Does anyone know of any place in Denver that serves hushpuppies?
My southern heart is in need of a fix so I don’t have to go back home
If I am looking at restaurants, I want to see prices on the menu. Actually, it's great to just post a pdf of the menu because then any additional "fees" would also be apparent. This one is Park Burger but it is definitely not alone.
Hi all! I am looking for a space to host 40ish people in an informal happy hour after graduation. I’m envisioning more of an open house, where people can come and go anytime during 1-4, and a space with drinks and food. Any places come to mind with private event rooms? Something more causal is my taste. I’m located out west towards Golden , but I am happy to travel as people are coming from all over! Thank you so much in advance!!
Open 24 hours a day On delivery apps Always fresh, ingredients taste quality and not frozeny/ fast foody So many coffee options.
I work est and keep ordering from them at like 3 am.
The little has browns are so good
Never post a random restaurant shout-out but they surprised me with how great my breakfast sandwich was this morning Edit to say: I like the downing location and use them for delivery- you write your own ticket if you go 6am- 6pm in person
Anywhere doing a tasty fish fry?!
One of the best Indian and Nepali restaurants in Denver. My friend and I had their momo dumplings, masala fries, and fish madras. Great foods and service, highly recommend.
I've lived off Federal for a few months, and everyone always tells me there's amazing food in the area. I'd love to hear some recommendations! Bonus points if it's extra close to Federal and Alameda.
Ordered a Pizza for pickup from Sexy Pizza and getting charged a $1 “Tax ID Compostable Fee”
The best part is I got a “10% off!” Deal, but the junk fee eats up 30% of the $3 I saved 😆
Oh man, Reddit didn’t lie about this place! Not only are the sandwiches delicious with a great variety, but the staff was sooooo nice! The bread is fresh baked and the ingredients were fresh. They create an amazing depth of flavour that you just don’t get often in the Denver banh mi scene. We loved the bread so much they threw in two rolls to take home! Honestly this is my go to bahn mi spot in Denver. It hit a craving I’ve had since being in San Francisco and New York.
Maine Shack has announced they are closing both locations due to increased costs, rising rent, etc.
Perhaps if they didn’t choose fancy digs in like the most expensive neighborhoods they could find, they would be in better shape.
Looking to hit up a bougie Michelin star fancy ass restaurant for wedding anniversary. Looking for options on the best one with dairy free options and a fun atmosphere. Suggestions?
I haven't had some good Haitian food in quite a while, anyone know a good place anywhere in the Metroplex?
Come for the lamb curry.
My girlfriend and I have been craving lobster bisque but have never gotten it in Denver. What’s the best place yall have experienced that has lobster bisque?
Where do you all recommend for good pumpkin curry this time of year? Bonus points if it’s near Cap Hill/downtown
I searched but most of the other posts are older and don't reflect the "new" menu.
We are going tonight and wanted to know what people's recommendations are. I'm not expecting much, its not really about the food its more about the experience for me and my family. I just don't want to order something and be super let down. Thanks!
(Real responses recieved below: 8. Find them all!)
Update: Before I unsub from this thread, I just wanted to share for anyone else looking: St. Marks cafe. I learned about them from somewhere else, and it doesn't have competition yet compared to the suggestions below. Especially spacious and on a less-rowdy street, just not the kind of place you'd likely meet a stranger at.
I was wondering if there was a food place (that isn't too down-low to publicize) where people can meet up and have a bite affordably. To elaborate, "meet up" and sit means getting to take your time and being somewhere with a sheltering vibe. A place contrasting living in a cheap apartment building with awful noise. :)
I've been living here for a while and it feels like maybe my head's stuck in the past? If a place like City O City was cheaper and didn't have this overhanging aura of bad vibes for everyone working, or if Roostercat had a kitchen as part of their business, I feel like I'd be golden. Somewhere with just enough social vibes without being only a bar..
Thanks for reading. Tried to keep it short! I don't normally post here but really like the concept of a city forum board, when it's not all salt and vinegar. Hope everyone's bundling up for the cold.
looking to celebrate my birthday with a brunch in denver and thinking we can walk around and get some fancy cocktails after!
planning for a saturday in november so i want somewhere with good drinks walking distance from a nice brunch spot (expecting it to be a bit chilly).
also just wanting to make the day special so let me know if you think of anything else cute or fun :)
Hi, I've seen some people do meetups to make friends and I thought it would be fun. There are two events I want to go to this Thursday and Friday and they are both free and in LoHi - so come with me! I think this could be one part foodie event and one part making friends in our community. ETA: Their insta with more info
Kumoya is doing 4 nights of an izakaya menu this Thus - Sun, so the menu will be less expensive for those that don't want sushi. They'll have duck ramen, hand rolls, fried chicken skewers - the food is really good.
Thursday, DJ Simone plays at 9pm in the lounge - she's so good from pop to hip hop and it's always a cover - though this is free They are doing costumes but come as you are - I don't love dressing up, I just want to go for the music and food.
Friday, they are having Drag Karaoke which sounds really fun! That starts at 9:30pm.
I've been a few tines as I live one block up and really enjoyed the late night menu that they will now serve all night - no age limit on meeting, just come and be open to making friends. I'd come at 9pm for each. Who's in?
It's "opening soon" in the standalone place where Cochinio used to be. Hopefully it will succeed there!
Hey!
A few friends and I are going to be in Denver this weekend and wanted to know the best spots to eat Breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are into modern, upscale, and trendy but nothing too over the top.
Bonus points for good coffee shops!

What bakery can I buy 6 inch hoagie rolls from?
Can't make it, family that was going to watch kid changed plans. Seeing if anyone would like our res for two before I cancel. NOT table seats, at the "chefs counter".
I’ve been tasked with finding a dinner spot for my friend’s upcoming birthday. She wants to end the night at The Grizzly Rose. We will have a driver so it doesn’t have to be super close. Any American food recommendations that will also take reservations (party will be 6-8 people)?
