Our mission is to draw something every day, whether we're feeling inspired or not. Each day a prompt is posted and anyone is free to draw and submit their drawings.
Our mission is to draw something every day, whether we're feeling inspired or not. Practice makes perfect, so dive in! Respond to prompts, and drop a few of your own into the discussion thread. Remember, the goal is to draw more, not to accurately follow the prompt.
· BE CIVIL or you will get very severely frowned at.
· If your posts might be NSFW, mark them as such! Caution never hurt anyone. If anything, that tag will probably make people more curious.
· Parent comments must contain art.

#THEME - Shadows
Monthly themes are completely optional. They will usually be something broad that can be applied to as many drawings as possible. You can implement it in your normal prompts, or you can use the theme as your own prompt.
#PROJECT
Drawing every day is important if we want to see improvement, but sometimes it helps to have a bigger project to motivate us. If you're interested, choose a long-term drawing to work on through March. Go ahead and share your progress here, be it your brainstorming or sketching or the actual drawing process. If you want to go beyond a basic drawing, you can use ink or paint, or digitize it or any type of media you can imagine. Animate it if you feel like really going crazy. If you're having fun with it, go ahead and stick with the same project for the next month.
If you've already got something in mind, go for it. Comment with your plans and occasionally post updates when you want. If you need some inspiration, here are a few random ideas.

!Something yellow!<
!A detailed background!<
As always, feedback is welcome.

This week's artists were Asrymillenial, ecmmmeee, and eisbaerBorealis. Thank you for your participation!
Bringing this year's total to 3 drawings and 3 artists.
(Future posts will have the users with the most drawings, longest streaks, etc. But it's January, so it's currently a three-way tie for 1 drawing)

If you've been wanting to draw something but haven't had the time, go grab a paper and a drawing utensil! Start a timer for 5 minutes. Here are the prompts for this week:
New Year's Resolution
Puzzle Pieces
Dog-Knight
Jenga Tower mid-tumble
Arendelle
(Reference) Doggy Kisses (r/aww)
(Reference) Forgotten Riverboat (r/AbandonedPorn)
When your five minutes are up, put down your pencil/pen/whatever. Does it look bad? Doesn't matter. Post it here.
If you want, you can keep drawing and post the final result in the main weekly thread, but this thread is for no-judgement, not-so-great, at-least-I'm-drawing drawings.
