I've gotten a lot of information on it from ChatGPT but don't enough about it to decide if it is true or flash?

I live in the toronto area and want to see the Geminids shower with some friends. I was looking and the peak is Dec 13-14th @2am but there is a full moon Dec 15th. There is a new moon Dec 1st but obviously not peak time for the shower.
Curious which date you think would have better/brighter views?
Bonus, if you have any spots you love to stargaze within a few hours drive that you wanna share!
Not sure if this is the place to ask, but I planned a trip to the state park on november 28-30, meaning that I'll stay two nights there. When I checked the weather there for this week it's not looking too good, a lot of snowing and raining. The clear sky chart also isn't looking too good. Does this mean I might not see the stars when I go next week?
I am hoping someone can guide me on this. I'm looking for dark sky sites around Toronto. But also looking for a group that maybe goes to the site together to view because I am new to this, It is hard to figure out what and when conditions are best for viewing. If I am going to be driving out of the city, I wanna make sure at least the night sky is visible. There must be a group somewhere that does this sort of thing together. Thanks in advance
Hello! I'm a graduate student studying light pollution in my city. I have been using SQM meters for measuring overall light pollution. I am also interested in measuring brightness (lumens) of local light fixtures. Are there any relatively affordable/handheld devices you would recommend?
Do you have an interest in the natural world at night?
We would like to understand how people experience the night from across the world - its biodiversity, landscapes, as well as the night sky.
This study involves completing a brief survey.
