Seems like BBL Clubs are very popular in Australia. How bout replacing state teams with these 8 BBL Clubs to promote the SS. Also it will be easier for players and coaches as well as they’ll play all forms of cricket for single club and it will give 22 players more opportunity to play Sheffield Shield Cricket. It will be better for Australian cricket over all in increasing the popularity and giving more opportunities to players.
