I'm scoring a short film based around the tale of Old Crockern. I want it to sound as authentic and faithful to the tale as possible, so I was wondering if there are any musical instruments/music in general associated with Old Crockern or Dartmoor in general? If so, are there any sources I should read/watch/listen to?

What is the best hiking trail that offers a lot of elevation?
My partner and I are currently planning a trip to Dartmoor. We’re big on long hikes, and were hoping to find the best trail that shows off the scale and heights of the tors as you walk it. Ideally we’d like to walk to the highest peak, but if there’s some other great hikes, I’d love to learn about them! Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a REALLY warm walking jacket
I've always had Rab jackets, but I just can't afford it this year and my current poor jacket is flatly limping along. Husband has a Pendleton which is the warmest thing ever but it's mega money.
Can anyone recommend a really really warm puffa jacket that's not going to break the bank. Male or female.
I know about vinted but if I'm paying alot of money I want something new as I know how the "puff" deteriorates over time and you just can't guarantee what you get.
*Edit Thank you for all the advice of layering, but I also need to use it for ridiculously early morning going to work and I have an illness where I really feel the cold.

Overnight camp routes
Morning all, I know there are certain areas in which you can and cannot camp on the moors, would like to know some good routes which incorporate a few hours walking, settling down for the night then setting off again the following morning. Cheers!
