Laws

Please read the wiki for a more detailed explanation of rules and punishments.

1. No Abuse. No personal attacks/abuse of other redditors. No racism, homophobia, sexism, or trolling. No posting personal information, witch-hunting, or harassing others.

2. No Reposts. Reposts or multiple posts discussing the same topic from only slightly different perspectives will be removed. If a post already exists, add your related link to the comments section instead.

3. No Editorialised or Bad Post Titles, or paywalled articles without the content Don't change the title of posts you submit. Use descriptive, informative post titles. Paywalled articles should have the full text included in the post or a comment.

4. No Irrelevant Politics/Religion or Non-Cricket Content. These topics can only be discussed to describe how they impact cricket. Posts related to cricket only. Off-topic comments are ok if no other rules are broken.

5. Use English Only. Posts/comments in other languages must include a translation.

6. No Flamebait or Insults/Generalisations Targeting an Entire Fanbase/Nation. No generalised attacks/whinging about other fanbases/countries, or blaming fanbases for downvotes. No posts created specifically to attack a team/player/fanbase/country or to create drama. No asking for votes or discussion on posts in other subreddits.

7. No Memes/Low Effort Content. No 'cheap karma' posts or visibly annoying comments - please read this for guidelines. No novelty accounts, useless bots, daily voting games, link shorteners, 'happy birthday' or 'on this day' posts, or posts/comments asking mods for things.

8. No Streams or Copyrighted Content. Do not share or for sharing of illegal video streams or other copyright-infringing content/highlights (including videos or gifs). Use official sources only - read this for background.

9. No Toxic Fan Behaviour. Be polite and respectful when expressing negative opinions. No low-effort hate/insults or toxic abuse directed at players, umpires, clubs, fans, associated people, or formats of the game. Do not wish for injuries, or cheer when they happen.

10. No highly specific/trivial stat posts and low-effort match event posts Do not post stats which are overly specific or trivial and follow the guidelines around match event posts. More detailed definitions of both can be found on the wiki

The Mods' interpretations of the above laws is final.

Blatant racism or trolling WILL result in a permanent ban without warning.

Match threads: How to request a thread via the bot.
