I ordered an OEM controller with some mods in it, one of them being a tactile Z button. I’m also considering buying custom red buttons to replace the default ones, and this includes the Z button.
I’m very new to custom gc controllers so I don’t know much, but would the custom Z button be interchangeable with the tactile Z button? Could I swap the default button with the custom one and still have the tactile feel?
Where is a good place to learn how to do notches? I saw Goomy privated his video so now I am not sure how to start.
I got gifted resin casted buttons, but they don't quite fit in my controller so that they don't click, while my OEM buttons obviously work Do resin button need a different membrane to fit better?
I want to get a shell for my oem controller, howerever i was wondering where would someone be able to get them?
tomorrow i’m going to paracord my controller and have saw in a couple of videos that the copper shielding is tricky to manipulate, i have heard of issues when it is removed, but what does removing the copper shieling really affects the gameplay?
I sadly can't source them from Wii Nunchuks because EU Nunchuks have T3s

Hey reddit. Recently me and a friend made our own phobs. We went to calibrate them. his worked but mine is doing what you see in the video. Someone suggested that I make sure magnets are pushed in BUT after opening up the controller and doing so, I am getting the same result. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. I have my own screw driver now so I am able to open it up and send pictures if needed.
Gonna see how well double-sided copper tape works when sleeving the cable
(I don't know if someone else has already attempted this. I apologize in advance if someone else has already done a post about this)
Soooo I need a little advice I already have a smash ultimate controller though I'm wondering if I should buy another controller or if there's somewhere I can send my controller to get it notched and stuff because I sure as hell don't trust my self to mess up my shell let alone a custom shell if I wanted to customize it sorry I'm I'm asking a stupid question but I'm legit curious
Hey yall, I just got a phob motherboard installed in my Wii U GCC thats like 8ish years old, and obviously after my first weekly using it it falls off the table and shatters the spicy stick that I've had for like 2-3 months.
Came here to ask:
Thanks so much yall.
I took out the spring and I took out the left potentiometer to make it so the left trigger can only do digital inputs and somehow my controller still registers light shield inputs from the left trigger. Any ideas how to fix this? Unplugging and plugging in temporarily fixes this until I press L a few times then it happens again.
I recently bought my first first party GameCube controller on ebay. It works well, but the only problem is that the main stick is slightly loose and can cause unintended inputs to the stick. I have some 3rd party controllers (the ones that look like a first party controller but without a Nintendo logo) that have good sticks, as well as having a clicky z button. My controller has a type 2 motherboard so I would need to desolder the stick box, and I have neither the tools nor the skills for the job. It is worth it to just swap the board, keeping the buttons, silicon pads, and shell?
Hey everyone, just installed the new NGC mod kit, but it seems like the face buttons are backwards. As in, B and A are swapped, as well as Y and X.
Everything else is fine. I'm using the 8bitdo wireless adapter to connect it to my PC. Could that be the issue?
I was once a stupid little kid who liked to chew on things, and I chewed up several of my controllers. I have already replaced the analog sticks, but I was not able to resleeve the cables. How can I best and easily go about that?
Wondering wheres a place to get cheap gcc shells. I don't care how they look thought cause I plan to paint them
I have a few phobs and modded controllers from playing smash over the years, and I am looking to sell them. I am willing to let them go for pretty low but I don’t know how to go about selling them.
Hello, does anyone know good button membranes from aliexpress that are clicky. Because I don’t want to source them myself
Since i own both a wavebird, and a 3rd party controller (wich button pads worn out) i was wondering whats the difference between these two, obviously the OEM ones feel softer but do they tend to wear down at the same rate as the 3rd party ones? i ask because im gonna buy either a oem or replacement pads
Control in Color seems nice but they don’t have character themed designs except a few like Minecraft
