I've been working on a new search engine for the Tor network called "Deep Find". It's currently online but still in the testing phase, so I'm not sharing the link publicly yet. However, if you're interested in testing it, send me a private message, and I'll provide you with the link.

Here are some key features:

Bots running 24/7 to crawl only .onion domains.

Indexes only active links to ensure up-to-date results.

A second bot regularly checks indexed links; inactive links are automatically de-indexed.

A scoring system ranks the best results based on site keywords and search queries.

Optimized for fast loading on the Tor network.

No JavaScript is used, focusing on privacy and speed.

I'm looking for feedback, suggestions for improvements, feature ideas, or criteria you'd like to see in a Tor search engine—especially things you feel are missing from others.

I just bought a Lenovo thinkpad L380 refurbished.

I have tails installed to a usb already and I know it works.

On this laptop however, when I go into the “use device” list, the usb does not show up. It does notify me when I plug it in on windows though.

I did some research and figured I need to turn off secure boot, I tried but apparently I need to get into the BIOS. When I try get into the BIOS I’m asked for a password which I dont know of.

Is there any other way of booting tails from my USB than trying to take out my battery for a few minutes so I can disable secure boot on the BIOS?

i just want to use monero for transactions such as buying from the blockchain and sending elsewhere.

would connecting to a node on the wallet GUI be necessary?

I have wifi adapter (tp link TL-WN725N) it doesnt work on tails os.Which one do you recommend? Or is there any way to use that adapter on tails?

Been reading the DN Bible. Apparently it touches on that wifi isn’t a major deal, and it’s actually advised that using my personal at home connection is fine? Reason being, could still have plausible deniability that someone used my WiFi it wouldn’t directly point at me. What if I used plug in hotspot from an apple device. Apple has all these intergraded safety measures like private relay, changing IPs frequently. Very similar to a VPN if not the exact same. I haven’t seen anyone touch on this yet so thought I’d ask. & if I was really paranoid, burner iPhone with hot spot 🫣 . But now that I think about it my phone tracks a lot of data. Random miscellaneous things. Could it easily be linked back to be?

I managed to run TailsOS on a ThinkPad. However I have faced multiple dead ends installing QubesOS, even with my new two USBs. So far, there's no issue regarding TailsOS. I haven't tested out Whonix yet but will definitely give a try after I do a clean install of Linux on the ThinkPad. I still have to install VirtualBox (still finding the best fit operating systems but most likely would stick to Fedora or Pop!_OS, then Ubuntu as a last resort).

Should I just get on with it, and explore the dark web?

I know the darkweb has a lot of weird things on it but I feel like it could be more organized than a word to mouth situation. Tell me what you think!

Im looking to buy a second hand laptop as my macbook air doesnt support tails. 80-100$ range would be great for me.

Obviously on the clear net when we search a Domain name the query goes to a DNS server and points us to a webpage, IP address etc. I am interested as to how this works within TOR. When you click an Onion link what is the internal process to take you to a Dark Net site.

I've been thinking of running an exit node, and just wondering about the pros and cons of doing so, and also the equipment needed. Would it be better to run off a dedicated server PC or just a dedicated PC running PC running Tails.

I have a computer I use specially with my tails drive but it's very slow and I don't have the money to buy a newer burner laptop at the moment. Would I be okay and safe to use my tails drive on my personal computer in the mean time?

Consider updating the version you are running. RetoSwap powered by Haveno is available for Tails as well.

Try to avoid to use it with spyware (Microsoft Windows, MacOS).

both link pgp key are the same as what its shown, the one I found on ahmia address start with to24dab2, the one from clearnet tor.taxi redirected by tor browser is different but shown the same pgp key

Like we Google a person's name and we get tons of shit about that person on the clearnet, how are we supposed to do that in the dark web? Like about a certain celeb, how to get some inside info about them, like dirt on them. (Obviously there is no tutorial, can't share links and url's, but if you know write down a road map)
