Where are we now and is there any expectations of having a crowfall game in the future. The premise is there. I enjoyed the game. The MMO large scale battles were unplayable but the looting/grinding i felt was positive. Im not hopeful for a future. But I would welcome it.
Like many here, I was saddened, but not surprised with what happened to Crowfall. I remember the kickstarter, and the potential of what was promised. With the unpleasant (being diplomatic here) closure, as I'm sure is often thought of here, is there any possibility or even rumour of a revival for Crowfall to make a return?
Has anyone seen Legacy: Steel & Sorcery? I swear it has Crowfall assets, animations, UI elements, etc.
Is cool and all but I don't know where she got it from. The servers are dead so what do I do?
I had a video pop up on my youtube timeline this morning about Bellatores. While it's a Korean MMO, it's 5 faction RVR apparently. Small group based combat. Node that the factions can own. Wondering if anyone here has been keeping up with it and if they know of anything interesting regarding it. I think I'm gonna start paying more attention to this instead of Camelot Unchained (lol).
The combat was trash. A game released more than 10 years earlier than Crowfall in 2009 named Darkfall had far superior combat. It's a damn shame as with decent combat Crowfall could of survived but for a game focused on PVP the combat can't be god awful if it's going to attract players.
I have not heard anything new since the layoffs, anyone else hear something from the void?
Hey folks,
Just wanted to let you know.... in an unsurprising turn of events Monumental (the company that bought Crowfall and Boundless) has just laid off a bunch of people as they are not doing well (shocker).
Of these people, it includes the Game Director for Crowfall (who also assisted directing on Boundless) as well as many artists and likely engineers (just haven't confirmed any engineers via linkedin yet).
updated Here we are, over one year later since Server shut down.
Hello, I have some questions :
what are the game currently state? Full shutdown or is it being developed in the back?
Is it possible to log and play the game like it was?
... since the Crowfall multiverse going dark.
Who's got a memorial planned?
i miss crowfall...new world isnt as good...maybe better crafting but the "classes" blow. any news on when crowfall is coming back?
This game would have been successful if it had just replicated Shadowbane.
A bird flew into my house and literally shit on my Collector’s Edition of Crowfall…this is a bad omen…😔
Whelp the official Crowfall Discord server was shut down. This certainly doesn’t look great for the game.
The only hope I have is that Crowfall is still prominently listed on the developer’s website: https://monumental.io/games/crowfall/ as well as the official Crowfall website still being up.
Maybe they are genuinely going radio silent to rework the game in a major way without any community prodding? (something that was an issue)
If this is goodbye then it’s been a real pleasure playing with all of you over the years. 🫡
So I know the game shut down last year, they claim it is being re-done from the ground up. How much of this do ya'll? believe? I absolutley LOVED crowfall, it had its insane flaws, but at the end of the day, no other MMO has filled the spot crowfall did for me. Ya'll think they actually working still or did they take all our monies and dip
Seriously I was pumped for this game what happened? I played in early access alpha or whatever. Thought it was in a good spot and was looking forward to release. Kept checking in and never saw a release or anything. Game is just gone now?
Started playing Crowfall to satisfy the desire to play a thrones simulator MMO with classes, raiding, teamwork, guilds, all that stuff. What games are you playing now that have a similar vibe? What games did you think were better than Crowfall and played them instead, since everyone stopped playing it before it shut down anyway?
Hey
I was wondering : do you think, do we know if, the game is being reworked a bit like what happened with FF XIV, hence the reason why it was shut down ? or is the game dead forever ?
Given this was a "crowd funded" game with many promises, we all had dreams and expectations of what the game would become.
What did you imagine while reading the promises? What did you expect while watching the trailers? What did you dream Crowfall would become?
I always love to test new games. Especially now that there has been a huge void in gaming over the last months. At least for me. wow is pretty empty atm. etc.
However, today I read the first time about crowfall and its upcoming shutdown. It also stated that the game released in 2021? How in gods name did I not know that? Are these guys not doing any advertisement at all? Usually my Phone provides lots of news about games. But not this time.
After reading only a few about the games launch, it sounds a bit like a shitshow? Also the developers expected way way more players. Well, I would as well. MMO's tend to get lots of attention when they release. But like... how about you try to let people know about the game? I don't know a single soul who has heard about it.
