sourdough.

My birthday is coming up this week and my fiancé asked where I wanted to go for a nice dinner. I haven’t been out in a while, so I’d love some recommendations. My only limit is that I don’t eat much seafood, other than that it’s fair game!
Hey Denver foodies what has been your top restaurant (or meal) of 2024? My personal favorites have been: Lucina, Kawa Ni, Daughter Thai, and Sushi Ronin. 🤤
I've seen a few posts asking for recommendations for thanksgiving dinner to go in Denver. American Elm has an eight-person meal starting at $300. The Common Good at the Benson Hotel is also offering a $195 holiday meal package that feeds around 6-7 people. Guard and Grace also offers kits that feed six guests at $395. Hopefully this helps a little, there's also a full list on Westword's website.
It’s going to be a difficult Thanksgiving this year, so I’m wondering if there is a restaurant with a nice bar where they maybe serve some type of Thanksgiving-for-one plate or Thanksgiving themed bar food?
I’m not looking for the big to-go/take-away meals, just a safe escape for a drink and maybe a bite that’s in keeping with the holiday. Downtown area but will have a car and willing to drive a bit.
Is melting pot it for fondue? If so, how is it? Meat quality specifically. Is the steak fatty or gristly or is it worth the price they charge? Little leary as it seems a bit chain restaurant esque to me.

Howdy Denver folks. I hope this isn't against the rules, but I need some help. I visited your city in November of 2021. I'll be returning in March and I'm trying to find a burger that I had last time.
I stayed in an Airbnb at 2142 Julian Street, and me and a buddy walked to a bar and got burgers. I'm confident it wasn't more than 15 minutes on foot, but I don't know what direction.
I've looked on Google maps and can't find it. The place looked like it may have brewed beer, I think they had the big tanks visible. I feel like there were stairs going up, but I don't know what was on the second floor. They had burgers on the menu and did like a rotating special burger. I want to say it was nearby a park.
I know this is very little to go on and I'd roll my eyes at a question like this about Chicago, but I can't get it out of my head. Any possible solutions would be appreciated.
My girlfriend and I want to surprise her mom with a wine tasting sort of dinner experience so I was wondering if there was anything like that in Denver or nearby? She's had a dream of going to a wine tasting and learning about wines. My girlfriend and I are very new to wine but want to go more for the experience with her. So we were wondering if there's a place that has maybe courses big or small paired with different wines? So she can kind of get that experience while still having a nice night out. Any suggestions of any budget are welcome if you know the details though I'd love to know.
We are down to drive around 30 minutes beyond Denver if needed.
Hi everyone,
I am having some technical issues currently with my listing on Google, however we are still open as per our normal operating hours! We appreciate your help and support and look forward to seeing everyone!
Best regards,

Hi all, while living in Seattle my family and I picked up a delicious 4 course meal for thanksgiving. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for restaurants that do a similar “order a full meal and pick it up” type deal?
Hello! Any recommendations for restaurants that do a Feast of the Seven Fishes menu on Christmas Eve? Thanks so much!
